  • Amsterdam is a lovely city and I appreciate all of the beauty of the city. We didn't vlog a ton on this vacation but we wanted to share our highlights and what we loved and would do again.
I camp and hike in and around the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. I'm also building and enjoying an off- grid cabin in the woods with my partner Cory and the kiddos Nora and Ethan! I love sharing the journey with you!
Thank you for supporting my channel :) :)

As someone who has visited Amsterdam many times, I can say that your walking tour offered a unique perspective that I had never seen before. Thank you for sharing your insights and knowledge with us.

This brought back so many memories! The countryside around the city is gorgeous. The Anne Frank house was very emotionally draining, but a definite must see! When you walked into Mark Raven's gallery, my jaw dropped. I bought a print of one of his pieces, but didn't know anything about the artist, and didn't know the gallery existed. I especially love the fact that many peeps in canal houses left their blinds open, so you could walk around in the evening and catch a glimpse inside and see the architecture and how they were decorated! Oh and to seeing fields of tulips growing...I want to go back!!

I have never been to Amsterdam when tulips were in season. That would be a treat.

So nice you got to cycle in Waterland. Such a beautiful area so near Amsterdam, but completely rural. And the most excellent coffee stop.

The people at the coffee stop were sweet as can be. I would definitely visit that cute little stop again. Plus they had ice cream!

Cory eating the butterfly whole was one of my favorite parts of your video.🤣 Biking in the countryside was my favorite part of the trip for sure. Very cool.

That is the city of my birth but I grew up mostly in Manitoba. Amsterdam has a place in my heart forever and always.

Thanks. Yes, putting this video together was difficult because I really didn't vlog a ton. This trip was a nice time with family, but in the future I want to focus more on video efforts. Thanks for the feedback :)

You put the postcards in the wrong slot, assuming you were mailing them abroad. That slot was for local zipcodes. The other slot is for everything else. No problem though.

No, please stay away tourists. It is too crowded! Locals want live here and we don’t buy TikTok cookies and chips and Nutella Shit. and make lots of noise and you can’t ride a bike. stay away. We don’t want to become Venice. Go home please.

Decades ago A'dam was very touristy too,
but people came for history, old architecture and art.
Nowerdays it's all about sex, drugs and parties...
The red-district dates back from the middle-ages because of
regulations that guaranteed liberty in anyway people wanted to live or work.
But it was not rule, but only tolerated.
    The tradition of republican
    tolerance (first in Europe)
isn't always understood by many unhinged tourists.
    You're definitivly not the
    average tourists.
    Thank you for that .
