Great videos cheers Nancy I am looking at adding some 1.5mm diamonds to a 1.1mm thickness gold ring i made (making it for the first time) I had a 3mm diamond but it is too deep and sticks out the bottom if the band. Therefore decided on the 1.5mm's as they wont protrude! I drilled a 1.0mm hole in some scrap silver the same thickness as the gold ring and used a 1.5mm setting burr as a test - I can gardly see it. How can i possibly flush set the diamonds as the burnisher is as wide as the hole near enough?
hello nancy. I'm Koray from Turkey. I turned 47 years old and I am a Jewelry Design Faculty Undergraduate student. There are not many in Turkey that make educational videos like you do. You guys are great. I've watched half of your videos so far and liked them. I do not know english. I am doing this text with google translator. I hope I don't get it wrong. I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart. bless your right. Right now, after my family, you are the person I love the most in the world. don't let your hands worry. stay with love and respect. May God give you a long and healthy life.
It all made sense to me! Thank you so much for taking the time to say such kind words!!!! Good luck with your schooling! Hepsi bana mantıklı geldi! Böyle güzel sözler söylemek için zaman ayırdığınız için çok teşekkür ederim!!!! Okul hayatında iyi şanslar!
Thank you for this. Of all the settings I’ve done, flush setting was always my Waterloo. I had SO much trouble with it, and it was so frustrating with everyone and their poodle saying how “easy” it was to do. I finally managed to get a stone set and realised that my issue was sizing of my holes. All the info on sizing is very helpful cos I STILL have some issues at times
Hi Nancy! I have a quick question - I'd like to flush set a 3mm stone - it's faceted but has a flat back. Would I need to drill the hole differently to make sure the stone sits correctly and flat?
Thank you so much for your wonderful tutorials. So is it just the tiny metal lip that is holding the stone in place? I have some lively lapis stones that are cylindrical in shape. Flat top and bottom. I would like to put them in a bezel so they sit flush with the top of it. Any idea of the best way to go? I am tempted to cheat and use glue.
Thank you for making this video! I successfully flush set a couple of stones for the first time! 🎉
Great videos cheers Nancy
