most of 2s and some of 3s at the diamond and low champ ranks i treat as mini 1v1s, until I see how you control ball and your car. then trust is gained and all kinds of pass plays open up.
To the end of the video. My Favorite RL 2s situation. Teammate hits ball center where opponents are. I rotate back to protect goal cause he hit it to them. Teammate spams “Take the shot!” As they are bouncing around in the opponents corner or goal and left me in a 2v1. Then spam “What A Save!” Gotta love solo queue 2s.
Spend the beginning of the game working out the other players play styles and adapt. This is your team mates AND your opponents. Everyone plays differently around the field so it's important to gauge what they like to do as soon as you can so you can make informed decisions.

it has to do with the amount of touches you did before hand and the time you have been on the ball already. your teammates get impatient which is a normal kid.. *cough* human reaction. but it also means they don't respect you anymore because it takes too long. to those i would like to say: does your team have ball possession? if the answer is YES, stay on the ground. you dont have to double commit lmao if you don't have possession anymore its time to either pressure or defend. and this depends whether or not the third man is behind the pressing player.

nah in 2v2 it takes a mistake from both of players for you to get scored on. Say your teammate is in a 1v1 and gets flicked on and you guys concede a goal, it isnt solely his fault. Yes, he could've saved the ball, but you can't control your teammates and start blaming yourself because that's how you rank up. Yes our tm8s are holding us back. Not my fault if they dc or are just playing like a potato it's a team based game not a who can 1v3 and rank up game. The ranked system is flawed anyway because it doesn't go for your individual skill in any mode other than 1s. And you can't be everywhere at once and for whatever reason tm8s love to throw the ball away constantly and then when they do control it they just pinch it over back to our side like bruh does noone know how to just chill and play smart and not play when they're tilted af?
I tested the theory that most times you pass off the corner to center the ball results in the other team scoring. That's not true in my experience. I believe you can and should make those passes in the lower ranks, provided you hustle back on defense after the pass.

That's what I do. I center the ball a little bit further than the mid field and rush back. If my teammates score, that's fantastic. If they don't, no worries I got them covered.
delay time sounds like a weird word, i know it might be legit, but in my head, the terms you might need is "buying time" for your teammate, so that your teammate have time to come back

The forth tip really doesnt apply if you are a advanced rank (champion or high dima), because if you are playing with bronze teammates, you must do everything for them, and for yourself, why they have really bad consistency, If you're winning, the game can turn in a second because of their failure.
i recently was finally able to hit my original goal in RL of hitting gc after 2ish years of playing. i have worse mechanics than most people in champ, cant half flip, cant consistently dribble or hit amazing shots, or have any crazy aerial game. clean rotations, passing plays, looking for bumping opportunities, not overcommitting, applying pressure, and most importantly, ADAPTING TO YOUR TEAMMATES. you cant play the same way if you have an extremely aggressive teammate always looking to be on the ball vs a more passive player, someone who is always looking to pass, or looking to shoot, etc. your teammates are not horrible, you just arent enabling their skillset because you are not a flexible player. people who solo q are at the same rank as you for a reason, feel them out and look to play around them. the game gets EASIER as you rank up if you play this way, because it becomes more likely your teammate has a skillset you can work around that will secure you the win. if you just stop blaming everyone else for your own shortcomings.

It's mind boggling how many players in upper diamond and champ still don't know how to rotate or don't care to do so. If I had a dollar for every time I get blamed for their fck ups... They actually are. Just won a Plat tournament with a couple randoms that were mad decent. Took a couple games for them to put faith in me as a heavily defensive player but we worked it out. They never made any major moves but they moved out the way and let me hit a few clutch arieals that made the difference, and that's not credit to me man that's to them for the good passing and rotations. WDYM bro? My teammates in diamond outright sabotage me easily 50%+ of the games that I solo Queue. I can't carry a 3 v 1 no matter how good I am playing. They PERCEIVE you to make one mistake then instantly turn on you for the entire game. Literally if they just went AFK, I can carry a lot of 2v1s, but not when they are always outright sabotaging me. I won't play anything other than 1s if i'm not partied up.
Play more 1s and freeplay, get better individually, after a few weeks go back to 2s and 3s and you will see youre gonna win games just because your playing better than earlier
The point of this video is focusing on what YOU can do to rank yourself up, even with crappy teammates. Everyone, and I mean everyone has a time or a rank where teammates suck or do things completely counter intuitive to what we’re used to. The point is to learn how to deal with that and create the best possible outcome. You can either say “it’s my teammates fault” or “ya my teammates are rough sometimes but I’m going to play smarter so that I create the best outcome with this teammate.” The latter mindset will actually help you rank up because you are focusing on what’s in your control vs what isn’t. So, focus on you, continue to get better and read your teammates and you will definitely rank up. You got this my dude! Now let’s get these rank ups! ✊

