- Flywheel, heavy wheel attached to a rotating shaft so as to smooth out delivery of power from a motor to a machine. The inertia of the flywheel opposes and moderates fluctuations in the speed of the engine and stores the excess energy for intermittent use. How Does a Flywheel Work? The inbuilt motor uses electrical power to turn at high speeds to set the flywheel turning at its operating speed. This results in the storage of kinetic energy. When energy is required, the motor functions as a generator, because the flywheel transfers rotational energy to it. The first is to maintain a rotating mass (inertia) to assist the engine rotation and provide a more consistent delivery of torque during running. The second is to provide a ring gear for the starter motor to engage on. The third is to provide one of the driving friction surfaces for the friction disc. Traditional flywheels have been very expensive because engineers align the natural axis of the wheel's rotation with the desired rotation of the generator. If your flywheel is going bad, a smooth pedal is not what you will feel. You may feel vibration as soon as you place your foot on the clutch or when you press down on the clutch. The vibration tends to get stronger as you push on or engage the clutch pedal.

Actually this one is conversion kit part of from contact breaking system (platinum point to CDI flywheel. Pls correct it sir lamby lambretta was 6volt stator and gp dl150 stator was 12volt and some different in fly wheel.i think that difference because of crank shaft length and load of crank (my opinion )
We can instantly fit 12v flywheel and system to lamby 150. I did it almost 01 year back. And went at very good speed. And some of 12v stators are my own made
Before seeing this video, didnt know we had to lube the stator pad. Sir can you please show how to lube it correctly.
Just put a drop of gear oil or grease

Flywheel doesn't get spoiled easily. If any damage occurs to the Flywheel then only you have to change it
