Sorry Michael Bublé, Jamies sensual voice just steals my heart every time I listen to him. In my modest opinion , a most wonderful Artist. Merci de partager ce morceau de bonheur!
What a difference a day makes Twenty-four little hours Brought the sun and the flowers Where there used to be rain My yesterday was blue, dear Today I'm a part of you, dear My lonely nights are through, dear Since you said you were mine What a difference a day makes There's a rainbow before me Skies above can't be stormy Since that moment of bliss, that thrilling kiss It's heaven when you find romance on your menu What a difference a day made And the difference is you What a difference a day makes There's a rainbow before me Skies above can't be stormy Since that moment of bliss, that thrilling kiss It's heaven when you find romance on your menu What a difference a day made And the difference is you
It's a bolero: Cuando vuelva a tu lado no me niegues tus besos que el amor que te he dado no podrás olvidar No me preguntes nada que nada he de explicarte que el beso que negaste ya no lo puedes dar. It was written in Spanish, now it's an standard.
I can hardly believe that 76 people have clicked dislike. What is there not to like about this? This is an excellent version of this song. Respect to somebody as young as Jamie Cullum for actually doing this type of music.
Watching this, I find myself wishing that I had the opportunity to see Jamie Cullum perform in such an intimate setting. I was grateful to see him in Atlanta Ga (USA) and was so incredibly impressed, most especially when he left the stage and brought the concert to the middle of the audience. His flight was late, and he and his fellow performers had been rushed to make the gig, but aside from a mention of those salient facts, one never would have known that he (et. al.) had been inconvenienced in any way. The performance that night was spectacular (despite my seat-mate's need to express everything in the moment on social media via her phone) I'll be watching the tour schedule in an effort to catch this most incredible performer in a cozy venue, thus fulfilling a life goal of mine.

I think this guy is great. He's natural in his approach, and his voice with it's slight huskiness, sets him apart. He will be one of my most listened to. I generaly like big band crooners and the like, but this guy has something. He will go a long way.
Many years ago my dad, who would be 95 now, came in while I was fooling around on the piano and asked, "do you know What a Difference a Day Makes? That's a great piano song." Mind you, this was a guy who had been an oil field worker and didn't have a lot of sophistication. In the 20 years since he passed on I've thought about that and wondered where I could find a version worthy of emulating on the piano, even if just messing around. I think I found it here.
@@liberalaccidental Thank you for finding and replying to this comment. Of course I remember posting it 11 yrs ago but don't think I've seen it since. Means a lot that it would touch people still. Yes, a very warm memory.
I got his 18 something cd back when it came out. I used to play classical trumpet and ad lib some swing. Even hung out a lot with the mocking shadows in the vat in red deer and I went damn this beautiful music, this soulful music is dying. No... not dying, being lost... I fell in love with it... and that cd.... and he's chugging along. THANK YOU JAMIE. A true artist. Edit: keep it alive man. You are beautiful.
one of the best songs composed by mexican Maria Grever, born in the late 19th century and deceased in 1951. The original name in spanish is Cuando esté a tú lado. Very nice Cullum !
also, anyone who is not impressed with his voice doesn't have any idea what they're talking about...his control is amazing...his musicianship is outstanding...pitch perfect, tone quality, expression, and timbre--all beautiful. LOVE HIM! plus it is so rare to find a singer and pianist that talented. i mean REALLY!!! come on folks...
The abject beauty of these lyrics as they interact with the melody is spectacular writing. Jamie's version and interpretation had phrasing that brought me to tears. He gives such hope for the next generation of song-interpreters. Every input, from visual in his performance to the audience interaction is just spot-on. Thanks!
M8T12B93... you have no idea what you are talking about. This song is electric and Jamie brings it to life like nobody else can. Its raw and conveys the exact right emotion... Well done Mr. Cullum
This song is quite romantic and fancy. I heard it wen I was waking up early in the morning. The original lyrics were beautifully written in Spanish by Maria Grever and the original title is "Cuando Vuelva a Tu Lado" (When I Came Back by Your Side). I've seen this preforming live twice and what could I say?, Jamie is a talented singer. I really liked it!!!

Cool Jamie, cool! A great performance of the classic by María Grever! Cheers from Mexico City!
I recently read about Maria Grever for the VERY first Time and WOW 😳 I was blown AWAY so blown away that she female and MEXICAN.... I've always loved this song for MANY year's sung by Male and Female.. but Jamie Cullum to Me..Sang IT the WAY I LIKE IT TO BE SUNG.Woo Hoo!!
jamie cullum is a god. one of the best things out there in SO many ways....just the sound of his voice makes me happy, I think he's a magical elf,.......
It would be nice to tell that the author of this beautiful song is the mexican musician María Grever and many famous artists have it recorded, such as Aretha Franklin, Eddy Gormé and Dina Washington... but certainly, Jamie Cullum's is also beautiful...
I admit it ,I'm an old codger. This is my kind of music. This is my kind of jazz. I'm blown away by this young man's eloquent interpretation. I"m a fan.
Love to read all the comments from the armchair experts on here who only play with their own small instruments but critique anyone who has the talent to play anything bigger. Bore off and go watch vids of people chucking bricks into washing machines and leave talents like Jamie Cullum to those who appreciate it.
I recognise and appreciate a great artist when I see him/her, but please don't insult the Russian guy who throws utility tools in washing machines. That guy's special.
Young man and so talented! I love his work- his voice his performances, the way how he feels the music .. great :) Im sure see him live is an unbelievable experience
this shows me just how ignorant i am. i have heard this song and loved it for many years (sarah vaughan - dinah washington) but i never knew that it was written by a mexican woman. thank you for this wonderful piece of information.
WOW! This guy is amazingly talented. Never have I heard (or anticipated) someone this young, perform this song with such gratifying expression. I'm a fan!
How can something like this not get under your skin. He grabs hold of the essence which keeps body and soul together and plays with it.

When your sons send this to you because they say that you're a wonderful mom 💗 Yeah, feeling extra special today & everyday 💗
I used to listen him in my 20s beginning... Today I'm at 28, and I found him again... Oh my God, how did I forgot Jamie?
Same. 32 now. Life is beautiful
I was about 35 or so and now 50. It feels like yesterday. What a talent JC is.

Une voix sensuelle. Et sans effets inutiles only the thrill.Amazing!
Jamie is as much at home in a jazz club as on the big podia. Unique singer and great pianoplayer. Bravo, indeed.
One word... Awesome, incredible, so talented..Okay that's more than one word but Mr Jamie Cullum is deserving. Great talent!
I love how he does the same song always different to the studio version. Great improvisations! Vocals and Piano. Respect to his creativity!

O Jamie trouxe a juventude que eu achava esquecida no jazz... Um jovem gigante na pura beleza desse gênero. Great!
Berenice Chaves com certeza esse cara é espetacular
