- Part 2 of my last video. These two stories are overall easier than the hero one, but it's a fun challenge nonetheless.
Part 1 • Sonic Adventure 2 But ...

I think the characters look kinda cool with the upgrades but there's something about a more simple character design that is also appealing.
It's actually possible to beat Knuckles' section of the core without the air necklace, I know this because I never knew the upgrade existed when I first best the game. However, I would never ever reccomeded anyone try it without doing that speedrun strat because it's absolute hell
Yeah I’ve done it before knowing it existed. Would not recommend lol
Sonic and shadow stayed true to themselves
You can beat cannons core without the air necklace, its just a huge pain in the ass to do. On my first playthrough i missed it in aquatic mine and had to be really fast in the underwater section
1:11 the background scares me 💀
this was actually really interesting to watch :0
In the guidebook, it says the power-ups are optional, but I've seen someone 100% SA2B and each power-up is crucial to 100% the game.
Sonic Adventure 2 But I Can't Get Upgrades But I Actually Can
I remember not knowing where are the light dash shoes in white jungle and just spindash jump to the spring lmao
I think using an upgrade consistently to avoid an upgrade kind of defeats the point of rhe challenge, but since the Bazooka would activate every time you shoot you are technically still making the best choice for a minimalist version of a failed challenge run, so I guess it still makes more sense than just grabbing the Bazooka upgrade.
No Upgrade Sonic is BACK!!!
Just a tip for treasure hunting stages, I'm pretty sure if you die you keep the keys/shards/emeralds, while remaining ones switch spots. So in theory, you might not need to dig if I'm remembering correctly, though you would need a lot of lives.
The only part of this theory that could be wrong, is I don't know if there's stages where there will always be shards in the ground or walls.
Pumpkin Hill/Egg Quarters will always have 1, since that's where you get the upgrade to dig
@@jelehu do you know if there's somehow glitches/exploits to get around that? Or is the upgrade a necessity for beating the game?
@@The_AuraMaster You need to collect the upgrade to clear those stages, as the stages are hardcoded to always spawn a shard/key underground until you do. After that it'll start letting all three spawn out in the open.
Coincidence? I don't think this is coincidence, because thumbnail says "the end".
Hey, btw you dont need the shovel claws or pick nails. If you die, the emerald shards / keys will change their spawn point, allowing you to not need to dig.
That only applies to 2 of the shards. The 3rd one will always spawn in an underground location unless you get the upgrade.
This was a fun watch
this is artmagic
This is the content we need. Sega should've allowed us to beat sonic games WITHOUT the upgrades in general tbh
OMG you posted
That's pretty cool!
It's possible to get all 180 emblems without any upgrades?
Guess that Ultimate Lifeform don't need any upgrades to win the game. All other characters do.
The fastest thing alive also doesn't need any upgrades :)
@@sonicalibur_iii Wrong hedgehog - Shadow is the Ultimate Lifeform, while Sonic is the Fastest Thing Alive.
@@Fredcat11 Exactly, they both didn't need amy upgrades
@@sonicalibur_iii Have you beat Sonic Adventure 2 without have Sonic gain any upgrade? In Final Gadget, Sonic needed Light Speed to get through.
@@Fredcat11 He just said in the beginning of this video that he was able to get through Crazy Gadget and Final Rush without any upgrade.
Unleashed next?
Bro skipped metal harbor. You can’t complete metal harbor without the light speed shoes
they did in the hero story video
Wow
