Hundreds audition, but only a select group will secure spots in the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders training camp. DCC director Kelli Finglass and head choreographer Judy Trammell oversee the intense audition process and decide which hopefuls will make the team. - Развлечения
Literally only here to hear Kelly say “Touch the turf with all your glory” 🤣🤣🤣
SAME LOL
I love her classic lines also, "Shake what god gave you."
Literally same 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Year after year, "I've never done a kick line", "I've never done a jump split".
These women are trying out for a team which is known for the kick line and jump splits. Why on earth have they not taken any training in those techniques?
well, most dance studios don't teach a jump split... and it's NOT something you should ever try ON YOUR OWN for the first time.
@@BIGBOYMATD You're not wrong, but there are "prep for DCC auditions" classes taught all over the place, usually by former DCCs, that the women could attend.
The other one that has puzzled me is the skip out onto the field thing where Kelly is always fussing at them to hit their yard lines. That's not a secret, they can watch video of it, and go practice on their local pee-wee field.
Yeah you gotta pay extra for jump split lessons- think private sessions
Ok, the jump split might be totally new but never having done a kickline before is a lie. They had to do one when they went through the semifinals and finals of auditions.
@@CheerAngelLeShea if you want to get on the team then the private lessons would be worth it.
I’m surprised that no one actually practices the jump split before training camp.
You do not want to get it wrong and get injured.
Bcs you need to know how to do it right.
even if you don't know how to do it there's definitely training out there on how to do it safely
I agree. And to you guys talking about doing it wrong and getting hurt - we’re not saying to do it on your own the first time. But why wouldn’t you ask a vet to take 5 minutes with you after practice to teach you the proper way to do it and run it with them a couple times and THEN practice it on your own? Instead of waiting till the day of and never having done it and being scared to do it.
Me too. They know that they're gonna have to do it in training camp, so why not practice them beforehand.
Laceys jump splits and kicks NEVER dissapoint.
She definitely had the best I ever saw. Her jump split was truly a split too.
She was my absolute favorite dcc ever. Next is Kashara and Maddie. I wish they were still on the team. I know they moved on but it would be so awesome to see them together again for a performance.
didnt she kick herself in the face one time 🤣
@@heatherlynsey3092 yes at her rookie auditions in 2014 🤣
to me the whole kick line looks absolutely flawless- but then Kelly is like “this is a chaotic mess!!”
😆😆😆 same
Right ? 😂 Its just the teained eye, but hey the most mistakes she fixes, the more flawless it looks
How scared I am every time to watch the candidates do the split jump for the first time. I always hope that none of them get hurt.
They deserve to be paid more for how much work they put in
You can thank Erica from season 9-12 for them making more $
I think their real reward is the fame? I mean, they get exposure. And probably can pick their dance/cheer futures after their time on the team. Or get a rich man. The girls are very flexible and very pretty. The exposure and fame doesn’t hurt.
@@amyx231 exposure doesnt put food on your table genius
@@penultimania4295 tell that to the Insta girls. Or the…cough…more risqué platforms. Women don’t join cheerleader teams to get rich. Unless they want to be working as directors or something after.
@@amyx231 That means they shouldn't be paid accordingly? You sound like a typical american :)
They were really tolerant in earlier years. Half of the girls that made it to the old training camps would not have made it past auditions today.
Cassie Trammell wouldn't make it on the team today. She is far too basic and average and her dancing is mediocre at best
@@RealTalk1411 true 👍🏽💯
3:00 when she paused after “you gotta touch the turf with...” I’m like oh god... was not expecting “all your glory” literally dying 😂🤣
17:55 “oooo wow Judy you got to one then you stopped” lmao I can’t 😂😂😂this is too funny
All the candidates are so respectful and sweet even when they're treated as crap and called out about how "bad" they are in front of everyone. I could never
I wouldn’t say they are treated like crap.. I did dance for awhile, it’s very common for coaches to yell/ call you out like that. Its just faster and easier
How did Ashley "fall out of stupidity"?...kicks make people fall literally ALL the time??
Edit- I also don’t get why the girls that have never done a j split don’t get with a vet like way beforehand to learn how to do it..it’s not like they don’t know that it’s coming. They all definitely know they’ll eventually have to learn it. If it were me I would most certainly not wait till the day of to learn how to do it. Like definitely not. I’d probably ask a vet to get with me to teach me how to do it within the first week of training camp and then continue working on it on my own. I don’t get that…and I feel like a Kelli and Judy would almost expect that of them… Eh... Just my thoughts.
Aw, rookie Maddie, she went on to become an icon!
I'm still sad that Brianna didn't make the team. She would've been a great teammate. She just seems like a very sweet person
I was hoping she'd power up, get her kicks up, and come back.
"A little shooting pain in the spin....but apparently that is normal" 🤔💔😳💔👀
Terrible!
That doesn't sound normal at all
That first time doing the jump split full out has to be so scary. I understand the fear of hurting yourself because sometimes if you do, that's end of your dance career.
In High School HB ,Cali..We did kicklines jump splits,& the leg lift up , and we actually turned sideways after ,and "fell" /sat down in a ripple, like tin soldiers ..was super cute.. jump split harder alone imo..
knee spins in the mud..lol.the good ole days
"You've got to touch the turf with...all your glory."
