    Readings: Exodus 16: 2-4, 12-15; Psalm 78: 3-4, 23-24, 25, 54;
    Ephesians 4: 17, 20-24; John 6: 24-35
    The readings for the 18th Sunday in ordinary time year B, beckon us to reflect on the themes of sustenance, transformation, and faith. The Scriptures provide a rich tapestry of narratives demonstrating God's provision, our response to His call, and the transformative power of encountering Christ in our lives.
    In today's first reading from the book of Exodus, we encounter the Israelites wandering in the desert, grumbling and discontent. Despite their murmurings, God provides manna from heaven, sustaining them in this barren land. This profound act of divine sustenance reveals God's faithfulness and care for His people, even when they falter in their faith.
    The Responsorial Psalm echoes this sentiment of remembrance and trust in God's providence. As the psalmist recounts the wonders of the past, we are reminded of the Lord's faithfulness throughout history. In times of trial and tribulation, we are called to recall God's faithfulness and draw strength from His past deeds.
