yeah but i feel like usually Persona music isn't slightly dark for the sake of being dark, I think it's dark for the sake of being realistic. To me, Persona seems to be one of those franchises that is really pushing to slap some sense into us and make us really LOOK at the world instead of just live in it.

Still trying to make sense of the lyrics after 3 years. i just gave up and took them literally. so i'm just gonna assume this is about someone (presumably Minako/FemMC) and how pure and naive they view the world.
It's one of the best gimmicks about P3P. Both protags are different people, and even if they go through the same broad story, they still give different vibes.
I love both Makoto and Kotone. They have their differences but, qualities that are very likeable. But, yes Kotone doesn't deserve the hate she gets. She may not be Makoto but, same time she has her own charm to her. I know some people think the pink theme and her personality clash with the games them when really, they balance each other out. But, that's my opinion and anyone disagrees well, cool cool. Everyone is different.

Basically, she acts cheerfully as a defense mechanism, much in the same way the original protagonist acted coldly to hide his fear of death. It's different ways of handling the same problem. Plus the Female protagonist was expanded further in Persona Q2 where they show that she's actually only cheerful when she has friends with her, the moment she finds herself trapped alone in a different dimension with people who look like her friends but are not, she starts to lose her cool and her cheerful side breaks.
I like very much this theme and also Your affection and the other map theme for P4. And I'm recently P3 portable with the female mc, and ressembles alot P4 golden, allowing to social link with all party members and more new characters, that didn't existed in Fes version. I don't know if allows lesbian social link romances :P, I didn't reach that point yet.

Takayuki Fujinaga The devs commented about this cause people were begging them to for P5, basically they said the story of P5 is one with a male lead focus that couldn’t be duplicated by a girl. For example the whole shido thing at the beginning wouldn’t work for a female character so they’d have to write a completely different plot line for a girl in that instance. Also social links and many interactions would be very different. So Basically they’d have to change up a lot of the games scenarios so that a female lead makes sense and doing that would take a lot of extra work so it makes sense that they didn’t want to do all that. FEMC only exists as a bonus for P3P, at that point they already had the male MC story completely done pretty much so they had spare development resources to make a few changes to make a female route, not the case with P5. And with P4G I’m pretty sure they just said that the story in that game would not make any sense with a female lead, I can’t remember the exact reason why but you can easily look that up.
