Good question 😂 When I choose to fly without the reserve, I ensure a list of essential checks is completed… for example: weather conditions, wing that I plan to fly, traffic in the sky, terrain, flying style, other possibly risky factors,… Reserve is nice tho..already saved my life once. 🔥
If money is not an issue, what is the best paragliding setup ( harness, wing, electronic instruments etc) according to you for long endurance cross country flying??
For me right now… I would say of Urubu King and Grasshopper harness. Love the direct gokart feeling and performance combination of that setup. About instruments… well I really enjoy flying without any.. most of my 100k +-flights were done without any instruments or anything. Less is more :)) Of course depends on flying location and things like that it’s good to have some sort of GPS and communication device in case you need it.
These are insanely flexible.. you can wrap it around your finger and it won’t snap just like that.. but most of the time I store and pack my wings very loose.. 🔥

first time i see someone fold the wing like you did (except for single skins). isn't this going to hurt the lifetime of the wing if you roll it up that way? 🤔
Really? :O I’m folding wings this way for almost 10 years.. however I don’t squeeze them super tight when rolling it like that… maybe it looks more brutal on video 😀 it’s always rolled a bit different. Never the same folds. Another thing to point out is that most of the times I store my wings just in fast packing bags, super loose. I only pack them when I go on hike and flys with smaller packs. Hope all this text makes any sense at all 🤣🤣🤣 Why exactly would it hurt wings lifetime?

Why save laughable 600g of weight for a reserve that could potentially save your life, I will never understand that. Instead camera with at least 400g is more important.
