      I prefer the RS660 overall, but that 675r flyby gave me goosebumps when I was recording it. The 675 shines on high revs.

    i've got a daytona 675. i would say the sound under load sounds better with the triumph. but when the motorcycle is stationary i have to admit that the aprilia sounds very good and i would say bettre.

      I’m 100% with you. When the 675 flew by me I got goosebumps. It rips on high revs and even though I own the RS660, I can say the 675 wins the sound battle on high revs. But I would still choose the RS660 sound overall, as it has a very good sound on high revs and a better sound on mid, low revs and idle.

      The 675r is a faster bike overall. Although a faster rider on an RS660 will be faster than a slower rider on the 675r. But I agree that the RS660 looks better no question, and in my opinion also sounds better overall.

      @@ALFAVITAGAit's a year too late, but would it make sense to have an rs660 as a more friendly vehicle if you have daytona? Or is the daytona not that taxing for a supersport.

    • @ALFAVITAGA
      @ALFAVITAGA  4 месяца назад

      @@rns6889 If I owned both I would probably never ride the Daytona knowing that I can ride the RS660. The RS660 is a more enjoyable bike to ride. I think having both is redundant. But this is just my opinion and preference. The only reason I would have both would be if I had the Daytona as a dedicated track bike. But even then I would choose a different option for a track bike. I’m just not a fan of the Daytona that much so I’m biased. So I vote RS660 in this case.

    • @ALFAVITAGA
      @ALFAVITAGA  2 года назад +2

      I agree. The loudness and tone of the CRT fades the typical twin sound of this bike. But that was my goal. I heard an RS660 with a CRT once from far away and I said to myself “oh an RSV4”. Then I saw the bike ride by me and to my surprise it was an RS660. Thats when I felt really good about my choice. I’m not a fan of twin sounding bikes and before the CRT I was ready to trade the bike within 2 months of ownership only because of the dull stock sound. Since I installed the CRT I love this bike!

The AC36 retains the passenger peg, but has a less aggressive angle and visually its not as good as the TC36 that I have. But you can still add the peg with the TC36 if you can make a bracket. It's a bloody tough one in terms of choosing which one sounds better.. I'd be more leaning towards the 660, but in saying that I'm reading and unfortunately also hearing how bad the 660 is in terms of reliability, I'm hearing horror stories surrounding oil leaks and stuff being loose from factory, I think alot of the problems is steming from a quality perspective within aprilia. Shame really because the 660 is amazing on paper.. Anyone else had issues with the bike? A few searches on Google and reddit and this bike is being ripped apart by everyone :( I was so hyped to get one and now I'm kinda leaning towards something else

    • @ALFAVITAGA
      @ALFAVITAGA  Год назад +1

      Well you have to remember that no one goes on forums and pages to say how great a bike is. It’s only the negatives that people post. Same goes for all manufacturers. Every new model had recalls in the past. Whether it was Suzuki or Yamaha they all had recalls. It’s also a matter of dealer and how good they are in prepping a bike. Inspecting torque specs etc. The first production models came out with some recalls and all got engine replacements under warranty. My RS660 has no issues. It has been functioning perfectly. Mine is a 2021 model but its a June model. So it is not one of the first production models and did not fall under any recalls. But I don’t go on forums to post how great my bike functions. I would only go on forums if I had issues. Thats what forums are for mostly. Issues. And thats why this bike has gotten a bad reputation. Overall there is nothing to fear about this bike. Its a work of art in its category. A real issue a lot of people have is dealer access. There are not too many good Aprilia dealers around and that can be an issue. Fortunately for me in LA my dealer is 15 minutes away. And even though I never need him for major issues its good to know that the support is there.
