My dream in life was to own a nice RV. Due to disability that’s been made impossible. I’m grateful to have great people to watch and show their lives. It’s a happily ever kind of day!
There is one more thing to consider about the alignment, most of your driving is with the trailer connected and the alignment is being done without the weight on the bed of the truck. If tire wear is somewhat of an issue still you would want to mention that so the technician could compensate for the additional weight in setting the alignment. Awesome work on the videos. Safe travels.
It's fun to watch a young couple that is learning the ins and outs of the world, figuring things out and living the road of life. Oh to be young again.
Here in Southern New Hampshire, fall started over the last weekend. Trees started color changes and brought back to us the annual fallen foliage yard clean ups. Wave on your way south. Happy trails kids!!
"It never hurts to ask." My wife Renée has a similar saying that she has taught our children when they were very young. "The answer is always no unless you ask". Now, even if you ask, the answer might be no. But you'll never know unless you ask. I love this and have used this all throughout my business travel career of 35 years. I cannot tell you how many times a simple and respectful ask is answered with a yes. Safe travels Hanks. My wife and I are probably a year out from going full-time!
Always good to see people visiting Maine, nice place to live for 3/4 the year. Winters here are no fun usually but otherwise decent weather and plenty of places to explore.
Glad you guys are enjoying New England. We were born and raised there, but military life moved us away. We are retired now and have been full timers for over 2 years. We have learned so much watching your videos before we purchased our 2022 Solitude. Thanks for all the great info and tips you guys provide! You have no idea how much you have helped us make this a reality. Safe travels!
I live in bangor maine, and i've been here for almost ten years.I'm originally from california. This coming 2025, my 2, some of my grown children, and I are going to take it to the road and go RV living. Your videos are really helped. With some of the anxiety, i'm having, and I hope to see u on the road
You two are making our next biggest trip!!! We had this basic trip planned TWICE…the first time we hit bad roads in Indiana, threw our camper off the edge of the highway, bent the frame, and totaled our sweet “Not Murphy”. Couldn’t continue. Bought a new Reflection 337 RLS. Next time…husband had surgery for torn meniscus in early May…we were set to leave May 31…but on May 23 I jumped off a falling ladder and sprained my ankle and broke my heel. Ding dangit! Entire spring, summer, and fall of 2024 CANCELLED 😞! BUT….next September…we’re doing it! MO, ILL, IN, OH, NY, PA, CT to see son, RI, NH, ME, VT, PA, NY, OH, IN, IL, home to MO. The tolls out East are rough. We don’t have them in MO.
Renee, your fall decor adds a great fall vibe. It is hard when it comes to decorating in an rv. I only have a little wire fake Charlie Brown Christmas tree along. “It never hurts to ask” - I like it. Thanks for sharing. Sorry about the needed repairs.
Great video! We did our Maine trip in July and August. We had major trailer tire issues, 3 failed all within a week. We decided to use Discount Tire for the nationwide warranty. Highly recommend McLoons Lobster Shack in Thomaston. The Coastal Main Botanical Gardens is so picturesque with 5 Giant trolls. After you've had your fill of Maine, you might also want to consider heading north to Saint Martens NB. There is a great campground on the Bay of Fundy - Century Farm Family Camp Ground. There is so much to see there, the sea caves and the the Fundy Trail Parkway (4 waterfalls) scenic drive are beautiful. Safe travels to you both!!
You guys ever come through North Alabama stop at lake Martin camp ground so much to do and get a water site reasonable rate 500 plus sites check it out 😊
LOVE the Products You Both advertise to help us! We have now purchased your fridge fans and extremely happy with them. Thank you for helping all of us with your finishing products and trying them! LOVE you Guys!😊
The coastal interstates up through New England are the busiest routes, with tons of (sometimes aggressive) traffic and congestion. Lots of tolls as well. You might enjoy more northerly routes when you head west. You would find spectacular scenery, charming small towns, many RV campgrounds and a more relaxed experience. Usually lower campground prices and very few tolls. When towing our 30' west from midcoast Maine, we prefer heading to around Lake Champlain before turning south. You might enjoy the difference. Safe travels!
