We bought this machine and it decided to ruin our Christmas day....We used it for a week and it decided on Christmas not to froth the milk. Out of 12 cups, it frothed only 2 cups. Really frustrating especially when there are not much of written instructions on troubleshooting when it comes why it is NOT frothing the milk. We are about to return the machine. We will give it a try 1 more week. Why are you guys don't have an email option for a contact???
Hi, thanks for your comment. We're really sorry to hear about the issues you've had with your 3300 Series Classic Milk Frother, especially on Christmas day. Here are a few troubleshooting tips that might help: 1. Check the Assembly: Ensure that the milk frother parts are properly assembled. The two parts should click together firmly. 2. Clean the Frother: Make sure the milk frother is clean and free from any milk residue that might be blocking the frothing mechanism. 3. Milk Type: Use fresh, cold milk. Different types of milk (e.g., skim, whole, almond) can affect frothing performance. If these steps don't resolve the issue, please don't hesitate to contact our North American team directly at +1-833-737-1212 (Monday to Friday: 09:00am - 06:00pm EST) for further assistance. Our team will be there to help and ensure you have a positive experience with our products.
Not sure if this happened to you, but somehow I must have pushed up the little black plastic piece inside the frother wand. I must have hit it on the bottom of my frothing container. I just pushed my pinky finger inside the tube and pushed it out a little. I hope this is the fix, I just frothed milk and it was perfect!
@cynthiaflores9031 No, ours is fine. The problem is that it's frothing and then it's not. It happened again today. Machine is clean. Coffee machine was boiling the milk surface( it was inserted correctly, cold full fat milk) instead of frothing and it got my hand. We pulled the tray out( it was empty when we started frothing) and there was a lot of water in the tray...The steam that should go in the frothing spout I guess ends up going into the tray...
Hi Philips Home A question about the 3 warm coffee functions on this machine. They are labelled as “espresso” “espresso lungo” and “coffee”. On orher(/previous) models the buttons were “espresso” “coffee” and “americano”. Were only the labels changed ? Is the processing of the coffee on each funtion is till the same as with the previous labels? I’m trying to understand the machine so I can dial in the grinder setting based on the coffee/water ratios and flow speed that the machine uses. Thanks in advance!
Hi Jeffrey, thanks for your comment. The labels on the coffee machine functions have been updated to better reflect the beverage that is produced. "Espresso" remains the same, delivering a concentrated shot of coffee. "Espresso lungo" is a longer espresso, providing a slightly milder taste due to the increased water volume. The "coffee" function now corresponds to what was previously labeled as "americano," offering a regular coffee by adding more water after the espresso shot. The internal processing for these selections has been fine-tuned to match the new labels, ensuring the optimal extraction and flavor profile for each beverage type. To dial in the grinder setting, you may want to start with the recommended settings and adjust according to your taste preference, considering the coffee-to-water ratio and desired flow speed. We hope this helps you enjoy your coffee experience to the fullest. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us through one of our Social Media channels or the support page on our website. We’ll be happy to assist you.
Thanks for the prompt response. The “Coffee” function on the top right of my machine does not add water after first making an espresso shot. So it is not an Americano coffee function, or so it appears. Don’t get me wrong, I do get a full cup of coffee. But I’m just curious if the Americano mix is achieved in the tubing for instance. Or if not, what kind of brew method is used for that function. Kind regards Jeffrey
Hi again, could you please provide us with the exact model number of your device and the country that you're currently based in? This way we can connect you with our local product experts to look into this further. Awaiting your reply.
Thanks for your question, Michael! The lower the grind setting, the finer the coffee beans are ground and the stronger the coffee. A coarser grind will brew a weaker cup of coffee. If there's anything else you'd like to know, don't hesitate to ask. Wishing you a good week!
Hi Michael, thanks for getting back to us. If you want to heat-up milk, the knob on the classic milk frother should indeed be turned to the left, to the flat milk icon. Don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions in the future. We're always happy to help.

Same thing happened to us! I'm online right now trying to figure out what has gone wrong.
Also considering returning.

This is very helpful. Thank you
Can you but the milk tank for this machine after? Would it work if the milk tank is installed on this model?
No.
Sure why not

What’s the diffeeence between a coarser grind or not?

To heat up the milk (not froth it) do I turn the dial the opposite way?
