How I got here…

I use directional air roll + forward flip on controller and it feels fine to me. Maybe it would be bad without using an air roll bind to flip
You can speed flip on kbm, it's just timing
I tried...The speed flip still works (got to the ball in 1.9s), but the plugin automatically detect I did a 45 degrees...maybe we can ignore that factor in KBM?

@@stawify I had RL for two years before I got a controller - and there are very few disadvantages to KBM at least at the low ranks.
Hi Luke ! Thanks for adding that content. Big fan of yours and tried to learn speedflip with your vids and this plugging too. But I talked with a lot of friends struggling With speedflip and that’s something no one talk about in tutorials. It may sounds stupid but people doesn’t know if they need to do the first jump with neutral joy - turn the car - second jump with joy in top left. Of if the first jump should be left directly. The only bar I struggle in the plug-in you gave is this first jump orientation part and I think that’s something way too much forgotten by tutorials :)
5 minutes after installing the plugin, I succeeded touching the ball in Musty's pack for the first time in months training this pack. I was just not holding boost the entire time.......... Thanks a lot sharing, as well as Tyni for creating this amazing plugin!

That plugin is crazy ty so much I was training this training pack for days and barely could get it now I managed to success 5 times in the first 20 minutes thats crazy ty
You definitely should have mentioned about letting the ball reset properly after each attempt. A super common error people make when they do that training pack is when they mess up an attempt, press the reset shot button and then immediately go for it again. You lose time.

You can do an alternate speed flip holding one air roll directional and a quick front flip cancel. It takes out the confusion of getting the correct flip angle and it's much more beginner friendly for your coaching!

I don't get it. I can complete the musty speedflip by using air roll right and frontflip (perfect diagonal) as long as I double jump and cancel fast. Is it still a "mistake" if it works? 🤷♂️
How can I flip cancel in less than 50 ms on kbm? I know a type of speedlip, but checked it with this plugin, and it's usually over 100 ms, rarely below 90. Can't do 50, because my finger holding forward needs to move to hold down. :O
I will never be able to do this but by far best example out there
for the corner and side-mid kickoffs i don't adjust my car I just speed flip right when I get the first boost pad

Thanks luke I've actually figured these out myself a couple of weeks ago but I still get the angle wrong.. it's funny that I think I'm speedflipping but my teammate who just boosts beats me to the ball 😀 guess I gotta work on it some more 😀
I'm plat II in 2s and Gold II in 3s. I "speed flip" on the kick offs and I always get to the ball. However the same thing happens to me, because my teamates who just boost gets first to the ball. Think I have a lot of room to improve yet.

@@TheLizardskin u should learn how to speedflip after hitting c2 minimum XDD
What I also found helpful was to cancel the flip by holding the joystick straight down and only correcting right before the landing.
This way, you still have "maximum cancel" and also got more time to find the right amount of correction.
(Feels awkard for the first 10 times, but you will quickly get the hang of it)
This video came just in time I've been struggling with speed flips and end up just using a regular diagonal.

So I have played both console (series x) and pc, and there is a distinct difference in input delay, even with the colsole having the most ideal setup for reducing input delay. Because of this, using the same controller, I can flip cancel significantly faster on pc than I can on console. And this isn't a pc I'd be able to actively play on as the performance isn't good enough to stay constant, but even on this lower end pc the less input delay is noticeable. I've played on better pc rigs and things like aerial control feel way more responsive just due to this small input delay difference.
Why can't I access the Discord? I've been in it for 2 weeks and there are no channels to type in.
Musty's kickoff pack is broken and has 0 shots in it, won't load. also I'm having problems getting the plugin to enable.
I buy all my item shop items with spook creator code to support him... AS A SUPPORTER I must say...these feel more like a commercials than a tutorials lately
Its impossible to do a different angle than 45, 90 or 180 degrees on KBM

For all the kbm players out there, it is still possible to speedflip even if you can only flip at the 45 degree angle as long as the other bars are in the green

Yes, and it's much more consistent imo. Idk how its speed compares, but I've always had no issue completing speedflip training packs
@@JohnJillky You can get a perfect speedflip with that version, it is just harder to get the angle right, also your flip cancel will be slower since your stick would be nearly straight up so it would need to travel the full diameter of your analog stick
I can't land facing straight at the ball for the life of me. What am I doing wrong ?
Why does no one talk about the easiest way to speed flip?. Literally hold your air roll and flip with your stick straight forward and then cancel ASAP downwards. Holding air roll the whole time and power slide to land
I don’t know why they don’t either it’s so simple and way more precise then the original
I agree the way you describe is functionally the easiest way but (a) not everyone has directional air roll and even if you do (b) the ability to manipulate various diagonal flips and cancels with your joystick is more generally applicable on a wide range of scenarios, like pre-flips, flip resets, flicks, etc.
(Accidentally hit ENTER, so here's the rest) Additionally, there are some that claim that the 11 o'clock to 6 o'clock flip and cancel angle produce the *fastest* speedflip, while ARR/ARL + frontflip cancel is fractionally slower, since it is emulating a 10:30 to 4:30 flip and cancel.
Do you still slightly turn your car before the flick or It is a straight forward movement?

