This foundation has been a revelation for me with my oily skin! I have PCOS and it’s the bane of my life. I love the thinner more liquidy formula which is amazing to apply and blend out, and doesn’t seem to get soaked up by a brush or a sponge. It feels so light on my face and I’ve had compliments on how good my makeup looks and how natural is seems. At the same time, it lasts! I barely have to powder throughout the day and I am a serial powderer. 10/10, super happy to see you review it and love it too!
This was a surprise for me too, just happened to see it at my local Walmart recently and never heard of it but was intrigued. Can’t believe more channels aren’t reviewing this amazing foundation! I have dryer textured mature skin and it just performs as well or better than 95% of foundation I’ve tried in the last 5 years. Just a wonderful foundation. The word needs to get out more. So glad to see this review here, thank you!
Thanks for reviewing this. Maybelline Australia discontinued the last 2 versions of their super stay foundations (loved both) and I was worried this new version wouldn't be able to keep up with the finish and longevity of the previous version (super stay active wear). This gives me hope and now I can stop stocking up on the discontinued one!
Thank you. Thank you. I asked a few influencers how the *test* makeup and you are the ONLY one that complied. Thank you. I will forever follow and recommend your channel. ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much for this review! I’m extremely oily in the summertime, nothing lasts on me more than a couple of hours without powder, but I do like a not too flat finish… so this peaks my interest :)
My skin is normal (but aged) - live in Brisbeyland where there is more water than air and more sweat than skin. I think I might need to try this for work.
It is a very similar finish, but I actually prefer this one! I find Luminous Silk has such low coverage that I need to use like 4-5 pumps to get a medium coverage, and it feels very wasteful, especially for the price.
I’ve tried this foundation and enjoyed it but my favourite drugstore foundation is the Essence 16 hours wear foundation. It’s beautiful on dry skin and lasts all day. Another bonus is its price (less than £4 in UK). Love your eye look.😎
Essence seemed to be pulling out of the Australian market in the past few years so it was hard to try anything. But this week I saw that they have added in new big stands into Priceline, so it will be easier to access again!
Kat, I haven’t seen the new Maybelline Lumi/Matte foundation in Canada yet but I am guessing it will arrive sometime in early 2025 as I’ve noticed that Shoppers Drug Mart (a big drugstore chain all across Canada) is clearing out the Maybelline 30 hour Superstay foundation in all the shades and selling them at half price. At this time of the year I noticed that the major drug store brands like Revlon, Maybelline, L’Oreal, and Covergirl are clearing out what looks to be discontinued cosmetics before they bring in new cosmetics in the new year. Canada usually gets new drugstore makeup in stores after the U.S. does. Thanks for the review on the new Maybelline foundation!
Initial information points to it being and Australasian release...though given it has a different numbering system there vs. us, it may come to you. I have the three lightest shades 090? 096 something like that, it doesn't correspond to any of our Maybelline numbers.
@taranullius9221 Amazon here just started and only local products are available. If I want to purchase from the American/UK/Australian one the surcharges completely jack the price wayyyy up
“It was hard to color match in store with no testers” Ah yes, the classic American drugstore shopping experience 😅 we never have any testers in drugstores 😭
Yep do. Just swatched 096 for you. It leans quite cool to me. It's very similar to True Match 0.5R/C, maybe a little bit darker. Of the Fit Me range, 112 is closest undertone (102 is too light to compare), but 112 is definitely deeper. Closest depth range in Fit Me is 105 (again, 096 slightly darker maybe). There's quite a shade jump down to 090. That's quite light and yellow/peachy.
If I think back to when I was your age, I seriously cannot remember any foundation I liked with my oily skin. 😅 6+ hours everyday, I re-washed my face and reapplied whatever, usually Clinique City Block + powder. That was 90s Era of Matte, and how crazy, I can't remember any decent matte foundation the whole time. I could never look as matte as the 90s aesthetic went. Powder foundation was the miracle of the early 2000s for sure, but later at 52 it finally made me look too old. The best techniques now are things I learned from your channel, like pouncing on foundation with damp sponge. 🫡🌟
As something that is claiming long wear, i'd be interested in a similar formula without it being maybelline. I try for Cruelty free myself. Vegan does NOT matter. xD Thank you for your review!
Yes they are since Coty bought them. You may not like the reformulation though. Seen a lot of complaints. I wouldn't know re: wear time, though I own the 3 lightest bottles of the new, they're all like, 3 shades deeper and brorange. There's that Covergirl formula creeping in (Check their "Clean" ranges. Same ingredients, same packaging mostly too). It's like, Outlast brorange.
Yeah it can seem a bit confusing. I would say its a demi matte hydrating formula. When I usually think of a lumi matte, I picture a shimmery nail polish with a matte top coat over it, so it dosn't have to be a contradiction, but it is an odd description :)
How does this compare to estee lauder double wear and too faced matte (the OG formula.....that was my holy grail im forever on the hunt for a replacement)
I never used the TF OG matte formula so I can't comment on that. I personally hate EL double wear, it is very heavy and feels suffocating, it also breaks me out... so this is 100x better in my opinion haha