As others have said, practice the kicks and jump splits before you try out and keep practicing.
4:55 girl on the end is so spectacular at kicks she is literally kicking herself in the face wow
I remember the jump split and the fan kicks from my dancing days. I loved the moves, but now in my later life I’m needing hip replacement. I wonder how many of these young ladies will be going the same route? These moves are hard on the body!!
I love seeing Kelli talk in her phone its hilarious 😂‼️👍🏽
It always shocks me that these ladies who are trying out to be a DCC haven’t even attempted the jump splits before. You know it’s an essential component of making the team.
And many haven’t done high kicks either.
Boggles the mind that most aren’t prepared.
Very nearly all dance studios and teachers forbid their students from jumping into the splits because it’s very dangerous. It’s waaaaaay too easy to have an extensive injury that will affect you a long time after recovery or require surgery. It shocked me when I found out that the DCC requires their cheerleaders to do it!
@@watermelonroxx all I could think of is torn knees!.😳
"Jump split is an unnatural move that has a lot of risks in it" > what a great idea to come up with and make them do. I get that it's definetely a unique signature move, but like... What the heck?
pretty much every move in all forms of dancing are risky and unnatural.
'Touch the turf with * short silence * all your glory'
I still want the episode of Holly quitting.
I think they should do the jumpsplit after already wearing the boots so the heel doesn’t get stuck when they first starting using the boots and they aren’t used to them.
Please tell the story of how the jump split came about!
It started in the 90s
Lacey will always be my #1 DCC she was and still is the full package. ❤
Agree
Please do DCC Journey for the retiring veterans. Savannah, Cianna, Rachel A, Alanna and Briana.
oh my gosh Savannah's retiring??? ;((
she just announced it on her instagram....
VICTORIA is not coming back
😪😪😪😪😪
@@BIGBOYMATD She's not retiring. She said she's taking a leave of absence. I wonder why🤔.
@@RealTalk1411 My guess is weight. She was benched at the Dratfs performances
@@EmVee. I'm wondering if she's pregnant.
Can you please do Tasha’s journey please please please?
Omg yes!!!
I'm going to start saying "I fell out of stupidity".
Like everyone one else has said … you know 1000% the jump split is required i would def be befriend a vet to help if have intentions of trying out… especially if I’ve never done one
I feel like if these girls wanted to try out for the team they should be practicing jump splits and kicks wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy before the camp. That's just 101 business if you know the team is notorious for certain things. like jump splits and high kicks. I would even include it in the audition.
I definitely suggest any studio dancer who knows they want to audition for DCC at an early age to join their school’s pom or drill team if they have one. That’ll solve any kick-line issue...experience!!
Yep 💯
Could y'all do Sydney Durso's journey? She was there for 7 years and it would be so fun to see her journey :)
"Are y'all ready to do it with the kicks?"
(Forgot to add...for $200 a day while the Cowboys and Kelli are making many, many, many times that)
a few of the girls on my dance team the years before became Dallas cheer leaders & rockets. My coach taught kids exactly like the Dallas cheerleaders, we where a "Pom" team but we trained our kicks. Honestly should have tried out after high school, I would have noticed no difference In coaching methods XD. My favorite practice rule of kick line my coach had was "if she pushes on you, PUSH HER TO THE FLOOR, push her out of the line and link back up with girls who can kick," bc if a girl is leaning on you while kicking you know all you have to do is flick your wrist and she'll be on her butt.
Kelly and Judy should demonstrate how the jump split should be done.
They did it during their time with DCC.
@@kariebossa4851 they didn't do the jump split back in their day.
They are too busy talking crap into their phones lol
Coaches:I'ts so bad.
Me: that the best thing I'v seen
Just looking at this, my part hurts and my legs are broken smh ...God bless these ladies 💖
“I come from a competitive cheer background, so I never had to really focus on pointing my toe” um are you sure about that?
I mean I commend these girls but if I were a dancer and want to be a dcc, I would practice the kicks and jump splits . The first time I heard a rookie intentionally practiced these was in season 15. I forgot her name it’s the blonde girl with curly hair.
i cant even do a handstand- 😭✋🏻
Ouch is all I can say about the jump split or for that matter any kind of split. Kudos to these gals 👏
All the "Yes Ma'am"s from the ladies you know you're in the south.
I really love how thy have so much passion and they made it this far and even when they were nervous they never gave up!
They always look terrified when it is time for the kick line/jump split. They know going in that this is a requirement.
I will never understand how you would try out for DCC and not learn how to kick line and jump splits before hand. I taught myself jump split in my living room at 10 years old from watching the show. Unfortunately I'd never get picked cuz Im "too fat"
agreed -- and how could they not have even practiced a kickline? of course, this is a reality show and drama sells .... I am sure most have done it before
Jenna was soooo young
And her voice 🥺🥺
Jenna was only 18 when she tried out for DCC.
