Yay steven is starting a channel!!!! He seems like a very friendly guy and a great youtube personality not to mention some nice equipment also hay looks good and excited for harvest????
We tried both the John Deere and heston mowers this year if you want one that runs circles around the John Deere in both grass and alfalfa hay buy a heston it ran circles around the new John Deere and it was alot easier to service and costs of parts were way less .
We are in ND and looking to maybe get into raising hay. What is your opinion of the HW340? How many hours do you have on it? Better cutters for the money?
I love our HW340. We only have around 3000 hours on ours. When the time comes I was thinking about just replacing the head on this one instead of getting a whole new machine. Very nice machine and very easy to use
You're absolutely right about not pushing your equipment to see how fast it will go. Besides breaking stuff it just wears out sooner
Very true
Hey Mike just wanted to let you know the 8830 video is up if you and your viewers want to check it out.
Cool, I'll check it out
Nice looking hay. Another good video. Will be watching for Stevens channel.
Thank you very much. I told Steven that I would help him get his channel up and running
Awesome video. I can't get over how quiet it is in the cab.
Thank you very much. Its a great machine for an older model
Alfalfa grass mix should make some nice feed which makes good milk. Hoping you get it in before rain. Great video. Thank you.
Thank you Stacey. Couldn't quite get it all before the rain started but got a lot. It does make some really nice, high protein feed
Mike do you ever miss cutting with a self propelled?
Yeah, sometimes, it definitely was more comfortable sitting and facing forward and having the mower in front of you
Our neighbor who supplies us with small bales for our horses still hasn't got his second cut done. Lotsa poorly timed rain around here.
Same here. Its been crazy with the rain the past month.
That will make pretty nice haylage if you can get it off with no rain... look forward to Stephen’s videos as well
He'll have some good videos, I told him I'd help him get started

Nice video mike how many cuts do you get off these fields
For alfalfa definitely 3....4 if the weather and regrowth is good. This year it will be 3
Great video Mike! Are you ready for corn and soybean harvest to start?! I am i want to start tomorrow!
I would love to be chopping corn silage right now.
Will you double up the windrows!
No we don't have a merger. We'll just chop them as they are
How many acres are in that field and how many acres of alfalfa do you have altogether
These are the 2 alfalfa fields we have. These 2 will come close to filling the silo. Probably around 40-50 acres
How many acres of hay and alfalfa do you have?
probably 50 acres of alfalfa and 150 in hay
