    The difference btw Curry and the rest on the 3-point list is that he made 3-point shooting his deliberate play trademark from the beginning. For the others is it was mostly as the occasion presented itself. Great achievement. It wouldn't surprise me if he ends up around 5,000 by the end of his career.

He didn't average over 10 until his 7th season. When great shooters start playing their whole careers at 10-12+ 3pa per game, the record's gonna fall, even if the guys to break it don't have the raw talent Steph has shown. And there are just gonna be more and more snipers coming into the league now that he has changed how the game is played and massively influenced the younger generation. Steph's broken barriers and has an amazing record, but I bet it falls within 20-25 years.

    Just did some math on the comparison to Ray Allen's Previous record. Steph Curry right now has attempted 92 percent of the attempts that Ray has done in his career. which makes sense because Curry's 3p% is higher, makes you realize how great that is because Ray was more of a spot up shooter compared to steph moving around half the time on those attempts

    I usually would never watch a Knicks game but we just witnessed HISTORY and I wasn't about to miss it. The dude is the greatest shooter the world has EVER seen. He will go down as the best PG to ever play in the NBA. And I'm not a GS fan by any means. Think about it though this generation is really lucky that we have the GOAT QB of the NFL to watch we have arguably the greatest player ever in Lebron but its really MJ. We have Trout in the MLB whonwill go down as a top 5 player ever. Not to mention ALL the young up and coming talent that's in every single major US sport. We're damn lucky to be alive at such a great fkn time for sports
    Soccer we have Messi and Ronaldo 2 of the all time greats arguably the two best soccer players ever.
    UFC we had Jon Jones ANDERSON Silva GSP Conor McGregor hate him all you want he brought the UFC to where it is now.

They are literally the only reason why my whole family and friends even watch basketball at all lol. Their games are electrifying and it's genuine chemistry and brotherhood like it should be.

    its new there will come a time whereby anybody is gonna try to go for the 3pt. but i believe with tim too, the efficiency will increase as more players will learn it when they are still very young and probably become more proficient in it as they grow older.

    A little unfair to Ray Allen because he wasn't even allowed to shoot that many. He would've got benched if he shot more than 4 tbh. Steph is a legend but he's also lucky to have a coach like Steve Kerr. That is what allowed him to revolutionize the game. Any other coach would have got in his way

    • @charlesandrecuadra8569
      @charlesandrecuadra8569 3 года назад +1

      No it wasn't. In curry's college days, he was already jacking threes like a monster. When he entered the league in 2009 it was still a mid range/low post game until 2013-2014. He changed the game because of his accuracy on the three. And please also remember that when mark jackson coached the warriors it was still more on slashing together with ellis. Curry did revolutionize the game with his style of play. No one will ever attempt a three of a dribble. Allen was blessed with playmakers and postup playmakers that's why he only tried for a catch and shoot and he was already attempting a lot in his era, so is curry but the difference is curry changed it even it was still on the mid range/post up period.
      Either way, both of them are truly legends in the 3point game.

    • @gilbertmateo3409
      @gilbertmateo3409 3 года назад +1

      maybe unfair but, perhaps if Ray Allen was as streak shooter (higher % in doing so) like Steph does, i believe he would not be given a shooting cap.

    • @charlesandrecuadra8569
      @charlesandrecuadra8569 3 года назад

      @@gilbertmateo3409 I don't think you saw the stat. But when ray made the record for the most three in a season. It was still a league where people love to slash to the basket and a bunch of lowpost players in the game. When curry broke allen's record in the 3pt made in a season, it was in 2013 when the 3pt era is still in it's toddler stage. Remember 2013 was still, spurs, miami, lakers where three was not as popular as it was on 2014-2015 season.
      They had an almost identical era when they each broke the 3pt record in a season. And that was 250+made threes.
      But it safe to say that curry's playstyle in shooting threes revolutionize the game. Allen needed playmakers on most of his 3pt shots but curry can make it even with defenders on and off the dribble and with high percentage. That's how you revolutionize the game
      If curry was only a catch and shoot 3pt player he would never change the era of basketball.