I had a 3v3 in d2 today where my teammates raged because I whiffed. They both left and then suddenly I played better 1v3 than 3v3. 3v3 is just hard, simple as.
One of the biggest problems is you might watch these videos to help but if your tm8s don’t, it’s still a struggle. Also, the people making the videos haven’t had a plat tm8 in a looooong time. 😂 They make suggestions like our tm8s are champ or above and understand rotations etc. it’s just doesn’t work very well.
Streamer and youtubers are so toxic saying this. I shouldn't have to solo carry in a doubles lobby... that's the problem here. It's obviously the teammates' fault if I'm always carrying. It's so hard to find someone good in solo que doubles and then they never party up with you for some reason even though you both clicked and had synergy. So frustrating. I tried for months to blame myself one way or another but it's not a healthy mindset always beating yourself up about it and your rank. It's actually brings morale and gaming esteem down. I have no idea if people will see this comment and respond, but what do you do with teammates who have literally no idea of rotation and just ball chase the entire game hoping to either get lucky or out mechanics the enemy. Like I'll see both teammates go in, and I'll go back to play 3rd man, and then they just never leave the ball and I'm just stuck waiting and waiting for a time to push up and take over, but it never comes, until I subconsciously creep up and the ball goes over my head and we get scored on. I'm around low gc1 and I just got this season's gc rewards easily, pretty much thanks to putting those tips/reminders into play. especially to always stay prepared for the worst outcome and not go for any risky challenges before my teammate is back makes a world of a difference

Ranked is broken. It is super easy to go down and impossible to rank up, at least in EU. I can't even remember the last time I won a ranked game and I am losing ranks like there's no tomorrow.

Yeah this is huge. They don't allow control, so sit back, defend, pop shot up for them to chase. Only push if full boost and a good risk/reward shot.

i recently was finally able to hit my original goal in RL of hitting gc after 2ish years of playing. i have worse mechanics than most people in champ, cant half flip, cant consistently dribble or hit amazing shots, or have any crazy aerial game. clean rotations, passing plays, looking for bumping opportunities, not overcommitting, applying pressure, and most importantly, ADAPTING TO YOUR TEAMMATES. you cant play the same way if you have an extremely aggressive teammate always looking to be on the ball vs a more passive player, someone who is always looking to pass, or looking to shoot, etc. your teammates are not horrible, you just arent enabling their skillset because you are not a flexible player. people who solo q are at the same rank as you for a reason, feel them out and look to play around them. the game gets EASIER as you rank up if you play this way, because it becomes more likely your teammate has a skillset you can work around that will secure you the win. if you just stop blaming everyone else for your own shortcomings.

It's mind boggling how many players in upper diamond and champ still don't know how to rotate or don't care to do so. If I had a dollar for every time I get blamed for their fck ups... "Go for it, go for it!" "I would, if you weren't glued to the fckn ball and rotated back before you lost your third challenge in a row..."
For the rotation you need to get back quicker cause your teamates are in 2v1

They actually are. Just won a Plat tournament with a couple randoms that were mad decent. Took a couple games for them to put faith in me as a heavily defensive player but we worked it out. They never made any major moves but they moved out the way and let me hit a few clutch arieals that made the difference, and that's not credit to me man that's to them for the good passing and rotations.

I go behind my teammate for rotation (I make it super obvious) and they don't push the play in C2 😬 they just sit still and wait to get scored on
Maybe they took what flakes says too literally by never touching the ball? I'm c2 and yeah tm8s not going for the ball can be quite annoying

WDYM bro? My teammates in diamond outright sabotage me easily 50%+ of the games that I solo Queue. I can't carry a 3 v 1 no matter how good I am playing. They PERCEIVE you to make one mistake then instantly turn on you for the entire game. Literally if they just went AFK, I can carry a lot of 2v1s, but not when they are always outright sabotaging me. I won't play anything other than 1s if i'm not partied up.