I used to be a grounds keeper at a campground that I was seasonal at. It doesn't take 4 hours to clean one site but you have to remember that collectively you are trying to get all the sites that were just vacated. Picking up garbage, shoveling out the fire pits or sometimes putting the fire out first, and then raking or leaf blowing the pad to make it look presentable. Not all people are polite and have common sense to pick up after themselves but for most of the RV/camping community, they are good people. Also sometimes that is the only time we get to cut the grass as well.
Using a transponder will get you a discount on tolls, since they don’t have to pay a service to invoice you. Your $16 toll over Beacon Newburgh Bridge should be $12.20.
We have camp hosted and have an Airbnb. The noon checkout and 4 pm checkin times give the workers a 'window' to clean the sites. Sometimes you can't start right at noon to clean because of errands etc. And not everyone leaves on time.
Love the breakfast recipe. It looks yummy and I'll have to try it soon 🤤. I especially loved topping it with cottage cheese. When Renee took that extra bite of cottage cheese before she put it away I knew we were kindred spirits. I always have cottage cheese in my fridge. We love following your adventures every week and my Hubby and I hope to be out there making our own memories soon. Stay safe 😊
That multi-state transponder sounds like a terrific idea! In Texas, we rock TollTags, which are good in Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. I hope they expand to other states as well!
i liked when nana was pulling out on the road she had her left hand on the wheel and right hand on her coffee cup like she was shifting gears.😂.good video
We arrived in Maine two days ago. We will be here until Sunday. Be sure to go Acadia National Park & Cadillac Mountain in Bar Harbor. It is amazing, breathtaking, and so worth the trip! Also, stop at Fish House Grill in Bar Harbor for fresh lobster. We had the Seafood Grill and the New England Clam Chowder. OMG!!!!! To die for! If the weather is nice, ask to sit outside. You'll be able to watch the seagulls and see the Lobster boats come into shore. For us, it was an amazing day!!!!
So happy to see y’all in Maine and in Kennebunkport! My sister and brother-in-law loved this area and all of Maine. Love Hemlock trees. The historic features are extraordinary in the area plus the lobster🦞🦀 crabs and all sea food 🥗🍤🍣🍜🦪🍷🍷 can’t wait. Love to you 3
I can't believe the great adventure you guys are on. I was a traveling nurse, and I was driving all the way up in the main for an assignment, and it was beautiful. The worst part of it was is I left the assignment in January and had to drive all the way to Florida. Watch out for the snow. Please be careful, drive safe. You guys are amazing and Keep up the great videos. I enjoy your adventure, are you you guys are on
Loved the fall look and decor around your fireplace, somethings are worth finding a place to store them so you can enjoy them time after time. Also more thrifty that way.
Glad you found such a lovely campground! In Maine, too! #ThanksHanks Thanks Dexter! Only wrong with your videos is they are never long enough. Who can get enough of the Hanks.... Nobody! Hope those repairs weren't too expensive. Keep smiling. 😊😊😼
Agree, make sure to further investigate anything that the dealership told you you needed to have done and if you decide to do them check with repair shops about pricing too.
Oh, and we love your harvest decor! My husband was dying laughing because as we were watching I was also decorating MY mantle with little punkins, etc.
Lol, you guys are always a hoot. Absolutely love traveling with you guys. Currently still travel nursing in Glenwood Springs, Colorado and having a blast. We are definitely looking for a RV so that we can get out there on the road and enjoy the adventure. You guys have definitely inspired us. Love you guys love love love😊
The low planes are so real. I live right near there. There's an old Air Force base right to the left of where you saw the plane go over. It's called Pease Tradeport now. There's an area you can park and watch the planes landing. They're soooo close!
Another Thursday evening with the Hanks! We love watching and laughing with you on Thursdays when we can’t go camping. We will be out in October though! Stay safe and Happy Hanks!
Hello Hank I am from Redding calif and I watch y’all every week I enjoy every video. We got a 5th RV almost a year ago and thanks to you both we know what to do we have only used it Three time but it’s been great fun so Thank You !!
