I get that he does not want some cops to get disheartened because they can't catch crims and start W chasing. It is a give and take. If the majority of crims are getting away then yeah, things need to change to lean it SLIGHTLY in PD's favor. A fine line that needs to be handled carefully. I have thought that at 10 min approve spike strips, at 20 min pitting, and at 40 mins heli. Chases have been fun, but an hour long chase can get boring.

I'm sure it is a very hard balance to find for the people managing the server and shit, but man it is so extremely unbalanced in favor of crims. I only really watch summit consistently when it comes to rp (sometimes clips of hutch as well) which overall even with pd leniancy, he's had relatively fair getaways from what I've seen. But some of cg's getaways as a whole have been so bs because the cops basically have to box them in until they surrender, and then the crims just have another one of their boys roll up with a new fresh car and the cycle continues until they get away. This is actually (almost) as bad as nopixel's unbalanced cop metas were.
@@Soliel75 Right, it is way too soon for air 1, but when it does come out. I think it should be limited to big heist or high value targets. Always hated how Nopixel brought it out all the time.

Balancing the behavior of crims and cops is really hard and I do not envy the devs. I hope that the individuals behind the characters can come together and find a balance that will satisfy both sides but don't forget that it will never please everyone. That is impossible.
The prodigy cops are good, but the mechanics basically make it impossible to actually catch someone. The infinite car swaps and walking while cuffed makes it near impossible to actually secure someone. You can say its not about the W or L, but L after L after L will grind down anyone.
@@TheStiggggg I think it's mostly CG that's hard to catch. CG must be a part of the 5% that's hard to catch. The other 95% seems fine. So for now I think it's fine until then. You are right though.
The way to fix the vehicle swapping is to increase acceleration of all non-PD vehicles across the board. Increase the time that it takes to lockpick, lower the top speed, increase the acceleration including making vehicles with 4 people accelerate the same as vehicles with 1 or 2 people. The biggest issues that causes the need to swap is that crims are unable to capitalize on any advantage they gain through out driving a cop, because as soon as they turn a corner, or if they go straight for long enough, the cop will be back on them almost instantly. Provide no advantage to swapping to two 2door vehicles, and you instantly contain the parameters of the chase. Approach it like that before going to taking out tires, because once that happens, it will just become a cycle of matching energy.

Just watched Client's new video titled: Peanut's Insane Escape and Arrest Following His Court Case Verdict. I agree if they not making any arrests they should slightly change something but i think everyone can agree we dont want NP pd KEK. I've thought about this for awhile as well.. crims dont just have to hand the "W" to the cops, but if the crime is not that severe, crims could be more willing to get arrested. If the car goes out, stay on foot, dont call for pick up etc. It blows on NP when pd treat every scenario the same and go full swat mode, but its also probably annoying to the cops when crims treat every scenario like they're about to get a 300 minute prison sentence when in reality its probably a 30 minute jail sentence. Well.. i guess the issue with that is 98% of the time crims have gun on them or illegal stuff..so ofc their going to try their best to get away. but seems like its easier to get guns/gear on prodigy. I guess it would also help if crims know their doing sbs type shit, dont carry illegal things on them so getting arrested is not as bad
I think an escalation step from pit/box/spike to "shoot out tires" needs to be taken. I know it's an escalation, and that crims won't like it, because they then can only get away with a pickup/foot-chase, but when it's a large violent crime, "shoot the tires" should be a card that can be played as a last ditch non-lethal move after car swaps.
If they aren't having problems with catching 95% of criminals then there is nothing that needs to change imo. Just because a few groups always get away doesn't mean the cops aren't doing enough. It just means those groups are very good at getting away. They will eventually get caught when they make a mistake. Trying to change the way the pd operates just to secure an arrest on a few specific crims is exactly how cops in other servers became hated by all crims.
It was lowkey insane watching a clip earlier from CG killing a bunch of people while the cops were driving around asking them to stop lmao. They gotta balance the behaviour so that both criminals and cops can have fun and actually rp.
I believe I seen on Brians vids, him say that if the crims are still robbing with a gun out they are suppose to tell them to leave and if they continue go for tazers. Without a gun out and robbing, cops aren't 100% sure those were the guys who shot. So they come in with force of telling people to leave or they will be detained, if they see someone shoot they are allowed to shoot the suspect. But if they don't see anyone shoot themselves, they are suppose to try and detain to investigate what happened. I'm sure someone in CG will get caught soon enough. all it takes if for 1/2 of them to get downed and not have enough time to get put in a car. Even if they do get put in, that removes car swaps. Cops just gotta be on that ass, at that point.
@mcorrelje yeah I really don't think they should be car swapping 4 times this early into the server. That's like super late rat strats imo. Are these cops not going for spikes after the 1st swap like I seen in their sops believe.

ok, but CG are the Michael Jordan/Tom Brady of cop chases. if you balance a server around them as baseline (like nopixel does), then the average crim will be absolutely fucked. imagine a beginner crim with 1-2 beginner crim friends that have basic stolen local cars try to get away from nopixel cops, ggs. once the server progresses more, and CG inevitably get caught and associated with each other so the PD can start to create a gang profile on them, it would make sense at that point for them to update SoP's to allow increased aggression when high profile criminals are believed to be involved in a situation. this gives pd the freedom to better combat CG (within reason), while still being fair to smaller crim groups.
