Love having an open and transparent coach. What a draft!
Cool to hear from Mayo. He has a great personality and I'm excited with what he and wolf have put together so far.
I remember Mayo from Quick Slants and I was amazed how smart this guy is. It's understandable that he has to be careful with what he says here but I'm really happy to have him as our HC.

Nah....it's Javon Baker "The Touchdown Maker"....that's the fire nickname right there !!! Wish I could take credit for it but it came from the UCF announcer and was in one of his highlight reel videos.
Super pumped up for Baker too !! Straight steal in the 4th. Polk is severely overlooked in this draft too. He coulda/shoulda went late round 1 like Brian Thomas did. They are both dawgs and play with a chip and they track balls very well....good 50/50 ball guys.....both are great YAC recievers....etc .Polk has great hands too....Baker has had some drops....but he seems to have cleaned it up because he didn't drop a single ball the entire 2nd half of the season last year.

Just like I didn't kill Belichick for drafting Strange where he did I will not be complimenting Mayo and Wolf until we play snaps. I hope they got the evaluations correct but it felt like they did the same old stuff Bill would by going against the grain not taking shots at players all 32 teams have unanimous grades on...
??? They drafted based on needs not the best player on the board. We needed a QB check, WR check, OL check, DB check and possibly a gem in undrafted rookie free agent signings. Mayo and company drafted accordingly and did a very good job in the 2024 draft. Hopefully all these picks will contribute moving forward, but one thing is certain they got a stud at QB and 2 solid picks at the WR position. Belichick would have drafted a defensive player from a division 3 college or would have traded their 1st rd for 2nd and 3rd picks…no thank you.
I can tell you right now with confidence that if it were bill belichick making those picks we would’ve traded down drafted guys for the secondary like Arnold or dejean and Wide receiver wouldn’t have been addressed until at least the 4th round. This regime change has def changed our picks

Coach Mayo gives off the vibe that he’s not a big fan of Drake. I don’t like sensing that as a fan.. He needs to get behind him and help make him the best player he can be like Buffalo did with Allen. It’s about doing what’s right for the Patriots not his personal preference everyone knows the Joe Milton pick was his choice what kind of message does that send to our #3 overall pick? Are the commanders or bears talking about competition in their qb room? I was excited when he was hired as HC not so much anymore
get tf outa here. Mayo is the one who wanted maye according Reiss and Breer who have been spot on this offseason. They knew they needed QB and Drake is the best prospect in this whole draft.
@@LG0006 if that was true why did he push for them to draft Milton ? What kind of message does that send ? Maye was wolfe’s pick, I trust Elliott Wolfe to bring in talent coach mayo’s job is to help develop that talent and to help the patriots win football games. All I care about is the patriots getting back to another Super Bowl I have nothing against coach mayo i just think he needs to take a step back and realize who he has in the building and how important it is to get Drake to resign with New England after his rookie contract is up.

@@ShalekColon Actually Mayo brought up race when he was hired . He gave himself a bad rap. Mayo will bench Maye for a black QB before its over no matter how well he does. Maye will be better off somewhere else.
@@racebannon8569 Mayo responded to Kraft saying he doesnt see color, by acknowledging there IS a difference in cultures and its important to accomodate. And it hasnt been mentioned since.