100% agree on the check-in checkout times. It’s so ridiculous to have to check out by 11 or 12 and you can’t get to your next place until two or 3 o’clock in the afternoon, especially when you don’t have very far to travel. Makes no sense!!
My father worked for the NYS park system. Check out and check in times are strict. Not just to clean up all the sites but they also need to mow. They usually have a small crew doing all the work. .....And let's not forget about their lunches! Lol
When you add a lift kit and bigger tires it changes what the truck was designed to do. More weight, more stress on suspension components. You may want to consider going back to stock size tires. You may also notice a better ride and better fuel economy.
I just wanted to say that you are both awesome and I love the videos! I don't own an RV yet but I have been to most states in the US, watching your videos brings back a lot of memories. You should consider getting a lifetime alignment from a national store like Firestone which will allow you to pay once and get an alignment every time you need one at any store, I paid less than $300 for mine and with as much traveling as you guys do, I would recommend getting one every 10,000 miles because we both know, truck tires aren't cheap!
Glad you got to my home state! Thanks for the quick review of the campground too. In case you were wondering, Arundel is pronounced “uh-run-dull”. That dealership can be hit or miss with things. I hope it all turns out ok for you.
Hi Brice! Yes, we can't wait to start exploring some of the lighthouses in the area. We heard that Maine has a lot of them 😃 Thanks for your wonderful time in watching
Kyle, here on the Oregon coast, 62 is a hot day! Shorts, T-shirt, and flip flops. Enjoy Maine!!! I lived in Brunswick a couple of years. Grew up a Navy brat. We were stationed there '79-'81, back when BNAS was still an operational Naval base. Love your channel!!!
I love your autumn 🍂 decorations, I was so excited with you when they didn’t get wrecked, autumn 🍂 is my favourite time of the year, opposite to you ( it’s spring here)
I understand your love for your Denali, I have had 2. Don't be afraid to look at new ones though. Just make sure you get a good warranty on your deal if you do. I replaced my 2018 with a 2023 a couple years ago and fell in love with the new one 😁
Love you guys love love love😊 Nay nay I absolutely love the pumpkins. You go girl.
Hi Max! Thank you so much for your time in watching! We’re so happy to hear we’ve inspired you. Enjoy your travels and keep having a blast! 🎃😊 All the love from the Hanks
Howdy from Australia! Love the content! The toll pass we have here. Pretty much the same as what you were talking about, put money on it and when you go through a tolled road it beeps. We had had it for a while but mostly the new expensive roads. Keep the great content coming!
Nay Nay, I am in a small one bedroom apartment so I also don’t have any where to store holiday decor. However, I splurge on a wreath for my door for every occasion and season. One tote for all and I swap out as I need to. PS… I’m a retired widow and I live vicariously through you both ❤
Campgrounds do that so they can mow grass, clean the site if needed or maybe something else. It is a maintenance window for them.

Really enjoy your videos.I was born and brought up in Maine and some of the best places to visit aren't necessarily in the big tourist areas. Consider visiting Baxter State Park. you won't be able to take a big rig there but you can do day trips from campgrounds outside the park. Consider following route one north of Ellsworth that will take you through many small fishing towns ending up in Machias and Lubec. Beautiful area and usually not crowded. If you like lobster rolls, Dorrs Seafood Market route 1A in Ellsworth Falls. Enjoy!
Just a shout out to ya. We went full time in February and watched a ton of videos when we were preparing. Still watch a lot. You guys are our favorite. You make it fun and interesting. Thanks for the content!
At 13:03, that was a C-130 Hercules, military transport plane. They can carry a 60k lb Abrahams tank. Plus gear and 100 troops. They are big, not as big as a C-5 Galaxy though.
Hello Kyle and Renae, We were in Wells Maine this past summer and always have a great time. We stayed in Moody motel and did some sight seeing,I want to mention that Cape Elizabeth in Portland Maine was fantastic . Enjoy Maine and have great time. from Nancy and Bill Slyer
Just finished 4 month summer road trip and stayed in Hemlock Grove and Great Bay. Probably hit 40 campgrounds and Hemlock was our favorite, camping vibe in a well laid out CG. Got home to FL just in time for Helene...