After the team has been announced. I have seen on tv you take the girls to a location so that the girls get to know each other an have fun
Why would they not train in jump splits before auditioning? That’s like auditioning for Wicked and saying “I’ve never belted before”
I had to do jump splits in drill team and I can say it is really dangerous if not done correctly, I've pulled my muscles and damaged my womanhood anytime because I'm on the end since I'm the shortest with people who are much taller, and don't get me started on my high kicks 😐 being on the ends SUCK. It's much harder. (Also how can they point in tennis shoes? Props to them, I do it in drill team boots)
how come most of them don’t have experience with jump splits i literally do them at my school drill team for my kick line??
All lot don’t because it is so dangerous and takes extensive training
Like a lot of the people are saying rn in the comments, I don't understand why these girls aren't taking advantage of this show and practicing the entrance, kick line, and jump split. Kelly and Judy probably would be happy if someone came into training camp or even into auditions who knows how to to the kick line and has obviously practiced.
I love the cheerleaders there we go to cowboys games all the time I love how many cool tricks they do tell them I said there so aswome and I admire them and GO COWBOYS
More splits -- it's always better than one
I am always the short one so girl your perfect the way u are
I wonder why a lot of them don’t try to practice the jump split before auditioning
32:13 is the best part
My son dated a dancer for ‘da bearz’. I know Dallas is supposed to be the gold standard and I’m not comparing. When she and a few friends would practice those split jumps. They’d take four mats and place them about 5 “ apart, 2 mats high so they were landing lower than ground level. All the moms were about 30 and still groaned on every jump split
I just love how tan all their legs are but their torsos and arms are so much lighter
Tights.
@@stephanie22345 that explains it
I'd go into already knowing how to nail this stuff. How are they so unprepared past season one of this show?
Best of Brittany evans please
i know saying “yes ma’am” is a sign of respect but saying it after every little thing is so annoying
How on gods earth does anyone kick that high 😮 respect to all these girls
Why does she raise her hand every time she says “yes ma’am”…? Is that a thing?
probably because the coach is in the stands and theyre really far out on the field :) i think its just so the coach knows the cheerleader heard what they said.
I wonder how tall she is. She really does look tiny!
The Cowboys Facilities at Frisco, TX are iconic!
Hi I love y’all and I just watch you like all the time
I wonder if they are going to do the regular kick line and jump split this year
They will be on the field so I think they will
@@EmVee. I saw practice n they didn’t link arms is how old or new the clip was n all have matching masks to the uniforms
@@Aprilrainsss They will get vaccinated in order to perform on the field. Showgroup performed at Six Flags over Texas 2 days ago and linked up for the kickline
Jump splits are so fun though
I'm about as flexible as a crow bar. They terrify me just watching!
Right I self taught mine and it was the best thing ever
To do all that physical work with huge smile on your face must be tough.
Y’all should do every game day
De vraies sportives, bravo les filles
How have these women never done a jump split? I had to do a jump split in high school.
A lot don’t because it is so dangerous and takes extensive training
I got my period after that jump split. Good God, I tip my hat to these women!!
I’ve known how to jump into a split since I was 6.
i had a feeling yall would be uploading todayyy
Pluto tv needs to be updated !
I agree
I ended up buying seasons 13-15 on Amazon because I got sick of waiting for Pluto
Damn the coaches are so judge-mental they could be more sincere
I was a cow boy cheerleader 📣 the jump splits kill the first time x
I found no flaw is what they're doing except when one of them did the jump splits early
Honestly... This is gymnastics and cheerleading 101 when you're their age. It's a bit scary and intimidating but it really isn't difficult if you've been training as long as these ladies have been. Its very weird to me they haven't done them prior to training camp for the DCC. Also why were those kicks at 8:24 so darn low?
They’re marking it.
They ask waaay to much out of these girls.
I would like to start training in July
How’s training going?
Such a tiny tiny amount of comments
I want to be a dcc when I grow up
Better practice kick lines and jump splits then, no one seems to know how to do them lmao
@@samanthafaucette5512 hahahah ya
Definitely focus on your dance and your performance if you can do you drill team at your high school and practice practice practice.
More kitty karter
I want to learn the jump splits but after she said “we’ve had career ending hamstring injuries” Im so scared
The coaches are always so passive aggressive and mean I can't imagine the mental torture of being involved in dcc
Hey, why don't you guys post "Kitty Carter best hits"?
I think they have a “Best of” for kitty
Kali looks so much like Jessica Simpson.
13 percent
Me to
Don't know why Judy was calling Emily out for a bent arm. Courtney, the girl right next to her has a bent arm as well. I think she was just going to get cut from the get go. You know like it wasn't going well for her and they were looking for a reason in particular to let her go
I don't know if is just me but i always look at there training/ practice uniforms and just think in my head i want that one or i want that one because there bedazzled uniform they wear is s cute i just want one!
i just dont understand how they can see whose leg is a bit lower in a few seconds of kicks 😭😭
The jump split looks scary I never done 1
If they already know the jump splits will come up, why on earth don't even practice once before audition 😅
DO YOUR HOMEWORK
I am surprised that you guys are so flexible I am in gymnastics and I can’t even do those things you guys are awesome how Maddie why😽😽😽😽😽😽😽😽😽😽😽😽😽
