Congrats on the new camera. You’ll enjoy every bit of it I’ve no doubt. I’m glad you liked the video. I really enjoyed this video as that’s a road with a lot of history and goes unnoticed. Tomorrow I’ll post a google map of the road here and you’ll realise how unusually straight it is compared to other Irish ☘️ roads. I do love black and white and you’ll get some lovely conversions on your new m8. If you’ve any questions on it reach out. Is that an Australian flag? Ps. I’m also Aussie 🦘 🤣

Good man and beautiful shots! Planar so clean. Loved the refreshing sound. Such a nice country, singing accent, unique diaphaneous, sheer and limpid light on the emerald island, especially on the west. I loved so much the sunny spells, a bit less the scattered showers! You're so lucky to have your feet in the Kingdom. Walls of gorce in the ring of Kerry in June, tortured trees, knights sheep, pure fat green, stone melting in lakes and the ocean just stole my soul. I left a bit of me on the island she won't give back. I miss Ireland so much I'm sure I'll come back as a ghost to blend in this gold - and have a few.

Really enjoying your videos, Colin. You make some fine images - I particularly like your monochrome shots. I'm living in Italy, but am originally from Dublin and feel a nostalgia for Co. Hey mate, ah he’s southern hemisphere autumn’s, magic time in New Zealand no doubt. We’d a very long and wet winter here. So roll on summer!!!! Oh, haha the accent. I think you do very well indeed. I’m still adjusting to talking on camera and it has gotten a little easier with each video. In my latest one on the butter road I tired to give nature some air time. You did give me an idea that maybe sound is something people are j interested in and I might go over my setup. ?!? Thoughts!?

For me, using a M is not to increase any performance. Manual settings has a calming effect on me, the noise of the M10 monochrome shutter is a sweet melody, the ergonomics are friendly, and all together, each photo session gives me the joy of a child in an entertainment park. I don't need more to be happy.

Mate I hear ya. I’ve been shooting M cameras since 2010 when I by chance came across Leica stand at PMA expo in Sydney! And I was fascinated being a surf sports photographer! I used the m10 mono in the Leica Washington DC store last in 2022 and it is super sweet. It’s a personal thing but for me I’ll always shoot the M hopefully. Lately developing some pushed hp5 I will shoot my M4 a lot more I think. It’s pure magic! For all my longer term projects they’re on the M cameras. My videos are just outtakes from some of those days shooting and I hope you had a look at some of the others? Can I ask where your from? Always fascinating where people tune in from.