Yup. That’s how I do it. I speed flip with either directional air rolls. I mix it up and win way more kick offs this way. Also helps with covering more of the field. Depending on how and where I’m positioned I speedflip with either left or right. Super easy and consistent. My mechanics are ass but I’m quick enough to move from zero to 100 real quick conserving boost. Champ 2
Hi SpookLuke and thank you for the tutorial. Can u please tell me is the powerslide after landing is necessary - can u touch the ball in musty speedflip challenge without using powerslide? Because my powerslide is at Square and my boost is at Circle and I cant press them both at the same time. I’ve been playing Rocket League for 3 years and I don’t think changing the bindings will be an option because I’m really used to use both directional airrolls (L1 airroll left / R1 airroll right) and there is no place on L1/R1 for the powerslide bind. So I can’t use boost and powerslide at the same time - I feel bad because I cant learn wavedashes that way :/ Thank you so much!
you can have airroll l1 and drift on l1. why not?
@@huntermcmorran9294 No place for directional airroll left then. :/ And if it’s airroll left + powerslide on L1 then I will not be able to do wavedashes because the car will tilt left.

@@huntermcmorran9294 yea but im used to use both left and right directional airrolls .. airroll right for recoveries and rearrangements of my car before hitting the ball in the air, and airroll left for almost all the time while im in the air

If I understand your problem correctly, you have custom map variance on in bakkesmod. Put it to no variance from bakkesmod settings (F2)

Hello guys I just want to ask if I should hold the air roll button all the time while speed flipping or not. Please I need somebody to answer me
depends if you do a straight front flip or a diagonal one. if doing straight then yes you need to hold air roll, but if you do slighly to the side like how spook does in the vid then you dont need air roll

Just hold air roll and do a straight front flip cancel. This whole 11 o'clock 30 degree angle, slight opposite adjustment thing can be completely avoided, and made easier for beginners.
Hey luke, I'm d1 divi 3. and I CAN speed flip but I'm not accurate so I just use it to save boost, but when playing in my tournaments it throws me against high diamonds who can properly speedflip I found I can usually challenge the ball in the air by pre jumping it. which prejumping is usually bad, but the ball usually flies into their top corner and since their teammate cheats 90% of the time I win the kickoff. This is consistent too. NOW. I don't know what it's like in champion lobbies and higher. And if THEY could get the ball around me. but it's pretty solid every time. I still plan to learn the speedflip kickoffs obviously since stopping the ball is sometimes a good thing but. It hasn't been THAT important to me so far. What are your thoughts?
speedflipping is the least of your concerns in diamond
Speedflipping to save boost does absolutely nothing. The point of a speedflip is getting the speed from a front flip while having your boost always facing forwards so you can boost at the same time, if you aren't boosting there is no point in speedflipping (doesn't mean that you shouldn't on no boost since you can speedflip over pads and hold boost the whole time though)

prett sure the plugin doesnt work. downloaded as usual and it doesnt show. edit: got it to work. its doesnt automatically load up like most plugins. you need to go into plugin manager and enable it.

I would not tell people to drive for longer on kickoff before initiating the speed flip
If you wait too long before doing the speed flip on kickoff you’ll actually land TOO close (or too far UNDERNEATH the ball after landing) which will cause your second flip into the ball on kickoff to be too far underneath the center and you’ll get ABSOLUTELY dunked every time
what he said was valid though. you cant speedflip to early, or too late.
It is sort of like an optimization problem, you want to flip at a certain point in time that will allow you to gain the most out of your speeflip/boost usage while not wasting speed you could have gotten from basic acceleration. Waiting a little bit on kickoffs is how you do that

In bakke's mod, for some reason it turns on shot variance by default. You can open the big menu and just turn it off. Bothered me for a bit, too.

Aint no way Im c3 now and 6 seasons ago before my brake gc and aparenatly I cant even speed flip. I always did it with too big angle like 45 or something instead of the 15-35

Am I the only one that this plug in isn’t working for? All the indicators come up on screen, but the training pack itself changes. The ball starts up in the air slightly, and the time clock changes to 5 seconds.

And then there are those of us KBM players that can hit green on all the boxes and still not reach the ball on the training pack. Been trying on and off for over a year and still have never made contact. C3 with >2k hours so I am not sure if it is really simply a mechanical or skill related mistake.

When you try to get a feel for it:
Rhe spped boost from the flip should be exactly the speed increase that it missing from the boost that you gained on the ground.
Might not be the best advice, but maybe it helps some of the "theoretical" people like me.
something no one ever things about with these tutorials is kbm players like me. we don't have as precise control as controller players but we still want to do them.
I do them fine on controller with ARL/ARR. Bind one/both of those and you should be able to do the same

@@devin6437 its pretty straightforward no? jump first is time till you do your first jump. flip cancel is how long it takes for you to do the cancel after second flip, dodge angle is you dodges angle... the top bar shows if you are always holding boost and throttle

Honestly not speed flipping then just hitting the ball 2nd seems to get better results anyway. When my speed flips DO hit, the ball doesn't exactly go in favorable spots all the time. Plugin looks neat, though. Like a speedrunner tool.
I hear ya and agree to an extent but it is definitely rank dependant. If you're a lower rank, say Diamond or Champ where not many or not everyone can speed flip, and you can really nail this mechanic down, you can really dominate a large percent of kick offs. I am low champ but have really worked on speed flip kick offs lately and am finding I completely win more now than I don't (by win I mean I get the first touch AND the ball goes opponent's side), especially from the diagonals. Head on is tough.
the map doesnt work for me the timer just resets to 10 after 2 seconds
If you are on pc, I think I know the fix. It has happened to me before. For me it had to do with a bakkesmod training setting. Dont know what the exact setting is, but its something along the lines of "override training timer". I believe if you look through the freeplay or custom training tabs in bakkesmod, you will be able to sort out the issue. May require a game or session restart after the setting is changed if the issue persists. Good luck👍
