Studio Masterpiece all time banger - the drum track really revolutionized studio recording afterwards. Maurice Bassline is one of the five best basslines of all time. And the song itself with Barry's icon falsetto was simply the breakthrough for high vocals. The BeeGees were: the tallest and oldest brother (with the big hair and beard), Barry Gibb, born September 1, 1946, the only surviving Gibb brother. Robin Gibb (with the long hair, no beard), born December 22, 1949-passed away May 20, 2012, and Robin's fraternal twin brother Maurice (the balding brother with the beard, pronounced "Morris") Gibb, born December 22, 1949-passed away January 12, 2003. They also had another, younger, brother Andy Gibb, born March 5, 1958-passed away March 10, 1988. The three oldest brothers were born on the Isle of Man (UK). Oldest brother Barry got seriously burned when he accidentally pulled boiling tea over himself at 18 months old. He was in coma for a while, nearly died and was in hospital for many months. Because of this, he did not learn to talk until after the twins were born. Later the family moved to Manchester and from there they emigrated to Australia in 1958, right after Andy was born. All 4 brothers are just natural musical talents. All of them dropped out of high school in their early teens and none of them could read or write music. All their compositions were created completely organically. Their musical career, which they had started as little kids, didn't lead to international success so they moved back to the UK in 1967. Then they had a string of big hits, until they temporarily broke up around 1970 for 15 months. Started back up, looking for a new sound which they first found in 1974 with the transitional album "Mr. Natural". After that "Main Course" was the first album that moved them into a new direction: more rhythm&blues, dance music like with great hits like Nights on Broadway and Jive Talkin' (and was also actually the first album on which their logo was introduced). From 1976 on they went all out with falsetto driven dance music which lead to their biggest commercial success as they provided classic songs for the Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack (1977 Stayin' Alive, How Deep is Your Love, Night Fever amongst them). You should react to the 1979 live version of Stayin' Alive, too ruclips.net/video/7niXSh7vWRI/видео.html Other great songs to analyze: great album tracks from the 1979 Spirits Having Flown album, the title song: ruclips.net/video/WH_j90fCIk4/видео.html, the outrageously beautiful song Reaching Out ruclips.net/video/vfHUS5Mf00Q/видео.html. And from the 1990's the simple song Blue Island live in an accoustic version: ruclips.net/video/162GlAEpfrY/видео.html. Andy was kind of Barry's mini me, about half a foot shorter and 12 years younger but they were the only lefties of the family. However, his voice was nowhere near as broad in range or as strong as Barry's. As producer Alby Galuten said in the book "Tales of the brothers Gibb "Andy's falsetto was nowhere near Barry's." Andy had a lower, huskier, sound to his voice and his range was not as big as Barry's. I personally always thought his voice was much better suited to songs of his first album, Flowing Rivers. Andy died of myocarditis - which is an inflammation of the heart - on March 10, 1988, 5 days after his 30th birthday. His heart had been weakened by his drug addiction over the years which, by the way, was also the main reason for his split from Victoria Principal. He also had a congenital heart problem that was later also discovered in Barry and Barry's second son Ashley. Crazy coincidence. I actually just (re-)watched Saturday Night Fever two nights ago. I’ve been listening to this song a lot recently, but when it came up in the film, t brought some tears. Just beautiful. Not just the music, but the memories of that era, and how disco carried on through the house era of the late 80s/early 90s. When clubs and dancing were a *movement.* Being part of something so pure, with that energy…. I actually felt sorry for people who are young these days, who will just never know what that scene was like. I don’t think they have anything like that.
Wow that's a great story! It would've been an incredible era of music and culture to live through for sure. At 11:43 there's a separate lower backing vocal that's amazing and a bit hard to do. Crazy harmony there. Was hoping to hear it separately from the main vocals but maybe it's on the same track? Really adds to the final harmonies.

Yess great call! Most def need to Donna Summer. Also have Love to Love you Baby, Bad Girls and Hot Stuff! We've got some hits to get through 🙏🏽🔥
(also, her cover of State of Independence cover is my favourite song of all time ahah)
I would love to hear a comparison between Michael Jackson's "Dirty Diana" and The Weeknd's "D.D." Would be interesting to know, if he copied something 1:1 for his cover :)
Now THIS is a great idea! I might even make Dirty Diana the next MJ vid... was gonna do Just Can't Stop Loving You, but this is hard to pass 😮💨
I'll do some digging on the Weeknds version and see if i can get the tracks - you're right that it would be epic to compare them both!
I really appreciate the support too, thank you 🙏🏽❤️
@@sammymccormack_ 🙏🏽😊

Thank you for the love! 2 Bad is an absolute banger - the multitracks are just insane... can definitely make this happen for you 🤝🔥
@@sammymccormack_ hell yeah. I already have the multis but I'd love more people to listen to them and to discover the Incredible production behind that song ❤️
How do you get access to these tracks???
Please do some deconstruction of DUA LIPA!!
Yessss! Been meaning to get into Dua! Saw her a couple years ago at the FN tour... one of the best concerts I've been too! What are some of your favourites? Would love to start there for you 🫶🏻
Hello, I'm new to your channel! I love what you do and the way you analyze the instrumentals and the vocal part. I would really like it if you could do it with the song TOUCH OF MY HAND from Britney's fourth album In The Zone Thank you!!!! Greetings from Argentina
I'm so glad you're loving the videos, thank you for the love! Touch of my hand is a beautiful song, would absolutely love to do this for you. Much love from Australia 🫶🏻❤️
Please please, break down any song you like from the band JUNGLE
My friend Luke did an All of the time remix recently, that's been stuck in my head ever since ahah, maybe we can do that one?! He actually made a youtube video for his remix too, his name's lukemillionmusic if you wanted to check it out ❤️🔥 If you like Jungle I think you'll enjoy it!
@@sammymccormack_ I absolutely love ALL OF THE TIME! 😍 Thank you for recommending me your friend, I'll check his remix NOW! And please, if you have the stems of this song, do a video, I appreciate it. ✨🙌🏻
PLEASE DO Mariah Carey - Underneath the Stars!!! ❤
Would love to do some Mariah for you! These do take a hot minute to film and edit, so won't be tomorrow ahah, but we'll get there, consider it done ❤️🤝

Far out that is a great pick! I'd love to do that one for you - the 70's is unmatched 🔥😮💨
Speaking as a dumbass....how do you get a stereo record, and separate all the instruments? Did you steal the masters?
Can you do Aaliyah or more Britney Spears videos
You have great taste! Done! a new Britney video is coming VERY soon for you 🫶🏻🔥
how did you get this please react
Hi. Your video is great. Where did you find these tracks bro?
What a nice video that is ! :-) The vocaltracks in stereo: but left and right are the same vocals on most parts of the song, with a millisecond in difference, to make the sound thicker. It's called ADT. A trick The Beatles did in Obladi Oblada for example :-) See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automatic_double_tracking
I'm glad you enjoyed the video, thank you for the love 🥰 Oh wow, There you go! Coincidentally, I actually just discovered ADT recently (but do need to study up a bit more, thank you for the link). I didn't realise it was used here, that's awesome to know, and to see applied in multitrack form! Thank you again 🙏🏽
@@sammymccormack_ my pleasure! Thanks for your reply ! 🙂
