Even during the American Revolution, Britain's only allies were from the German states. A Central Powers victory would also have ensured the events of the second world war never came to pass, Germany today would still control all of its historical territory, and still retain its monarchy. Britain's standing in the world would also be vastly superior to what it is today. It was a catastrophic blunder for the British Empire to side with France.

Well, technically, he wasn't against it, he simply saw the danger it put his Empire in, later on in the war though as it was obvious a German Victory was likely to emerge, he got cocky and really wanted the war, he wanted back at his relatives for his bullying in his early age(due to his mangled arm) and wanted to show that Russia, and England, led by said relatives, Empires were less powerful than his, after all Germany had far less colonial grounds, which he was quite jealous of, and in the end when the US joined the war ultimately dooming the Germans to their defeat i dont believe he realized yet how bad the war had been.

Well, technically, he wasn't against it, he simply saw the danger it put his Empire in, later on in the war though as it was obvious a German Victory was likely to emerge, he got cocky and really wanted the war, he wanted back at his relatives for his bullying in his early age(due to his mangled arm) and wanted to show that Russia, and England, led by said relatives, Empires were less powerful than his, after all Germany had far less colonial grounds, which he was quite jealous of, and in the end when the US joined the war ultimately dooming the Germans to their defeat i dont believe he realized yet how bad the war had been.