Play more 1s and freeplay, get better individually, after a few weeks go back to 2s and 3s and you will see youre gonna win games just because your playing better than earlier
The point of this video is focusing on what YOU can do to rank yourself up, even with crappy teammates.
Everyone, and I mean everyone has a time or a rank where teammates suck or do things completely counter intuitive to what we’re used to. The point is to learn how to deal with that and create the best possible outcome. You can either say “it’s my teammates fault” or “ya my teammates are rough sometimes but I’m going to play smarter so that I create the best outcome with this teammate.”
The latter mindset will actually help you rank up because you are focusing on what’s in your control vs what isn’t.
So, focus on you, continue to get better and read your teammates and you will definitely rank up. You got this my dude! Now let’s get these rank ups! ✊
@@40krocks21 well if I try that playstyle then I better just quit bc I ain't playing this game the way that will bore me to death as I want to enjoy playing mechanically well with some brain to rank up, if I actually played with this playstyle then I could probably get like gc1 or gc2 easily but I find it more fun to play mechanically and games are meant to be fun
I had a 3v3 in d2 today where my teammates raged because I whiffed. They both left and then suddenly I played better 1v3 than 3v3.
3v3 is just hard, simple as.
When I play I normally go on the walls and centre the ball then rotate back and hope my team mate scores or the other way round. Thanks
One of the biggest problems is you might watch these videos to help but if your tm8s don’t, it’s still a struggle. Also, the people making the videos haven’t had a plat tm8 in a looooong time. 😂 They make suggestions like our tm8s are champ or above and understand rotations etc. it’s just doesn’t work very well.
Streamer and youtubers are so toxic saying this. I shouldn't have to solo carry in a doubles lobby... that's the problem here. It's obviously the teammates' fault if I'm always carrying. It's so hard to find someone good in solo que doubles and then they never party up with you for some reason even though you both clicked and had synergy. So frustrating. I tried for months to blame myself one way or another but it's not a healthy mindset always beating yourself up about it and your rank. It's actually brings morale and gaming esteem down. Makes me not want to play because I feel like I am garbage after every person making videos says this yet they always have someone to party up with who's solid in 2s
I have no idea if people will see this comment and respond, but what do you do with teammates who have literally no idea of rotation and just ball chase the entire game hoping to either get lucky or out mechanics the enemy. Like I'll see both teammates go in, and I'll go back to play 3rd man, and then they just never leave the ball and I'm just stuck waiting and waiting for a time to push up and take over, but it never comes, until I subconsciously creep up and the ball goes over my head and we get scored on. Or when theres a cluster fuck happening in your corner and your just waiting at your back post or front post to try to save a ball if it comes your way without getting caught up in it

I'm sorry but if my teammates literally every single game do nothing but wiff, double commit, steal the ball from me, miss passes, pass the ball to the other team, refuse to guard net, then it is their fault and you're just wrong if you disagree. This is all rocket league is Solo Q. They want you to carry complete morons for some reason. The ranking system is one of the worst mmr systems i've ever seen for such an otherwise great game. I've had a five friends that all play this game watch me play and without me ever saying anything they all comment on how dogshit my teammates are and point out exactly what is going through my head about them. One of them is even gc3 so it's not like golds are telling me this. Why even bother defending the MMR sytem in this game? you can carry some bum hard AF for the whole game making all the saves cleaning up his messes and then you get smoked

I'm around low gc1 and I just got this season's gc rewards easily, pretty much thanks to putting those tips/reminders into play. especially to always stay prepared for the worst outcome and not go for any risky challenges before my teammate is back makes a world of a difference

Learn how to 1v2 with a bad tm8 that's it people. Once you hit c3 and above that's when having a tm8 counts otherwise just get better more hours

You would be flabbergasted if you see my tm8s. You could handle them an open net that they will miss and owngoal just the very next play
c3 tm8s whiffing open nets and saves really does mean it's my fault. The grind to GC once again is tough

Ranked is broken. It is super easy to go down and impossible to rank up, at least in EU. I can't even remember the last time I won a ranked game and I am losing ranks like there's no tomorrow.
When he says here's coaching but won't tell you a price its either hundreds (out of most price ranges) or filled already.
how about instead of telling everyone "no one plays as a team" some content creators stop telling people to "go play 1's" guess what, every person who grinds ones to get better is a total crap teamate becaseu they only ever think one's any more. this one piece of advice that every coach/trainer gives is the single largest reason noone knows how to play with teamates in a supposed team game.