It’s becoming a habit watching the Hanks channel 😂. So you’re up in Maine where I lived for 16 years. I have crossed that bridge at least 100 times. I’m getting the popcorn and ready for the show. ❤
Aww we really appreciate your incredible support 🤗 How cool that you lived here for 16 years...what a beautiful place to live! Thank you for all your continued support. You mean a lot ❤️
Great bay is 10 minutes away from us. Love your channel, always good info North conway in NH is worth a stop but beware of traffic. Use west side road as a bypass. Hope you enjoy the foliage.
Love to see Ney towing! I love when my wife takes the drive on a travel day, we're lucky guys Kyle! Another great video as always! Curious to see how the innovative solution TSD toll thing goes, been looking into that, but sounds too good to be true! staying tuned
Regarding the 4 hours that some campgrounds have between checkout and checkin times is somewhat understandable. With that window it allows the staff to take lunch so that the store can be understaffed. The ground crew can also take lunch and then tiddy up the campsites. I've been to a few places where the ground crew has to reset all of the furniture that someone moved and didn't take the time to place in their proper location before leaving. Also I've been to a few campgrounds were the staff would rake each site to make the gravel level again. Some would blow the leaves as well. So, I'm just pointing out there are reasons to have a window of time between checkout and checkin.
EEEK!! Loved the NH part of your video! I knew exactly where you were. Rene, love the fall decor! Kyle, your EZ Pass sound effects were epic, especially the 2nd one. The 95 bridge? As a child, my cousins and I played in the i-beams where they were stored before the bridge was built. We did not know about that campground in Arundel. It looks new and super nice! We will have to check it out. And it's "ah-RUN-dl". 😉 September has the best weather for most of it--except for today. Enjoy our New England. We are glad you're here (or "heeyah" as we pronounce it 😆)
Needing a wheel alignment is a very common problem. I have a Silverado and pull a trailer and I recommend an alignment every 2 years because of the plethora of potholes on the roads. Really reduces uneven tire wear.
The fall foliage is unbelievable in the northeast. We live in WNY and are planning to take our camper to the Finger Lakes region mid Oct. If you can come through NY to Buffalo, you will enjoy the trip.
I hope when you continued north that you stayed on Rte 1. Just a beautiful ride . Searsport is one of my favorite towns to drive through. My brother in law has a place in Hancock that overlooks a Sound. Enjoy your stay in Maine.
Maine is our happy place and we go there from Rhode Island at least once a year when the blueberries are in season. We bought 110 pounds this year. While you're in Maine be sure to ear Lobsta and Blueberry Pie.
You know Carl, we went thru NH in 2021 as nomads. Bad part, we hit not the peak season for leaf change, but THE PEAK SEASON WEEKEND FOR LEAF CHANGE. Could not find a hotel in a 250 mile radius. Was able to get one after 2 hrs of searching on line 60 miles from us. Ending up at a 1960 style motor lodge, bathroom was remodeled. Ended up being one of our most memorable stops. Strange how things work out. Go with the flow. LOVE NH !!!!!!!!!
That was a C-130 that flew over you, very well could have been from my unit, the 103rd airlift wing in Connecticut!!! Safe travels!
🤗 my son is a green mountain boy
My dream in life was to own a nice RV. Due to disability that’s been made impossible. I’m grateful to have great people to watch and show their lives. It’s a happily ever kind of day!
There is one more thing to consider about the alignment, most of your driving is with the trailer connected and the alignment is being done without the weight on the bed of the truck. If tire wear is somewhat of an issue still you would want to mention that so the technician could compensate for the additional weight in setting the alignment. Awesome work on the videos. Safe travels.

Thank you so much, Jeannie!! You are so supportive 🤗
Thanks Hanks! You guys are so fun to watch, and make my own rv adventures even better!
$$ store decorations for each season & donate to the campgrounds when you change over.
Love that idea!
Thanks!
Thank you for your wonderful support! You mean a lot ❤️
If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. Hoping the repairs will fix the issues and keep OUR Hanks safe on the road
Welcome to New England! It’s so cool watching your videos in our haunts!
