Hi guys 👋 I'm sorry about the measurements of the chain, the multiple of 16 + 7 and add 2 more chains for the turning stitch is for the flower pattern and I figure it out that it's not working properly for the first row that I made it as a border for the flower if you make different number from mine. I recommend you to repeat the same number like mine that I made 103 chains and add 2 more chains for the turning stitch (105 chains) it's worked perfectly or if you want to make it shorter or longer than mine, if your first row it's not end with 3 double crochet, it's end with 2 or 1 after you have skipped 2 chains and it's okay to end with those remaining stitches because it's not gonna see at the end of the row of the headband when you tight it under the hair.
I think it’s multiple of 16 plus 7 stitches (+2 turning chain). I’m not good at math but I think you’re right. Row 3 needs multiple of 16 + 7 plus turning chain to work…

I've done 16×4 chains + 7 + 2 and the Row 1 does not end with 3 DC instead I'm left with 3 extra chains even after 3 DC. So it doesn't work in the multiple of 16.

I'm sorry again it was my mistake 🙁 because I did not make many experiments enough I only figured it out for the flower pattern and the number that I got it's also fits perfect for the first row too, I don't know what to call the name of the stitches of the first row is 😄 I just made 3 double crochet, chain 2 and skip 2 chains then repeat, it's just a row that I added to the flower pattern to make it look like a lace and make the headband more bigger 😊
I just wanna ask what country do you live? I cant find that kind of yarn in my country. Polyester yarn here looks like indophil yarn that i hate bcs its not smooth 🥹
