@Jesus has given you all. Repent or die. And those Romans should repent too after the dodgy kebabs they sell at crucifixions and stonings. I went past his cave earlier and his bag of MenuLog was still at the entrance so I think he mayve eaten a kebab. He needs credit on his phone too. Can you send me your bank details and I'll put some credit on for him. I'm the only one who can speak to him at the moment until his stomach settles a bit. Cheers mate

Love the orvis knot. Super easy to tie, and the only way it comes loose is if you break the line. It also will not break the line at the knot. If the line breaks it’s past the knot. Super strong, easy to tie, doesn’t come loose.

@@blingblangtrucknbrotherr honestly it usually takes me at least two tries to get that on right because I pretty new to the fly rod game. But let me ask you a question, I have never had a problem casting floating line but I bought some sinking line and it won't cast more than 10'? And it's the top knotch Rio for a guy like me. $180.00 But no one would even bother to help me on steelhead manifesto or those other places? It's all an ego contest over there? So if you have any help I'd be very thankful!

Apologies, folks. I got to thinking about the knot while watching other videos.
Topher Nuttle, in a sense, is right. The knot does seem to be a combination of of the clinch knot (instead of "cinch knot") and definitely main element of the Palomar knot ("polymer"?).
When teaching this one to my grandsons, I'll call it something like "super Palomar", or "improved Palomar."
Until, that is, someone provides an "official" name for it.

A single or doubble treaded knot, most generaly doesn't break, they actually are cut by the fact that it's impossible for there to be no place where as the line doesn't cross it self. Using a doubble treade knot, though it also would have a point where it cross's it self. Because there's two, it's twice less likely to cut it self. I'm 73 years old and to this day utilize a doubble knot my grand father taught me. And have never lost a fish do to a snapped line. But then again, prior to using a setup when I've not fished for a week or so. I was also taught to peel off abouth six feet of what my grandfather called the working end of the line, and retie. The working end is the last six feet or so of the line that extends off the reel and through the various number of eyelets and generally back to a point. Replacing that on every rod prior to fishing after a bit of time insues one always has fresh line.
