  • ADHD is something that you can manage extremely effectively through deep daily mental training. Even though it's termed a "disorder," there's nothing "wrong" with you if you struggle with it. You can magnify the upsides and diminish the impact of the challenges just by approaching your mental training with consistency and diligence.
    In this session we'll deep breathe to settle in, release the restless sensations characteristic of ADHD, then do a body scan and expand that awareness of our surroundings, finding a calm and stable focus and flow.
    Daily mental training for ADHD, when combined with good sleep, nutrition and exercise habits, will have you feeling empowered, focused on your strengths and confidently managing the challenges. Take on the 2-week challenge if you like this session!

    Thank you for this. Prior to being diagnosed I used meditation to maintain mental focus and control emotional disregulation. After, having a child and experiencing narcissist financial entrapment and emotional abuse I developed a dissociative personality for survival. After escaping and I started healing my everything seemed worse. Then I was diagnosed with ADHD predominantly ADD at 44 years old. Looking at my life through a new lens revealed my masking techniques, including self medicating, and has returned me to a desire for meditation practice. Also the self medicating has been gone for a long time. Anyways, this guided meditation is great! Thank you❤️

    The inclusion of "now challenge yourself" is on point! Sitting still for sessions is difficult already, even though we aren't obligated to it's still nice to have the suggestion to make it a challenge for yourself. Thanks for sharing this practice with us.

      Hey Rai! Glad it was helpful. If you want, I have an "emotional explorations" playlist that helps you unpack emotion, and I suggest using the tracks with emotions that you feel are manageable, at a pace you feel ready and safe with. Best of luck. Have a great week! :)

    Can I do it on my bed?

    • @TheMentalLevel
      @TheMentalLevel  Год назад

      Hi Rosie, you can! If the option is available, I suggest doing it sitting upright in a chair to maximize your alertness, but if this isn't possible or you really prefer not to, you can certainly do it on a bed, you just might fall asleep. Thanks for commenting and have a wonderful week! :)

      @@rosiedossie2919 Good stuff Rosie! And I'll add that idea to the list and if I think of a creative way to guide a studying meditation, I will! Thanks. :)

      I did it in my bed under a weighted blanket just now, mainly with my eyes closed until the room bit. Thank you for this and for the 2 week challenge!

    So... Watching this at 2x speed is bad?

    • @TheMentalLevel
      @TheMentalLevel  Год назад +4

      Hahaha... I'm not sure! But it's understandable. Maybe you can work your way down to 1.5, then eventually normal speed :D Have a great week! :)
