That was awesome. Vicariously. Crazy white water rafting, crazy downhill MTB ... going to take a lot of practice to feel comfortable. Colorado looks beautiful
Thanks for posting! Awesome balance of commentary, footage and cuts that keep it interesting and a reasonable length. I live up the canyon and this is my go-to ride. It’s nice either way but I recommend people ride it in the other direction (clockwise, going up the stairs rather than down) as it gives you the best DH sections downhill and most rideable uphill sections on the up. I’ll take the carry up the 200 stairs (I’ve counted - it’s pretty close to 200) for a bit of cross-training over trying to ride up the loose rock fire-road section across the canyon from the stairs any day. Keep up the great work on this channel! Thanks!
LUCKY!! It's such an amazing and beautiful trail. We loved it, and also how friendly and respectful all the mountain bikers were. You're right about carrying the bike up - I think it would feel a bit safer. I can't say it was easy carrying my bike down in bike shoes. Thanks so much for the kind word. Really appreciate it.
I’m from Southern California but there is all kind of riding in Colorado (and here) I also have a longer travel bike- a Santa Cruz Brownson for the more gnarly. I do find I want more suspension with my blur- but love how light eight it is (23 pounds)- I can ride most everything with it, it’s just a bit more jarring- so I’ll go slower-
Great tour! Haven't ridden it yet but I might after this video.
Thanks! I'd ride it all the time if I lived there! Love these Colorado trails.

Thanks! You guys need to hit Colorado. It's pretty epic and not just for mountain biking!
@@AdventureMuse It's on our list! (what isn't?) We'll be passing through for a day this fall on a massive road trip. So much to do there.

Do you ever worry about hitting a rock on the trail and tumbling down the steep side of the trail? Awesome view
Sometimes. I road the top of the stairs sections on this trial, than realized It was really steep and not something you should ride. LOL.
Great video! Would simply suggest that bikers should generally stop and let hikers pass as per the signs typically seen on trails in Colorado. Thx
What bike were you on?
A Santa Cruz blur- it’s a short travel light-weight bike
