I would imagine that having the bolts half way backed out would weaken them and they are likely to either break or come out. All of the weight of the vehicle is on those bolts and those bolts are hanging by a thread.
hopefully you didn't sell this truck cause all the GMT 800 will be going up in value its no more true V8 trucks and cars are being made any longer. I bought my 2002 AWD 6.0 escalade back in march and love this truck. I'm building this truck up to be a more sport/street cruiser. and the sound this truck makes when getting the pipe setup is done right ITS A BEAST of a sounding engine. This model saved the Cadillac brand back then. You can research it. 2002 - 2006 was Cadillac's comeback year. #modernclassic #trueV8
@@badass1g even if you have plenary of suspension travel it will still happen because the tension on the torsion bar is less in turn it bounces it’s kind of like having bad shocks
If lowered the right way it should ride like stock…..22’s and low profile tires on a heavy truck are why it rides like dog shit….I sold my Flex for that reason it had 20’s, it handled great but you felt every bump.
Pull the roof rack off, it makes it look lower and longer by shrinking the down the profile view.... just another fast and free mod to make, that'll subtlety give a more customized look

I don’t think they will come all the way out but you can lower them to the very bottom. It will go lower then I did it here for sure! Just go all the way down til it stops.

Thanks for the reply. Usually in any other case I would. But with the Escalade even when it’s all the way down I still have room to crawl under it. So if the jack gave way and I was under it, nothing would happen. I always use them on cars, I had a friend that had a car fall on him and he was in a coma. I’m very careful in situations that could impact me, this situation was not one of those. Same with any trucks. I don’t go under the tire area.
See this video, notice I use stands, because if the vette fell down, I’d be toast. With suv and truck nothing would happen ruclips.net/video/_ZBKBnnV_P0/видео.html
Thanks for the info. Mine had a lil lean to the drivers side but had my mechanic readjust the bolts and now it's sitting even. Thanks once again!
You’re welcome man, glad I could help!
Mine was unbalanced one was all the way in and the other out. I fixed them and got an alignment. It’s riding a lot better now.
Your video helped me a lot bro, I just wanted to lift up my Tahoe like 2 inches. Thanks
Welcome bud
For the back you can use passive shocks with relocated shackles no need for special shocks unless you slam it.
Damn. Sharp truck man!
Awesome video, got a 2 Door Tahoe that sits high in the front also. Fixing it now. !!!!
You can buy the keys doing that makes truck ride like a boat will rock side to side
Thanks for a great tip and sharing, god bless!!!!
Thanks for this... I hate how low the front end sits on my 07 yukon like if I wanted to plow snow I would've just gotten a slow plow installed 😂
Did it work for your 07 Yukon? I have the same year but it’s night time I haven’t went out to look
So if you tightin the bolt would it life the front?
I would imagine that having the bolts half way backed out would weaken them and they are likely to either break or come out. All of the weight of the vehicle is on those bolts and those bolts are hanging by a thread.
Not true sir.

what if i take the screws out all the way and leave it- serious question 😂
Not a good idea might mess something up
This has to be one of the most dangerous how to videos ever. Let’s just take the torsion bolts out 3/4 of the way. What? willllld
Lmao you’re literally the only person that’s ever said that. Millions of people do it without problem.
Hanks for the help
If I would want a 2 inch drop in the rear do I have to switch my air socks to shock links ?
Yes
I tried slamming my Tahoe and loosen them all the way to the point that they came out and it didn’t go all the way down
And now if you drive down a bumpy road your front end will bounce believe me old school mini trucker who did this to static drop my mini
I never had that happen. It’s not like it’s slammed to the ground I still had plenty of suspension travel.
@@badass1g even if you have plenary of suspension travel it will still happen because the tension on the torsion bar is less in turn it bounces it’s kind of like having bad shocks
How does it ride after lowering it?
Rides just fine. Bigger bumps are more noticeable the lower you go as there is less travel to the bottom of the strut.
Don't lower em.my 04 denali is slammed on 22s with belltech lowering struts rides like dog shit moog everything up front I'm raising it back up

where did you get those rims from?
Thanks but you're crazy getting under a car with no jack stands
Because somehow the TRUCK can fall to the ground and crush me? Lol it’s called ground clearance. If it was a *car* clearly Id use jack stands.
Does a 2005 trailblazer have these to lower the same way?
Is the same for 07 Escalade?
So if u tightin the bolt would It lift it?
Correct
Can I do the same with 2007 Escalade esv?
Wondering aswell
Whats the name of ur rims, i got he same 22s but need to order center caps
Lowered struts you say? Hmmnok.
That mess your alignment haha
Alignment is cheap if you’re worried about it
Will this damage the 4wd system?
I wanna know that too I wouldn’t think it would since it’s just messing with the suspension
No it will not
@@badass1g thank you. If I lift it up just a little bit will I still have to get an alignment?
Can I drive every day with those bolts loseen like that ?
Yes
Will this affect the air ride? The little sensor arms?
Pretty sure the sensor is only in the rear. I haven’t had any problems with air ride when lowering the front only.
Whoop whoop!:)
How do you lift the back
How those ir ride ?
Would this trick work on my 2008 Yukon slt??
Yes sir
Will it work on 2008 Escalade ?
How do u lift the back?
Isn't there something else that has to be done for the denalis and escalades with awd to level or lift them??
Nope. They’re all built on the same suspension and frame
Pull the roof rack off, it makes it look lower and longer by shrinking the down the profile view.... just another fast and free mod to make, that'll subtlety give a more customized look
Whats the best way and cheapest to lower the rear?
Best and cheapest never go hand in hand buddy
@badass1g I know, I should it said the best way to do it.
The lowest you can go is 2 3 inches
Can you lower it 6 inches? When you say slammed do you mean on the ground?
Probably an inch or two lower then i put it in this video. Not 6 inches.
Whats the stock height on those adjustments bolts?
I don’t know buddy sorry I sold it years ago
What year escalade?
How can I drop the back ?? Somebody help
He explained it in the video... Must replace springs and struts , more than likely a kit that includes everything you need
Cut the springs I did it
@@xaviermuniz9808 how much did you cut ? And how did it feel the ride

Hell yeah thx
@@perrythomas1791how was it
Does it affect camber?
It definitely can when doing this to lift but nothing too catastrophic.
Same menus for 2008 models?
If you see the torsion bars under it then it will work on any truck or suv. Lots of them have this type of setup. Durango’s etc etc
@@badass1g ok would you need an alignment after? And do you have Rear air ride?
Can you make a video on how low you can do the front
is it safe?
Yes
