    Please do more of these! ADHD people need to meditate and addresses those things that might frustrate us in a different way than non-ADHD people. I've never felt more focused or motivated during my meditation. The only thing that's come close is the CBT-i app (a free app created for American veterans who have ptsd-related sleep troubles)

    The irony here is that I stopped at 5 other videos on the way to clicking on this one.

    Thank you mate.
    I went off of medications a year ago. Started meditation, taking care of my sleep, viewing sunlight in the morning and scheduled my exercise from evening to morning.
    Reduced high dopaminergic activities like gaming, tv shows and porn.
    Feel so much better and have more energy as with stimulants. It’s crazy. And when I fall back into gaming or watching some adult stuff it feels way more intense, almost too intense and I know it’s not good for me because it’s desensitizing me to regular activities.
    I visit this video a few times a month. It’s perfect length

    I just want to add We’re not disordered we are wired different, needing specific tools , like these videos to help us function and unleash our superpowers (not our disorder)

      just built different

    • @RobertEWaters
      @RobertEWaters 2 года назад +15

      It's a disorder, and they're upsides, not superpowers. ADHD shouldn't be stigmatized and it's not the end of the world. It makes us different, but not lesser. But it's not a lucky break, either.

    • @vitulus_
      @vitulus_ 2 года назад +1

      If its not a disorder for you then you don't have ADHD lol. ADHD by definition is a disorder.

      @@vitulus_ yeah. I think she is say that because she doesn't want to be labeled as disordered. she is coming from a good place

      Yeah look the intention is definitely good, but I personally do not identify as having superpowers. I have impairments and barriers that have come close to ruining and ending my life. Everyone's experience is different, and I'm not going to invalidate anyone's experience of enjoying positive aspects of their ADHD, but I have not had that and don't want my overwhelmingly negative experience invalidated either.

  • @unicestwiacznoworodkow7

    I only became sleepy after this and also were very easily distracted by thoughts. Is it possible that after meditating for a couple of weeks i will be getting less and less distracted?

    • @paradieswaerts
      @paradieswaerts Год назад +3

      Yes like every other skill it requires practice. Even if you just manage 10 seconds of an actual meditative state, next time you may manage 30 seconds, then 1 minute, then 2 etc. Sometimes it may not work at all which is okay too.
      Educate yourself on what meditation actually is so that you can explore it and go deeper. All the best!
      Edit: Feeling sleepy is a good thing! It means that your mind and your body relaxed, so don't think that's "wrong" in any way :)

    I loved this but using the word "disorder" to label the amazing beings we are irks me. We came here to change the status quo and the only time I feel disordered is when I, or others, are trying to make me fit in this neuro-beige-disordered cult we call society...the very thing we were born this way to change.