The fireplace looks great, but you need 12 more pillows on your bed. I know this because my wife has that many on our bed.😂
Always good to see people visiting Maine, nice place to live for 3/4 the year. Winters here are no fun usually but otherwise decent weather and plenty of places to explore.
I am LOVING the longer videos! #ThanksHanks!

We have an EZ Pass and make our own sound at tolls. We take turns saying Chah Ching..
Nice!
Tie rod? A frame bushings? Not the steering rack! Love you guys. Rockers be rockin!
How have you survived this long without a multi-state toll transponder?
Good job on the toll tag. You can truck it up against the mirror module to minimize the obstruction. Just keep it horizontal. 👏👏👏
You guys ever come through North Alabama stop at lake Martin camp ground so much to do and get a water site reasonable rate 500 plus sites check it out 😊

Hello Hank I am from Redding calif and I watch y’all every week I enjoy every video. We got a 5th RV almost a year ago and thanks to you both we know what to do we have only used it Three time but it’s been great fun so Thank You !!
Fellow Campers here and New Hampshire residents. Looking forward to see where you guys go in NH.
I get so excited for your videos every Thursday.
Thank you so much for taking the time to be here every Thursday ❤️ We truly couldn't do it without you!
100% agree on the check-in checkout times. It’s so ridiculous to have to check out by 11 or 12 and you can’t get to your next place until two or 3 o’clock in the afternoon, especially when you don’t have very far to travel. Makes no sense!!

Y’all are so funny! I’m always referring newbies to your channel. I swear I learned everything from y’all. ❤️❤️

I’m with you guys. 3 pm is an unreasonable check in time!
The lighthouses in Maine are really cool to see.
Hi Brice! Yes, we can't wait to start exploring some of the lighthouses in the area. We heard that Maine has a lot of them 😃 Thanks for your wonderful time in watching
That was actually a great description of an alignment.

Howdy from Australia! Love the content! The toll pass we have here. Pretty much the same as what you were talking about, put money on it and when you go through a tolled road it beeps. We had had it for a while but mostly the new expensive roads. Keep the great content coming!
I’ve always wanted to visit Vermont in the fall and winter. Thanks for taking us with you! Love you guys!
Enjoy!
You guys make me giggle every friggin’ video! 😂
7:45. It is rare I will stay at a place that I cannot do reservations online. It is 2024. There is no reason not to have an online reservation system.
Absolutely! Cannot agree more. How do you know that they won’t misplace/lose the reservation if you call.
Hello Kyle and Renae,
We were in Wells Maine this past summer and always have a great time. We stayed in Moody motel and did some sight seeing,I want to mention that Cape Elizabeth in Portland Maine was fantastic .
Enjoy Maine and have great time.
from Nancy and Bill Slyer
We Love you guys! Great video, keep being real that’s what sets you guys apart from most of the other Rv Chanels ! Hope to meet you both sometime
Just finished 4 month summer road trip and stayed in Hemlock Grove and Great Bay. Probably hit 40 campgrounds and Hemlock was our favorite, camping vibe in a well laid out CG. Got home to FL just in time for Helene...
The fart sound for the transponder gets my vote! 😂 We schedule our week around seeing your videos! Always enjoy!
Love your channel, always good info
North conway in NH is worth a stop but beware of traffic.
Good luck with the repairs 🫣
Campground looks lovely 🥳 Hope your truck won’t be too bad🙏🏽
There is also a lobster boat tour you can do while you are there. We did it and it was amazing and really cool pulling lobster traps out of the water.
Your little fireplace looks great!
Thanks for all you do! Welcome to our neck of the woods. I work in Arundel and looking forward to hearing about the rest of your trip!
I was in Main as a kid but I haven’t been back so thank you for a video on Main. Best wishes for a happy trip!
Maine is our happy place and we go there from Rhode Island at least once a year when the blueberries are in season. We bought 110 pounds this year. While you're in Maine be sure to ear Lobsta and Blueberry Pie.
Alignment is more than toe-in. Gotta do camber and caster too.
Love your work! I appreciate how real you are! About to start full time!!!
