I've used the 16" M1 Pro for the past year+, and recently picked up the 14" M2. I use these on my lap about 99 percent of the time, and the 14" has me slouching down way more, and just isn't as immersive as the larger display. For lap use, the thermals do come into play for me. The 14" seems noticeably hotter, faster. As far as weight goes, I was really surprised that the 14" being a lb lighter, didn't actually FEEL lighter. im also planning to get this one, but I dont know if I should upgrade the ram to 32gb. im gonna use it for video editing. do you think 16gb ram is enough for this MBP?
That 16 inch though..... 👀 ! I Love Larger. Apple could've gave me a 20 inch but any screen over 14 inches is Amazing 👏 . Can't go wrong with either size. 16 for me but it cost too much but it's worth it because I can't stand Dell. I only like Apple computers and HP Computers. Dell seems to get The most corruption and it happens as soon as you let your computer security laps. I never have issues with Apple & HP especially the HP 2 in 1 that folds into a Tablet then back to a Laptop 💻.
Do you have European measurements when talking the weight of the MacBooks? Because we here in Europe never ever use US measurements, nor do I think we ever will. So it would be nice touch if you included European ones (including the rest of the non American/UK world), and spear us a hassle in looking it up ourselves (the audience) when enjoy watching your video. .
Great video man. Very thoughtful and everything else. I'm a photographer and I edit videos and photos. Basically, I'm trying to figure out which one would be best to own? And size wise also. I'm making a big upgrade cuz I currently have a 2012 Mac and not able to do much on it. Also, when it comes to the ram, what would be a good amount to have on it?
I’m an editor and sometimes I edit Long 4K videos - which one I look for , is it M2 Pro 32GB / M2 Max 32GB ( before the other Max one ) The cheapest anyway - I’ll choose the 14 inch MacBook and I’m totally confused I want 2 TB but it’s so expensive Beside if I take it I’ll handle and buy just the M2 Pro 32GB instead of M2 Max _ And I’m little bit afraid off the heating part but it’s okay, and we have 15% tax But I’ll look for little sales / I’m so interested in the chips & Ssd storages because most of the times I run out of space ! Even if it’s 1 TB .. and the part of “ Estimated TBW “ I didn’t understand it actually if you can clarify a bit , and thank you for this glorious thoughtful video ❤ Last question can i give up on the internal ssd against the external ssd ? If I had to .. i hope u can answer it and I’m sorry for the long paragraph 😂
And if I look for 2 TB I had to order it To the East & I think a lot of tax’s beside it Bec no Apple Store in my country And all of these specifications no one have by default But I hope I can find and decide the best choice that I won’t regret And the best price for it… I’m gonna take a long time to decide 🥲
@@CJKnowsTECH I'm not a "content creator", but a programmer by trade, who's writing software using a single threaded scripting language in a very lightweight IDE environment. I don't need a powerhouse - my ten year old MBP handles things adequatelly as is. The issue is that I need something smaller and more lightweight since I move around a lot. The old computer I own is, weight-wise, on the same level, give or take, as the current 16" MBP - which is quite noticeable, as well as uncomfortable and fatiguing to carry around. Does that make sense? Lol.
RUclips must pay well because these are expensive laptops, and you keep getting new MacBooks. Within the past 3 years, you have: M1 MacBook Pro 16-inch $3,000 M2 Macbook Air $1,600 M2 Macbook Pro 14-inch $2,400

thx for the video CJKnowsTech this thing looks beastly both are good choices
Im team 14” there’s nothing somebody could say to change my mind. Lol 😆
😂
So it would be nice touch if you included European ones (including the rest of the non American/UK world), and spear us a hassle in looking it up ourselves (the audience) when enjoy watching your video. .
I’ll keep that in mind for future videos thanks for the suggestion
The European measurements are in the video in parenthesis behind the US measurements at 1:00.
Everyone should wait for 3nm. No doubt.
A Mac computer 😍
I’m an editor and sometimes I edit Long 4K videos - which one I look for , is it M2 Pro 32GB / M2 Max 32GB
( before the other Max one )
The cheapest anyway - I’ll choose the 14 inch MacBook and I’m totally confused I want 2 TB but it’s so expensive
Beside if I take it I’ll handle and buy just the M2 Pro 32GB instead of M2 Max _ And I’m little bit afraid off the heating part but it’s okay, and we have 15% tax
But I’ll look for little sales / I’m so interested in the chips & Ssd storages because most of the times I run out of space ! Even if it’s 1 TB .. and the part of “ Estimated TBW “ I didn’t understand it actually if you can clarify a bit , and thank you for this glorious thoughtful video ❤
Last question can i give up on the internal ssd against the external ssd ? If I had to .. i hope u can answer it and I’m sorry for the long paragraph 😂
And if I look for 2 TB I had to order it
To the East & I think a lot of tax’s beside it
Bec no Apple Store in my country
And all of these specifications no one have by default
But I hope I can find and decide the best choice that I won’t regret
And the best price for it… I’m gonna take a long time to decide 🥲
i am so crazy purchasing macbook pro 16 m2 pro . is my first time buying mac product paying 2800
any one can say should i returned ?
3.5 or 4.7 lbs? Forget it. Air yo.
Lmao...
Lol.
Understood! Yup I get it and trust me I love the MacBook Air.
RUclips must pay well because these are expensive laptops, and you keep getting new MacBooks. Within the past 3 years, you have:
M1 MacBook Pro 16-inch $3,000
M2 Macbook Air $1,600
M2 Macbook Pro 14-inch $2,400
I mean I don’t keep every single thing I review…
thats weird for you to check somebody pockets
@@imbrion7981 Well I used to do it as a profession helping companies get the most cost effectiveness out of their employee benefits. Some habits never stop.
@@akin242002 well stop thats weird
Great video CJ I’m no professional but great comparison and breakdown, personally as I don’t get Laptops often.. I’ll be getting the BMW M3 MacBook Air 💻 hopefully 3nm and will last me for many years.. ^__^=
This video helped me make my decision, thank you! Off topic: which watch band is that? It looks like the Apple leather one but I don't see that color 🤔
Awesome! Yup it’s an Apple leather link "Golden Brown" (link): geni.us/GldnBrwnLeatherBand
Bigger is better. I like them real big😉
