      Hey Nathan! Ya obviously depending on your age, size, condition, your body will adjust accordingly. However, proper recovery, diet, sleep, and hydration will help speed up the process. So as long as you're sticking to the training schedule and not skipping workouts, I would focus on those areas to support your body and keep you running at 100! If you put dirty diesel fuel in a ferrari, it's not going to run like a ferrari! Keep it up bro and keep us posted

      played when I was 12-13, started to skip practice and completely quit. I would even say that I had some talent, but now back in the sport w. 18 y. o., having a complete other body is a little difficult to play like back then. In addition, the other teammates played all the years through and now have the skills. It‘s tough and a little depressing, but I want to find the love in the sport again and I have fire 🔥
      wish me luck

    I used to be a decent player when I was 14 years old. I used to have an intense fire to play basketball. I could handle the ball and shoot lights out. But it faded away when I turned 16. I gained weight and I got depressed and reached my all time high in weight, 260 LBS at 5'3" when I turned 18.
    But during the month of July 2019, I got the spark to play basketball again and I tried doing the same moves I could do back in high school. It's completely different with a 260 LBS frame and I realized I wasn't the same as I used to be.
    Here I am now in February 2020 at 186 LBS. I'm slowly getting my skills back and lost around ~80 LBS, but I'm still not satisfied of where I'm at skill wise with basketball. I will take the advice you have given in this video and I hope I can improve within 6 months. 🙏🙏

    • @rogerisnotthatbad2490
      @rogerisnotthatbad2490 2 года назад +4

      Maybe work on pressure. Throw a ball against a wall, and let it come back real fast to stimulate a pass, then take it and practice a jump shot or layup immediately after. Will help with the real game if you are a shooter player. If your a guard, I dunno.

    • @g.berwald5312
      @g.berwald5312 2 года назад +1

      I know that. You need to work on speed. Make your practice shotsmore realistic. Like for shooting: practice off the dribble, practice turning to the rim aming and shooting fast. Practice with a self toss to mimic a pass as well. Also don't forget to breath

    Hey, Alex. How do you guys structure your workouts? Do you dedicate days to one disciple like dribbling, shooting, etc or try to incorporate all of them in every workout? Sometimes I don't know what to focus on.

    • @harambe2670
      @harambe2670 7 лет назад +5

      dribbling workouts don't usually take that long. You can get a great dribbling workout in just about 10-15 minutes of pure dribbling. It could take more depending on how much you want to work on it and depending on how much dribbling moves you want to practice. That being said you should easily be able to incorporate dribbling, shooting, etc workouts all in one gym session. I play high school ball btw and Im usually in the gym for at least 2 and half - 3 hours a day/gym session.

    • @ThincPROBasketball

    Heyy coach, I have a question. I play basketball everyday trying to improve my game. I'm 6 feet and play the pg position pretty well. I can pass the ball at the right time, my defense is pretty good, driving to paint is decent, and my shooting is the best skill I have. I can shoot the ball very well anywhere from mid range to the deep 3. Only problem is I never played for a team. Do you think there's a chance I'm able to play college ball if I continue to work hard?

Then with all that you will have an overall skill set👍💪🏀 Work on all aspects of the game to become elite

    I just turned 13 last month and I'm 6'2. But, I play the small forward position because I can dribble and be a playmaker like a guard & I can get rebounds and stretch the floor like a big. But most of the time, my coach tells me to play the Center position and while I do that, I still stretch the floor and grab rebounds. Last year in November I was 5'11 and I grew a couple of inches in only about 6 months. What should I mainly work on?
