So legally, even though Venom was teased in the MCU, they can’t use him there since he’s already been used in Sonys dumpster fire of a universe?

Getting all the rights under the same roof would allow for better stories. I say they can keep some rights and negotiate, definitely good with the video games, but Disney is able to make better films if they were just allowed to use Spider-Man, so long as Sony gets a piece of the pie.

Let Sony try and take as many villains as they want. The MCU can make original stories using other Marvel villains instead moving forward. There are a lot of street heroes and villains that Spider-Man can create with.

A Tom Holland Tom Hardy To y Maguire Andrew Garfield crossover is exactly what Sony wants and what Marvel appears to have agreed to for Spoder-Man 4.
Marvel originally wanted a street level SM4 with Daredevil the Kingpin and the Punisher. Those plans appear to have been pushed back to Spider-Man 5.
It appears to have been a done deal that the Maguire and Garfield
Spider-Men would return with Tom Hardy’s Venom to meet Tom Holland in Secret Wats. The problem with that is that would be an Avengers film where Sony gets a small users fee and not the box office. They want a solo Spider- Man multiverse film where they too can reap a big payday.
Also Toby Maguire Andrew Garfield and Tom Hardy would get a two picture deal by signing on with Disney and Sony and MCU characters would appear in the Sony film.

The other parts of this key are the X-Men, the Avengers and the Fantastic 4 - all those parts are with Marvel Studios.

Here’s my prediction,after Secret Wars once everything is rebooted we will a comic accurate spider man setting in the MCU,which means a Harry Osborn,Norman Osborn,Venom,Mary Jane Watson,Gwen Stacy,Kraven,Oscorpe and many more will exist in the Mcu. And Marvel can introduce Miles Morales and Tom Holland can play the mentor role.
Then that’s the Ultimate universe
They do the next Spider-Man film as ground level with Kingpin and Daredevil, call it Spider-Man and Daredevil.
Then Secret Wars, black costume, and a Bully Maguire type movie with less suck and more awesome. Finally bring in Sony Venom and have Spider-Man and Venom team up against something like Kull or Toxin or something for the final Spiderman move. Call it Spider-Man: Venom

No one would care if Sony was making great superhero movies. WB owns Batman and rarely crossed over the character. It wasn't a big deal. Marvel has a ton of characters it could use with a similar Peter Parker energy. Banking the MCU on Spider-man is just giving Sony free marketing.

Sony is misusing their leverage. They know the Spider-Man movies have been MCU main success since End Game, but Sony themselves have a longer track record of putting out cheeks aside from Spiderverse.

@@Stumme-40203 yeah I considered this. However, the last time Sony did something like this, KF showed them that the “MCU does better with your characters than you can”. This is still the truth and with the MCU beginning to rollout Fantastic 4 and the X-Men, the MCU can stand to miss out on Spider-man for a few more movies and be cool.

I honestly like that idea for the Kraven movie having a spiderman show up like an antagonist to Kraven with little plot, they wouldn't have to reveal the actor under the mask just leave it a mystery, it would draw a lot of attention and curiosity to the film

It's so weird that it's so hard to make these films when every single one of them just basically prints money. From Blade being cancelled to all these issues with Spiderman it's really a weird issue that fans are being denied ways to spend money on these films. If I were a shareholder of Disney or Sony I would be furious.

There's actually one person to blame here: Ike Perlmutter. When his company bought Marvel to save it from bankruptcy, he's the one who sold the movie rights to the Fantastic 4, the X-men, and Spider-Man.
When Tom Holland's contract expired, Disney should have bought back the rights to Spider-Man. It would have been worth the 10 billion.

I wish they would just do a contract where there’s one Spider-Man character IP a year. Whether that’s a movie, a Disney + series, or a cartoon like Freshman Year. Disney agrees to let Sony explore things on the game front.
