- [Builder's view] Tamiya 1/24 Subaru Impreza WRC '98 Monte-Carlo is in progress.
I want to make the doors operable, so I will cut them out.
Then, in preparation for lighting up the lights, I will modify the taillights. In their original state, the clear parts are tightly fitted to the body, preventing light from diffusing. To address this, I will drill holes in the taillight section and shape the interior with epoxy putty. This will create a small gap inside the clear parts so the red light can shine through.
I will make tweets such as the announcement of the start of the live broadcast on X(Twitter)

Hi Kenji, it's magical! I was wondering if you were going to cut the doors. I think the tail lights will look great when you are done. The scratch built Piazza lights were so awesome. もう、アートの域ですね
レンズ裏、自分も色々気になってました。カーモデル、レンズのリアルさが命ですね。それに加えて点灯させるとの事、今後も楽しみです。
途中でピアノ曲がインサートされるタイミング、選曲、音量が抜群によくて、見ていてとても心地よいです。
さすが、物を作るセンスをがある人は、プラモデルでも映像作品でも発揮してきますね。

Have you tried using the mini saw blade for cutting panels? They fit onto the X-Acto blade handle and are very skinny

二段階でエポキシパテ造形していると理解してからは、納得しましたが…
多分世界でここまでテールランプに手を入れるモデラーはKenjiさんだけでしょう。
恐ろしいほどの自己満足の世界、多分一般の人には決して理解されることのない映像です。
「…で？」という極めて短い構文で、彼等はモデラーの拘りを一蹴してきます。スルー力を身につけるまで、自分もだいぶダメージを喰らいました。😊
Kenjiさんは常人の自分とは次元の違う高みにおられますから、そんな一般人の評価は歯牙にも掛けないでしょうが…😅
しかし…ドアまで切ってしまって、すっかり穴だらけではないですか。
やはり、内装への細やかな拘りは、ドアを切るためにあったのですね。
さあ、再びのサイドシルスクラッチ地獄の始まりです。
やっぱりね。ドア開けない選択肢なんか無いと思ってたんですよ。確信してました。

そうなんですよ、編集しながらちょっとわかりにくいなあと思ってたのですが
カットし過ぎると余計分からないし詳しい説明を書くのも大変なので、
分かる人だけわかればいいかと割り切りました😊
テールライトは多分こうしないと、光らせても赤い点が光るだけになってしまいそうで苦肉の策です。
サイドシルはいつも面倒ですが仕方ないですね😅

Pregunta, la masilla Tamiya en cuanto tiempo tarda en secar Kenji.... porque esa masilla ya la vi en mi país y voy a ver si la compro
En cuanto a la masilla epoxi de Tamiya, tarda más de 12 horas en endurecerse. En algunos casos puede ser mejor esperar 2 o 3 días.
