  • In today's video I discuss Kris Knoblauch's recent lineup decisions, what the #oilers lines will look like heading into game 5 back in Florida, and also discuss the possibility of Evander Kane having played his final game as an Edmonton Oiler. As we all know, Evander Kane has battled injuries throughout the season and the playoffs. He has not played since Game 2 of the Cup Final and has not taken part in practice sessions on the ice with the team. It is possible Evander Kane's time in Edmonton is coming to an end. Let me know your thoughts about game 5's lineup in the comment section below, and also let me know your thoughts on Evander Kane as well! Let's Go Oilers! 🧡💙 🧡💙 #nhl #panthers

    He did play good in The L.A. Kings series he got the Gordy Howe hat trick he will play next year with maybe surgery he still has at one year left on contract with no trade clause I mean go easy on the guy he tried nobody was complaining last playoffs he was scoring machine he has did well with oilers seems to have his life back I think oilers get what they pay him maybe this will just make him retire who knows but they all got bonuses in their contracts the closer they got to cup final and say oilers pull it off he will be a part of that so many people have been really bad with kane but he turned into a better player and person since joining oilers some little stuff on bench but other then that just playing hockey and looking after his wife and kids he looks happy in Edmonton so give the guy a break

    Its very possible him and many more are going to play their final game when the series ends (Game 7). I think the Oilers will go into full attack mode this off season to win next year. They probably sign Pesce or Skjei. Its kinda the last few years of true top tier cup contention. I think Draisital signs in 2025 and McDavid in 2026 but that still probably an extra 10 million on their already tight cap. Along with Hyman RNH Skinner all signing probably a combined 10-15 million extra dollars when they need contracts. Kane is kinda in a weird spot for them.

      Too many variables. What happens if they lose the cup next game and Drai or McDavid have a meltdown and ask to be traded? Even if they want to stay, are they going to take a pay cut so the Oilers can get more depth? Frankly I think they will have to at least get rid of one of them, and use the money more wisely, like try to get an elite goaltender/depth/defense.

    Trading Kane, Campbell, Ceci, and Kulak will save the oilers about 16 mil next year. Doesnt matter if it takes every remaining pick this year as sweetners

      Idk about kulak he has been pretty good this year a very good skater as a third pairing I think the rest are no brainers but a d core of bouch ek nurse broberg kulak and whoever else isn’t bad then having the rest of the money to be able to spend on a very good second line winger and a goalie is ideal

    • @michaelkeller5927
      @michaelkeller5927 8 дней назад +1

      @@JacksonSheppard-mq9gg the only reason i include Kulak is because we still need a 2nd pair RD, and Broburg would pair with Vinny. I dont think keeping Kulak as a 2.75 mil 7th defenceman is feasible

      Wouldn’t mind seeing Carrick on the 4th line again. Ryan is not as physical and not nearly as effective in faceoffs, which is now a more critical issue.
      Kane is a proud guy but he’s been ineffective all season. Last year’s injuries (cut wrist, broken ribs)have lingered and the latest hernia hasn’t helped. I hope he can get back to being a top 6 player next season.

    Need to take Perry off for Gagne or Carrick, then take Nurse off for Desharnais then you'll have a better chance. I can see they listened to me when they brought Nuge down a line. I was thinking of moving up McLeod instead but to each their own. I would've put Pickard in for a game. But besides that, the lines looks good now, I can cheer for them now.

    I think the Oilers organization should let him stay for another season , we all knew that he plays hard for the Oilers organization . Even though he signed for 5.5 millions , he had a bad time since his wrist was injured . After the injured we all new he had a hard time to score more goals for the team but he still playing hard for the team . Maybe we want to see who will not play in the Oilers for the next season are Nurse, Campbell and Desharnias .

    I was big on broberg, holloway, and janmark all season, wanted them to dress the kids a bit more , but I never called Brown being like this. I never saw anything from Brown before though, maybe he had some past performances on other teams that would have foreshadowed this. Either way, I think it's clear that Kane isn't super necessary to this forward group, I hope they move to keep Henrique and find a replacement for Ceci instead,
