I just briefly debated a pastor friend of mine on these issues. He was claiming that freedom of religion is a biblical principle. I pointed out that the biblical principle of the 10 commandments is actually “thou shalt have no other gods before me” and that standard was upon pain of death. This is not freedom of religion. Rather, it is the antithesis. Freedom of (and from) religion is a constitutional principle, but it absolutely is NOT a biblical one.

Persia had the first religious freedom edict. When Cyrus conquered Babylon, he let his subjects keep their religions. That was why the Jews treat Cyrus as Messiah, because he freed them to worship their god and return to Israel, if they want. There might've been earlier religious freedoms, but I am not familiar with it.

The founders made SURE the country was not religious. That was one of their purposes: to have freedom of religion, NOT be crushed by it. They knew of state religion, making sure they left it in Europe.

Dorothy Gay........They left religion in Europe and now Europe is rejecting religion. Only 20% of 17 -25 year olds are religious over the pond. Great eh ?

They left Europe because the English government refused to allow them to practice their version of religion. They wanted to purge England of any religion they disagreed with. The English were okay with multiple faiths so on board the Mayflower and good riddance.

dont think they "knew" anything for certain back then. Probably just lucked out because they already had a large part of different religions and believes at the time so excluding 70% of the population would ve been a bad move

Yasss....that is the American experiment. Our Constitutional authors were extremely smart and made it godless on purpose. This is to protect all religions and to prevent religious torture of anyone giving their freedom to practice their religion their way. To quote Seidel, there is NO freedom of religion without freedom from religion.

Our country was specifically engineered to be a secular nation, built on the natural rights of man - freedom and equality. We owe much to men like Paine and Jefferson who laid the foundation for our freedoms. The separation of church and state is crucial and a fundamental necessity of a free society. Had this nation been founded as a Christian nation, as evangelicals claim, the first amendment would be dead, and freedom would have rotted in the grave with it.

    • @johnmalcolm7549

@Peter Hockley That is amazing! Paine was not properly appreciated in his day nor mentioned enough now. Of course, we'll have an uphill battle, because we _didn't_ vote reliably in previous elections (or threw our votes away on idiotic third-party candidates), so the Republicans have the Supreme Court firmly in their partisan hands. But we have to recognize how we screwed up if we're ever going to fix it.

Religions love to say that without them there can be no morality.
    Let's take a specific case: _rape_ .
For centuries, raped women hid their rape to avoid dishonour. Because in the mentality of the time, until very recently, when a woman was raped, it was her fault. Very quickly, people would insinuate that it was her way of dressing, talking, walking, in other words her provocative behaviour that was the reason for her rape. Courts rarely convicted rapists and women who dared to report their abusers were in turn banished from society. _Only secular societies today make rape a crime_

