I my state there is a law about license plate modification and we would probably get a ticky tac ticket for having it attached to the plate, Other than that its a neat item.
Hi I just hooked mine back up after a year I didn't charge it in the house It worked for a year then I moved to new place I had to change My license plate so I had to take it off And it's been a year since I been using it Anyway everything is hooked up on it When You turn on my Truck on the Screen it says BoSCam then it has 6 squares and it is sitting on pairing it won't go to Camera I don't know why the Camera doesn't show what's behind me Shows those squares CAN you tell me what is wrong Thank You

Love the review. I got last month, but all of a sudden it would not turn on automatically unless I cover the rubber cover and manually turn on the camera. It is so weird, and unfortunately, I lost the instruction manual. Is there additional info on pairing up the camera again or hold the camera's little bottom for x amount of time?
I purchased this back up camera on Amazon prior to watching this video (January of 2020). It worked great for one and a half months and now it stopped working. Not sure what the issue is. Prior to the camera not coming on there would be a big delay in the camera coming on after I finished backing up. I would not recommend this item. I went to write a review on Amazon today, but the item is no longer listed for some reason.
My Tundra already has a backup cametra, so I use mine on the front to help my wife with parking. Turns out I use it myself too, a lot. This appears to be similar to the Autovox, but costs less and mounts differently, and I think it's more convenient to use than the Type S and Whistler brands. Great video, by the way.
After seeing your video, I decided it buy one myself from Amazon. Congrats to their two-day shipping. I've installed it on my 2013 Nissan Rogue and everything works. The only thing I'm skeptical about is how would that work when it's been driven through the carwash? Those bristles on the brush could damage the unit!
I installed my 2nd unit and it just failed as well the first day after a big rainstorm. Same symptoms as the first. Water showing in the solar panel & no display on the monitor.
That would be Illegal in Florida. You cannot cover any printing on the plate. Most auto deal plate frames are illegal because it covers the state and county. Just information for your readers. They are starting to strict about it.
I'll be looking for a backup camera for the Jeep soon because I will have gear in the back making it impossible to see using the rear view mirror. Yes sir, 100,000 subscribers is just around the corner!

fyi, you don't have to mount to license plate. you may consider other places to mount too.

For my pickup truck, having this on the front bumper would be useful for parking since I'm relatively short.
