Flying on the World's Only Passenger Hovercraft from Southsea to Ryde! - It's Awesome!

Join me for another adventure, This time we travel on the only passenger Hovercraft still operating in the world! Southsea, Portsmouth to Ryde in the Isle of Wight and takes 10 minutes compared to the car ferry that takes approximately 1 hour! With the quick travel time does come a premium cost, £78 we paid for a return for 2 Adults & up to 3 children.
We headed over to the awesome Ryde, Explored the area, Had some lunch, went in the sea, played some arcades and crazy gold before sitting down with a nice cold beer before heading home. Really enjoyed our time here.

hi Slothy Vlogs awsome video ihave been on a hovercraft to the isle of wright a few times even stayed on the isle of wright on holliday once the hovercrafts were a bit diffrent and thay had names the one i went on was called Feedom 90 the other one was called double "O" seven the second time i went to the isle of wright i went on a seacat

UK is so Beautiful ! This area reminds me of New England here in America. We use to live in New England 30 years ago. COLD weather up there, but Beutiful up there. When I was a little kid, we had Toy Hovercrafts like those. I never knew they really existed till seeing this. Really Beautiful there. ENJOYED watching this one. 😊

Hi dave i realised when i left comment about st Giles fair you said in last vlog you were going so lesson learnt watch the vlog then comment 😂 i first went on that hover craft when i was ten that was 40 years ago and it looks the same today as it did back then it brought back good memories for me 👍👍👊✌️

If you’d walked a little further along the Seafront you would have come across a little Cafe/Burger Bar called The Big Kahuna owned by Wayne Whittle who is a showman who owned a Rock ‘O’ Plane, I used to work for him back in the 80’s/90’s he swapped his Ride for Ryde, really nice guy some of his family still travel…

Also the Island Line trains have always been ex London underground rolling stock, these are former District line trains. Only a few years ago they were using trains from the late 1930s!
My mum and dad have done this a few times , they say it's really good !I I've never seen it inside ! That's so cool !! Many happy memories at the Isle of White, I'm 32 and I've still not been on the chair lifts 😂😂😂

Great video, I'm glad I'm not the only one obsessed with the hovercraft, i love it, loved it since i was a little boy, and at 33, still love it now, didn't know they had a little funfair with crazy golf, in the seafront opposite the hovercraft they have old gift shops and a little amusement arcade which is pretty cool. Great shots and great video too. 😀 👍

Incredible footage mate, such a fantastic experience vlog. I remember Southport had one years back and I think New Brighton and Rhyl had them for a short time years ago. Great to see one has become commercially viable. Amazing machines.