    Awesome book!!!💖🔱🥇🎉🎊
Just pre-ordered it. Sucks that I have to wait for it. Jesus was a Sorcerer, he was accused of it which is why he was crucified.
Sorcerer Jesus wasn't all powerful, but he did have some powers, he didn't want people knowing and bragging about his Sorcery, but at the same time he couldn't stand by and watch others suffer, often after helping people he would ask for them not to say anything about his magic. (John 9:6-11)
Of course, people couldn't keep their mouths shut, and bragged. Was he a god, or was he a Witch? Well the powers that be at that time didn't want this "Messiah" teaching others to do this Magick, they couldn't have everyone knowing this, their whole system would collaspe, they needed people to be dumb, ignorant, and illiterate so that they could get these "slaves" to do their bidding.
To this day, this system of control is still in effect.
    Matthew 12:24
But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, "It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons."
The Babylonian Talmud is a commentary on Jewish laws composed between A.D. 500-600 (Neusner/Green, 69) Therein is a text about Jesus’ death. The Tractate Sanhedrin (43a) contains this passage:
Jesus was hanged on Passover Eve. Forty days previously the herald had cried, “He is being led out for stoning, because he has practiced sorcery and led Israel astray and enticed them into apostasy. Whosoever has anything to say in his defense, let him come and declare it.” As nothing was brought forward in his defense, he was hanged on Passover Eve.
    What is the difference between,
    Divination and Prophecy?
    Prayer and Spellcasting?
    Worship and Spirit Summoning?
    A Prophet and a Sorcerer?
    A god and a Witch?
Christians claim God hates Witchcraft and Sorcery, but you only hear them raising Hell about it, you never see this all powerful god enforcing his authority. So why does an all-powerful god need piss-ants to enforce his bullshit? Because he's not all-powerful. God is limited in what he can do. (Case in point, God has Moses paint blood over the Israelite's doors to indicate to the Angel of Death, who not to kill, an all-powerful god who supposedly knows how many hairs are on each and everyone's head somehow can't differentiate between Egyptian and Israelite.)
What is really going on here is Blood Sorcery, a practice which Sorcerer Moses picked up in Egypt, as Moses wanted a piece of Pharoah's pie, and Pharoah told Moses to fuck off and then what ensued was a Wizard's Duel. But if Moses really won why did he leave Egypt and not run Pharoah's ass out of Egypt? Something isn't adding up.
The word of God is his actual name. The study of this name is known as Tetragrammaton, the four-fold name of God YHVH.
Moses created the 3rd Commandment to prevent his Sorcery of the Tetragrammaton from being practiced against him.
But some Sorcerers did abuse this power as is evident in 2 Kings 2:23-24, “And Elisha went up from there to Bethel. While he was on his way, young juveniles came out from the city and mocked him, saying, ‘Go up, bald-head! Go up, bald-head!’ When he turned back and saw them, he cursed them in the name of YHWH. Then two female bears came out from the forest and mauled forty two of those juveniles.”
We believe that Jesus was a Witch, that he descends from a long line of Sorcerers, like Moses, Noah, Methuselah, Samson, and Solomon.
The disciples were faithless idiots. Jesus was constantly on their asses for their lack of faith. They never understood what Jesus was teaching, his Sorcery, and so their fucked up assumptions and interpretations of him came to be the standard beliefs for what Christianity is based on. Truly the blind leading the blind. Because of this the Bible cannot be considered the Word of God, rather because it is enforced, it is the Word of the Church.
I say "Faithless", because in Matthew 17:20, Jesus says, "Faith as small as a mustard seed you can say to this mountain move from here to there and it will be done, nothing will be impossible for you".
Yet, no Christian can move the mustard seed, which means that no Christian has any faith. Doing Miracles is the test for faith. Also Jesus never says have "faith-in" him, he always says "have faith" period. This is a far cry from what the Christians preach that you must have "faith-in" Jesus, which is actually "trust".
The cult of Christianity is entirely man-made to prevent people from developing their powers and putting the Church out of power. They need ignorant, fearful idiots to fund their lavish lifestyles.
Investigate the origins of the bible and how Christianity came to be, you will find much evil was done to establish it as a major power.
You can't sell your soul to the devil or make a pact with him, that is a Christian lie and Hollywood bullshit.
In the Garden of Eden, the Yahweh god said that if Adam and Eve ate the fruit that they would surely die, the other god Lucifer, represented by the serpent said that they wouldn't die, they would have the same knowledge of good and evil like the gods. What happened?
They ate and did not die, they gained the knowledge of the gods.
    The Yahweh god lied.
"He was a liar from the beginning".
This is not in reference to Lucifer, but the Yahweh god. The Yahweh god demands servitude. The god Lucifer wants equality and for us to become living gods, which is why he teaches mortals about Witchcraft and Sorcery.
Sorcery is the manipulation of astral energies, whether they be of one's own (internal pranas, soul) or another's (spirit's or other people's soul).
Sorcery, in a nutshell, simply means the act of causing astral forces (energy) to effect this physical plane. Thus, many sorcerers devote their time to idolizing certain astral beings who help their Ascent in this physical life, and beyond.
    Two types, internal and external.
Manipulation of astral energy of internal spirits is Yoga/Meditation.
Manipulation of astral energy of external spirits is Summoning/Conjuring/Evocation.
Interesting enough is that the Ritual of Christian Worship is no different than the ritual of spirit summoning, except that in the 3 parasitic death cults, the name of god is unknown and the blood sacrifice in Christianity is watered down, they use wine or grape juice as the symbolic representation of Jesus' blood, thus making their petitions very ineffective. The reason some Christian prayers get answered is because of the focused intention behind it which is no different than Spellcasting.
Thus Christianity is like watered down witchcraft. The Grimoire, the Sworn book of Pope Honorius discusses the many Sorceries that the Church has engaged in in order to make its miracles/magick more effective.
The Sworn Book of Honorius: Liber Iuratus Honorii www.amazon.com/dp/B01H83IP12/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_NOz1Cb7B0T8TD
Lucifer left the domain of the false god of the Christians to help mankind evolve into something greater than the Yahweh/Jehovah god. Christianity demands servitude, whereas our God Lucifer does not. In the Garden of Eden, he liberated us from the lies of the Yahweh/Jehovah god. He helped us gain Knowledge of Good and Evil, & all's he wants is for us to know ourselves so that we can evolve into something magnificent and not be held down by the Church who just wants our money and then makes false promises about our salvation. Only we can save ourselves.
Lucifer wants man to know himself and evolve to become a living god. Yoga and meditation are considered Satanic because it is a threat to the Church, they don't want another Jesus to come and fuck up all that they have created.
If Jesus ever returned they would kill him immediately. The Church suppresses man's natural god powers with lies, threats, and murder.
By using the techniques of Sorcery we are able to Summon these great gods that teach the deeper meaning of life and the secrets to Apotheosis or Becoming a Living God.

I use the bible to disprove the Christian interpretation and reinterpret it from a Sorcerer's point of view. Christianity is bullshit because it was enforced by the church.
I don't see the Bible as the Word of God, i see it as the history of Witchcraft and Sorcery, wizard dueling and abuse of the Tetragrammaton.

Load of bunk. Jesus was a perceived OT character that got woven as historical.

Ever since I read the Bible cover-to-cover I've failed to understand anti-abortion Christians. God seems just fine with abortion in the Bible. In fact, the Old Testament seems to condone it.
If the Bible is fine with abortion then don't worry about it, Christians! LOL.

Cmon Seth, "area codes" wirh 2 digits?
    Its a country code obviously.
Us area codes are 3 digits.
With the exception of just very few countries of any significance, they all ( except us with 1 ) have 2.
    Maybe travel more?
Your remarks on mayonnaise in another podcast I just listened too are making you sound so ignorant, its baffling.
You are a good kid. Love your show, but stay with ( anti ) religion. Suits you better.
