I am in love! I always thought Makena looked like a baby doll, and this girl does not at all. I think it must be the eyes - wider instead of round with the white under them makes a HUGE difference. I like her lip paint too. Thank you for the comparison! And thank you for your videos. I'm always excited when I see that you've posted. I love how sweet, calm and peaceful your videos are. I love the sound of your voice, the music that you use and your gorgeous photography. Please do keep on keepin on! :)

@@EvelynRoseAG You just never know. No more for 2023, but who knows what 2024 will bring. Right now I'm just so curious about who the September LE doll or dolls will be and what Lila Monetti will look like on October 7th. I wonder if they will use different face molds for any of them. We shall see.... Oh, and I do have Evette and Maritza (customized), so it would make sense for me to eventually add a Makena mold. And I don't have a doll with brown pinwheel eyes (only brown decal and amber pinwheel).
It's nice seeing the 2 of them together! I am not a fan of Makena but was surprised that I thought the 123 in Costco was cute. I wound up getting 122.
123 is definitely much cuter with the face mold tweaked. I’ve since added fuller lips to mine and she’s even better now!

I just watched your video today. Funny how we both commented on the bow. I like when the bow is done for me and I don't have to redo it. I have always thought that Makena looks much different than TM123.

I think it’s a cute set but I’m not getting it but I think it’s great for gifts especially for someone’s first ag doll!

Thank you for pointing out that 123 was "hiding" (hidden) in the back. I have seen this happen enough (Kohl's most recently) that I've gone from trying to give stores the benefit of the doubt to feeling it must be intentional (as least a lot of the time)... Re: the whites under the eyes on Makena, it was the first stark difference I noted between the two dolls (yesterday on IG) and I much prefer NOT seeing the whites under the irises. I think this #123 is gorgeous, but I have been noticing how small the lip paint is on the bottom lip in every one I see. That's a change I'm not a fan of. I think next time we're in the store I'm going to pay more attention to the 123 in-store. If the lip paint is fuller, we'll hold off until Amazon has a TM sale that includes her and get her then. I love the blanket, though! Thanks for sharing :-)
I felt like I had to point it out because even if it’s not intentional, there should be more thought put into it. It worries me that dolls with darker skin are shoved to the back or not advertised as much, and then are inevitably put on clearance, further reinforcing the mindset that they don’t sell well. As for 123, if you like the fuller lips I believe the ones sold in stores have them. I will personally be updating the lip paint on mine because I’m not a fan of the way they made the lips thinner but I do love the other changes. I’ll be sure to share when I do!

I’ve been wanting to get the Joss mold with the curtain bangs (122 or 121)? I wasn’t sure if I wanted this Costco set or to just get her with points from AG and get that hideous meet.
122 is so cute, I just love the Joss mold. The nice thing with the Costco set is that I got to pick out my doll in person since there’s no store next to me. And as a bonus of course she didn’t come in the hideous outfit 😂
The Costco Makena does look slimmer in the face. The first Makena has a baby face IMO, and I’ve had a hard time seeing her as a thirteen year old girl. I like the new sculpt.
I agree - loving the changes, minus the lips. I’ve since fixed mine and made them more full and I think she looks amazing.
If I wanted a Makena I would probably purchase #123 and the Makena books.
I do wonder if they will update new Makena dolls to the new version of the mold. I love having both in my collection as I'm a bit of a nerd but if I had to choose one version, it would definitely be the one used on my 123.

I agree! AG tried similar packaging in 2017 or so and it seems so cheap.

Your new Costco doll is cute. She does look quite different from Makenna but as you said it’s nice to have variations of face molds in your collection. The donut on the chair with that blanket looked super cozy!

I love these dolls. I'm so sad I don't have a costco near me, I really want the Jess mold doll! Hopefully if there's enough stock left over they'll go to the last chance outlet on the ag website like other sets I've seen

It is cute but definitely not anything that you’re truly missing out on if you can’t get it. Our Generation at Target likely has similar accessories. I didn’t always live near a Costco but luckily they came to our city finally 🥰
