If anyone is confused, the plant name translated as "potentilla" is actually "purslane". Where I live, the native species grows much flatter, but I found a seed catalog that sells a type similar to the one in this video.
Purslane grows every summer in my garden. I never have to plant it. Ours grows up to 24 inches tall, depending on how much water it gets. I suspect the original owners of our home from 65 years ago, a Japanese family, may have grown it as a crop.

i cook exactly like these, simply with stir fry chopped garlic and dried anchovies, chicken essence powder, salt or light soya sauce with veges, simply delicious.

She remembers SO MANY RECIPEES. I wonder how far back her memory goes? To Grandma, great grandma? How many generations did this type gardening, harvesting & cooking? How old was she when she started? Did she learn it all from family or by any chance, a cooking school or books? Does anyone know? Her LIFE STORY would interest me greatly, but it would have to be in English, maybe Lithuanian {haha, Lithuanian is similar to Sanscrit, I know it but not as well as English}..............So Grandson, how about it? Or Granddaughter? And I keep asking, no one answers, HOW OLD IS GRANDMA?
She has got great grand children now, so it is four generation in her family. I guess she is in her late seventies or early eighties. Peope in China generally learn this kind of knowledge and skills from family elders, or village elders.

拨种的六七十年前我小時候是找回家餵養火雞的台灣!
台灣小吃店快炒店还蠻貴的好吃另一种是黑色种子的味道很美很好吃😋
這是昭和菜也是我們口中的山茼蒿,徑與葉都可吃而且非常好吃。
老奶奶常吃這個身體健康的。

中间的我们南宁叫它白花菜,我们也是拿来一起炒鸡蛋打汤,有点苦,老人说苦味凉的好。

我家院子裡有馬齒莧,炒蛋、做粥都很好吃。
這三種野菜,我都吃過:馬齒莧-吃了降血糖。野茼蒿口味不錯,龍葵性涼,多吃會瀉肚子,炒時加上薑絲,和蔴油美味可口!唯有龍葵素,不可多食!

那个其实就是绿叶苋菜。只不过是野生的。其实它的头长大了煮汤才好。里面煮熟了像果冻一样,滑溜溜的,一吸就出来了。
