I have to say i finally got my 22 LC fixed for sound. Even after putting in a new rear center sub the verbiration was still present making the bass muddy. I threw a tantrum at a new dealer and THANKFULLY this guy got it! Turns out they replaced the center sub interior cover. So that rear center piece from top to bottom was faulty creating the buzzing. Its now fixed. Took 3 dealers, a new sub and 5 attempts to fix. Love your sound btw. I was thinking of a Tomms system.Or is it Tom? aye...
Yeah I heard the rear sub was an issue with many LC verts, not so much with the coupes. As for the Tom's, I think the Armytrix sounds better - I heard both in front of me....I might be bias, but that's my opinion....sound is very subjective tho...
It does! I'd probably say 30% of the time I downshift. Moreover, you have to get to know at which point in the rpm range (when the revs start decreasing) you have a higher probability of a pop...I tend to think it happens somewhere around the 3k - 4k range....🤔
Man thank you for this. I have mine straight piped, but about to start daily driving and needed to hear these with the valves closed. Does the system allow you to start it with valves closed?
Hi Rich, When you got your Armytrix exhaust does it have a dongle that you put on the obdII port or just wiring to the vacuum valve? I want to get an Armytrix exhaust, but I am not a fan of connecting it to my OBD II port under the dash and leaving it there. I would however consider buying this exhaust if it did not need the OBDII port for the install. I was under the impression that the earlier versions of the Armytrix did not connect to the OBD-II port. Did yours come with the OBDII dongle and if it did, can it be re-wired to work some other way?
Mine did come with the OB-II dongle. I'm not sure if you can connect it any other way in order for the valve function to operate. I'd say that the dongle is great, since it's supposed to offer other data points, but their app on Android sucks. So just make sure to keep that in mind if you do have an Android. Not sure how well it works with Apple.
Thanks Rich. I guess I will have to still think about this one. I don't like things staying on the OBD II port for fear of it messing something up while its connected. The OBD ports were not made for something to remain connected so if its only using the OBD port for an easy way to get power to it, I might be able to hard-wire it someplace else, but if its sending data on one of the pins then I may not be able to use this exhaust. It is one of the best sounding exhausts that I have found. My next choice would be the Meisterschaft exhaust, but so far they only have it for the other 2UR-GSE cars (i.e. GSF, IS500...) Hopefully they will come out with one for the LC. No hurry yet. Thanks again.@@RichWithCars
😂 its crazy how loud this is with just a catback my charger is a louder but i had to get catless mid pipes with my corsa it just wasn’t loud enough idk too much about lexus but is this the same 5.0 from ford they sound almost identical?
Yeah pretty crazy. Love this Armytrix catback - really unleashes the sound and mainly retains the same sound profile of the OEM exhaust. The engine is originally from Toyota, has a long history - but the general engine - 2UR-GSE was first introduced on the IS-F in 2008
I didn't feel any of the symptoms of losing back pressure. In fact my MPG is hovering at around 18mpg (not bad). It is a cat delete, but retains resonator

2:12 Wow nice hood! I might look out of place with my LC in my neighborhood. Im middle to upper class (clinging scratching to upper middle) haha so my car is a tad out of place but i got my car for me. No one else. I live around WRX's and type R's Gts, Scatpacks... and I've smoked em all. Even a a last gen Z06 who thought he was hot stuff. Ok i didn't roast him but i hung on neck and neck making him panick cause he just got smacked down by a LEXUS!!!!! HAhahahaaaaaaahh. Seriously tho i track and ride sport bikes and the local cops have tried and failed to catch me on 5 separate attempts w/ the last one tossing 8 cops at me. Now all he does is wave me down w/ the "slow down" wave. They refuse to chase me now. 😑🙄
And i have to say i did run from a local cop in the LC because i just didn't want the ticket for having a bit of fun. The car performed magnificent. It was no problem. I knew i had little to no traffic to obstruct my route. And i have exit paths planned out all over the place.
Thanks - my LC falls in line with some others in my hood. I have an M8, F8 Tributo, GT3 RS, another LC IS,a couple of C8's, couple of Californias, a Portofino, a Roma, several current gen S Classes, a couple of G Wagons....you get the idea. My LC probably falls on the lower end of the group! 🤣🤣🤣 just be careful!
Could you feel any diff in performance w/ the new system? I know you didn't dyno it. What was your butt feel? Personally id love a bit of a boost considering your spending money on a cat back. Honestly the sound is amazing stock. So if I'm upgrading i want something other than sound being paid for. Looks i can just do tips for a lot less. On a bike i can expect 10-20hp bump by doing a full system. The Porsche 911 "sports exhaust" don't do a damn thing for performance. Your paying an ass and a leg for a look only. Id rather not do that.
Claimed power increase is about 15 hp and about 5 lb-ft. Even if it was the case, the car is too heavy to feel a noticeable difference for that little gain. My "butt" dyno doesn't feel much, except for slight difference on the top end....if it's performance you're looking for, I wouldn't recommend it, since it won't be noticeable.
I don’t get it…. There are so many exhausts for this car already but they all claim to sound the best while they all sound the same, just louder than stock if anything .
Sounds insane!! Valves closed and open. Armytrix did good!
Yes they did, yes they did!👍
New dream car acquired

WOW! Great job on the LC.... she's a BEAUTY & I love the sound of the Armytrix exhaust!
Thanks 👍 Still love the sound out of the exhaust every time I start her up!
Sounds amazing, very unique. Thanks much for uploading this beautiful sound

That was very good breakdown to go back and forth in the same clip . Very good for those of us who have the car and are wondering
Tried to do my best in providing some good insight and an idea to those who are considering an aftermarket exhaust.

Thanks for watching!
One of the best cars ever made. Would take this over any german competitor.
Yup!
The downshift sounds so sick.... I may have to see if they make this exhaust for my IS500...
I wouldn't be surprised if Armytrix does make it for the IS500. They already have one for the RC F
Nice!🔥
Thanks 🔥
That sounds unreal
🙏👍
5:14 I didn’t know that the LC can make pops lol how often does that happen when you downshift?
It does! I'd probably say 30% of the time I downshift. Moreover, you have to get to know at which point in the rpm range (when the revs start decreasing) you have a higher probability of a pop...I tend to think it happens somewhere around the 3k - 4k range....🤔
does the Armytrix exhaust still use the electrical plug in clips from factory?
Yes
🔥🔥🔥

Man thank you for this. I have mine straight piped, but about to start daily driving and needed to hear these with the valves closed. Does the system allow you to start it with valves closed?
I don't think it does, but never really attempted that. I know the valves automatically close about 30 - 35 secs after cold start....
@@RichWithCars ah. Ok. I need to find one that I can control before the car has started then. Thank you sir!

Sounds brutal🔥. I’m considering between fi and armytrix, had you heard fi in person? What do you think about it comparing to armytrix.
I wish I could tell you, but I never heard the Fi Exhaust. So unfortunately, I cannot tell you how each sounds in person - only the Armytrix.
