Wonderful swinging; excellent balance among the soloist, full of enjoyment starting from the musicians.. So different from what we hear today, a boring deluge of hundreds of notes and 30 minute choruses, usually in fast tempo on unknown and unrepeatable tunes; no heart only mind and a show of technique.. Bob's one the best bassists bar none. I sat in with him in Bloomington during his college days. He was great from the get-go.
