Maytag Dryer Door Switch Replacement

This video documents steps I've taken to replace the broken door switch on a 13 year old Maytag dryer. Many dryers are cross-OEM branded, and this procedure will work on many dryers.

I have same dryer except it won't start. I know how to read the thermo switches. On the door switch I can see 3 wires. If the switch is bad and dryer won't start, how do I measure

So, to replace thar switch, you didn't have to take off the control panel on top, correct? You just opened it from the top front and lifted the cover?
