[5:32] giri could do the skewer without bringing his queen to a6, and he didn't do so not because rook g3 for dubov is strong since dubov will lose his queen eventually.. but because dubov has queen d4 threatening checkmate then will move his rook to g3 after that giri defends against the checkmate threat.. therefore the skewer is no more than wasting moves and helping dubov in his attack.. Anyway, thank you Dear Antonio for all the time and the effort you put into this channel.. my favourite one among all chess channels ❤️ Greetings from Lebanon ☮️

in germany tarrasch is infamous for his very spicy comments and sentences on chess :D dude had a sharp tongue. sharp and quirky at the same time haha. me and a friend we used to make tarrasch quote jokes when we or he played chess in a little cafe every now and then in the late 80s. he used to crush everyone dishing out tarrasch quotes whenever you blundered or played a crap move ^^
@@atomaalatonal I believe @philipsaoud244 knows who Tarrasch was, but the Fischer quote still doesn't make sense without context that was not provided. Was Fischer replying to a question? If so, what was it?
Amazing how the position at the end it looks like black has all its pieces coordinated and raining down on white's king, but it's just not enough. Very tricky how white's rook is seemingly hanging but its creating a crippling pin that prevents the trade down of queens, with of course the mate threat looming as well.
Dubov playes here magnificently. He is the only player whose game feels it is played not by human. First, he gives the advantage to the opponent. In middlegame he makes some incredibly creative decisions that ultimately somehow turn the match to his advantage. That's why I compare his style to Tal's, but it's a less risky, more creative, more accurate version.
I found Qe3 in the pause the video moment! 😃 Logical when you see the need to avoid Qxe5 trick and to still threaten Rxa7 you need to gain a tempo on the bishop. I was thinking about Qd4 or Qe3 and then realized Qe3 only move which also protects the rook while doing all of that! Great pause the video moment.
Daniil played this game like a pro wrestler. They traded blow for blow for a long time, after which he simply got the better of Anish, seemingly effortlessly. This is the mark of a great player, and this is why we love him!
What separates Daniil from all the others is that he simply has no fear of losing. He plays inspired chess with an insight virtually no one else can see. He is absolutely my favorite player to watch and it is truly profound how he can get into a complicated mess and somehow find a way out. It doesn't happen all the time, no doubt about it he will have losses, but make no mistake when you play Daniil, you will absolutely have to bring it. There is no other player including Magnus in the top 100 with so many Agadmator videos demonstrating such remarkable brilliances. Just watch his "Dubov performs a miracle" video where he was playing Mamedyarov and forced a draw in an impossible position. There's a reason there's a video about that.
Very beautiful Gruenfeld. Does white have a centre, a space advantage and an initiative? Or is he overextended? Dubov demonstrates how to play for an initiative without counting pawns. Inspired and inspiring.
Top7-Top9 Kh2 cuz of this exactly Danil play this move he knew that Anish can be suprised by this . Typical Dubov pawns sacrificed and prospect for danger king attack .Most entertaining attacking chess player ! Mikhail will be sooo proud :) if he can see Dubov game :)
For the second pause the video, what about Queen takes Queen, King takes back Queen, rook b7 check, king g8, rook g7 check, king h8, rook g6 takes pawn and discovered check, rook f6, bishop takes rook checkmate?
That dark squared bishop was an absolute monster, and perhaps, just perhaps, Anish could have seriously thought of exchanging his rook at one particular moment of the game as he was two pawns up. I would happily do that if it was my call. Well, at least to minimize the suffering as i also know the rook bishop end game with queens on the board would have been equally not satisfying either.
1. Anish has pawns up, but it was a island pawn. 2. That's not easy to move the rook from c8 square you have to make 2-3 moves. and you just give dubov a free move to create tempo. 3. trading the the rook for the bishop that is teribble decision. since your king is widely open. Dubov will forcing you to trade Queen after that. and a rook against the bishop in the endgame seems impossible to win Remember. (Even you have passed pawn, But The king is dangerous a piece in the endgame, He can walk into g1, pawn to g3, f1, e2 to freeze up your C pawn.
@@Kid_Ikaris but that would favour black as black would take white queen and when rook takes queen at a2 bishop would take the other rook at F3 and would be up the exchange
