Some information, just for comparison, without spoilers, In Average an E rank is around at least twice if not up to 5 times stronger them a normal person and the ranks keep following that logic where normally a single D rank if well equip enough could wipe a whole E rank team of 10 people, so an S rank is strong enough to wipe cities and being a national treasure or threat.
I think there is only like 5 S rank hunter in the whole Korea and even Like japan has 6 or something, There are very rare world wide
the original material is Korean but it is animated by Japan so they have Korean names

Sung jinwoo is the weakest hunter, he is just slightly stronger than a normal human, so even in a 1v1 with a E rank monster, he either win but not unscratched or he might get killed. thats why he cant buy a better equipment because it takes all of his strength to just beat an E rank monster, so he doesnt get much even from hunting
they did a great job portraying how weak sung drip woo is rn, the power fantasy is gonna go crazy.

Those statues are above S rank. Jin woo goes back into the same dungeon with almost ever s rank in Korea which are around 10 and a shit ton of A ranks and they all get clapped except sung Jin woo because Jin woo was the only one above S rank but he did get severely wounded after the raid and was in the hospital for a couple days after. Those statues are no joke. The purpose of those statues was to find a human that would be suitable to be the host of an extra dimensional god called ash born aka the shadow monarch who is basically the embodiment of the concept of death. Those statues were suppose to find a suitable person to inherit his power but they took it too far. After Jin woo died from that big statue ashborn revived him and give Jin woo his powers but sealed it in his body because Jin woos body wasn’t able to handle his full powers so he basically created a system like screen that only Jin woo could see to help Jin woo strengthen his body and each time Jin woo strengthens his body he unlocks a new ability that belonged to ashborn hence the name “solo leveling”.
That's too much of a spoiler for someone who didn't read the manhwa, bro, you should write it as short as possible.

To give more insight into their ranking system not everyone awakens some people awaken later in life, some earlier, some in the middle, and some never do.
Sung is the weakest hunter ever even among other E-Ranks but compared to unawakened people he’s stronger then them.
So the weakest hunter in mankind is sorta true.

SJW is so weak, that, while "Technically" an E-Rank, he would probably be an F-Rank if they added such a Rank. I forget the exact number of "Magic Power" he had, but it was lower than what some guy said should have been the bottom of what accounts for "E-Ranks" and by a fair bit too. Like (using arbitrary numbers) if the low end of E-ranks had 70 power, SJW had like 32. That's why he struggles so much, even in E-Rank Dungeons, which should be more his speed.
Also, the group that Sung is with are all E & D Ranks, with maybe some Cs, so they are all too poor to afford more than a basic weapon. It's not until you are in the higher end of C Rank hunters that they get scouted to join powerful Guilds, so only the best of C Ranks make money, while B and A Ranks can easily make good money since they are almost always scouted by a big Guild. So you can kind of tell the rank range of a Hunter by how they dress. If they are Raiding in street cloths, they are weaklings, if they look like fantasy Cosplayers, they are higher tier Hunters.

So overhyped. Just judging the anime episode and it's average at best. I look forward to seeing the next, but look at all the reactors losing their minds over it is annoying. Hope it lives up to the hype from the manga people.
its ur usual mc gets stronger tropes, if thats not ur cup of tea then better see another show, anyhow the manhwa is not bad but starts to fall of abit around the 3/4 , one thing good are the visuals
manhwa is overhyped as well. The art is god tier, but only the opening arc is interesting. After that its just train > flex > train > flex > train > flex, and after he got his kpop haircut he becomes an emo as well.
And a flawed system where everyone else cant get stronger except MC means that every new character becomes obsolete sooner or later. Was disappointed by how easy it was for MC to defeat the last villain of S1 after all that build up. I never started reading season 2