I'm so glad you love it too! It is pretty much exactly what I want in a daily foundation! I hope they never discontinue it haha
Have you ever tried the ordinary niacinamide and zinc serum? That was a game changer for me when my skin was super oily. Highly recommend
This was a surprise for me too, just happened to see it at my local Walmart recently and never heard of it but was intrigued.

Wow the wear time! Looks beautiful on you
My skin is normal (but aged) - live in Brisbeyland where there is more water than air and more sweat than skin. I think I might need to try this for work.
Forme, I felt like it was a dupe for Armani Luminous Silk. Thank you for all the details in your video! It was marvelous!
It is a very similar finish, but I actually prefer this one! I find Luminous Silk has such low coverage that I need to use like 4-5 pumps to get a medium coverage, and it feels very wasteful, especially for the price.
@@KitschSnitch I will give it a try. Thank you again!
The Rimmel Lasting Finish is my fav but this also sounds interesting.

Ooohhh, I'm interested 😮. I hope it hits Target, Walmart, or Ulta soon 👍🏾🙂
I rarely trust any influencers these days. You're one I do trust!! I'll have to look into this after I've used up the ones I have.

Just FYI to any Australians, it's half price at Priceline atm and they have all 20 shades on their website. I'm keen to try.
Time to add to cart... (fellow combo skin girly in her late 30s). Thanks for the review Kat!
Sounds amazing now i only have to wait 12 to 18 months for it to come to South Africa
Amazon? YesStyle has it but they're charging over $AU60 lol.

At least you can return it if you don't like it haha
Omg I just checked, it seems like in Germany theres only 13 of those shades available (online!) 😮
This on the Maybelline us website, but I can't find it anywhere that has it available. Hopefully that means we will get it soon :)
This sounded so great but I bought the lightest cool shade and it was so dark. I might take a chance and try the lightest neutral. ❤❤❤

Hi Kat, this looks great on you! How does it compare to the Huda Easy Blur foundation? The formulas seem quite similar.
Good question, I think this one wears better, and looks a bit more like natural skin. The Huda one is lovely for blurring.
A good comprehensive coverage of the make-up... I'm going to have to try it!! Did you say it had a good colour range?
Pretty average at the moment. 20 shades in Aus and 24 in the US
As something that is claiming long wear, i'd be interested in a similar formula without it being maybelline. I try for Cruelty free myself. Vegan does NOT matter. xD
Thank you for your review!
Is Rimmel cruelty free? I love their Lasting Finish foundation. It’s light feeling and lasts all day on my oily skin in the humid Queensland summer.
I believe Rimmel are cruelty free :)

People are like "I found my shade eventually" but really fair people? You've just lost a foundation.
I’m just watching shocked at how maybelline foundations cost 34 bucks there and we complain about it being 1800 here.
Factor in currency conversion, taxes, and it's pretty even :)
just in time for a half off sale in my area. i'm taking this as a sign
I don’t think we even have this in the US yet 😳
I’m just confused on lumi/matte
Yeah it can seem a bit confusing. I would say its a demi matte hydrating formula. When I usually think of a lumi matte, I picture a shimmery nail polish with a matte top coat over it, so it dosn't have to be a contradiction, but it is an odd description :)
To me it means not completely matte not dewy, more an in between satin matte kinda finish.
