Yeah, considering that Corazon is one of the biggest proponents of random lunacy in the D&D sessions, it's a surprise how strict Andy is with keeping outrageous nonsense in the back. Same thing with Dob and Luke, with Dob being one of the guild's biggest agents of chaos and Luke being more relaxed and "Okay, you can't do THAT but..." type of GM. I'm just curious what Jane would be like as GM.

The concept of a world fair in a world that explicitly is home to fantasy creatures like sasquatchs still faking wonders is hilarious to me in a way I can't quite articulate.

Love how Luke makes you realize that despite being a deadly killer that Delacey is still just a kid. Also, Andy letting Luke and Ellen describe the NPC's keeps him from having to keep track of their life and details and places that onus on the players- great DM'ing on his part.

I've gotten the impression she wasn't on the up & up for awhile. -No talking about her family she's given up everything to get revenge for. -handing out jobs dispassionately as if these targets mean nothing to her. -no sigh of relief that the people who killed her family have been brought to justice. Yes, it almost is as if she's using them. Although the rings don't seem to make sense on their own. The never seem to omit any kind of magic. It also seems weird that if they are powerful why would these extremely selfish people not use them? 2+2 != 4 here.
The most realistic depiction of taking a child anywhere. I feel half this episode was Andy wondering how he'd get them back to the point of coming. Ellen was great!
I have to say, I really love Luke's role-playing. Between D&D, Blades in the Dark, and Deadlands, all of his characters are so believable and immersive. What a talented guy!

PCs who as well as adventurers are also performers, PCs having to improvise being performers, etc. "Make a character who's part of a travelling circus" as part of a pitch is guaranteed to get me at least 2-4x more excited to play in the campaign. "It's never occurred to Delacy he could die" - Yeah, even after Nate died in the duel tournament he was part of, that tracks.
Every episode of this series is beating the last in sheer quality of the acting. I think the most surprising performance is Ellen, because Edie is so different from Merilwen. But Luke's Delacey is amazing (I love his totally realistic, instinctive teenage reactions), Andy's DMing makes it hard to remember how careless he is as Corazon, and in this one Jasper's performance was stunning. That bit where he announced Delacey's act practically gave me the chills. Improvisation at its very very best. Absolutely love it.
Loved all the editing and sound design in this. And of course, the performance from all of you. PS. As soon as Andy said the mark is in the consumer industry with products that leave people oddly hungry, I couldn't help but think 'Famine'.

I loved this episode! I really like the energy Jasper brought to this and Andy has been doing an awesome job as Marshall for this season. I hope that the end of this season doesn't mean we never get to see the Deadland characters again because I think this setting plays to a lot of the team's strengths in a way DnD doesn't. Plus, it is wonderful to see everyone taking turns at GMing.

off topic, but: there are shirts, and there are SHIRTS. jasper has shown up wearing the latter, and quite frankly i am here for it. also pirate campaign when, jasper deserves it on that shirt alone, we can get him and andy trying to out-pirate-shirt each other
