Beautiful vibrant colors! I love hummingbirds. We have several feeders, they are really wonderful to watch. They’re so funny, if the nectar runs dry, they literally fly within a few feet of my face and hover.😂 Like.. WTH? Where’s my food!?! As soon as I say “Alright.. alright I’m off to go make more.” They’ll fly off satisfied they’ve made their point.😆
For an alternative to tape.. there’s another channel called Pour away, they sell similar brass forms. They’ll pour a thin layer of resin onto a transparent acrylic panel and smear it around with their gloved fingertips. Then they place the form into the resin and let it cure. This will seal in each cell. A piece of acetate or silicone mat should work too. They have videos showing this technique. Great job Claire!❤

I'm actually considering decorating a bedroom in pink, orange and yellow. I love the combo!
Also, you can have some of our sunshine. I'm in Kentucky and it's been near 100⁰ F (38⁰C) several days. And the humidity makes it so miserably hot and sticky.

If you had a needle tip bottle, one where you can choose the needle tip nose sizes, you could choose a size, attach to for better control with smaller areas. You could also add a needle tip nose to an empty bottle, squeeze the bottle, stick the nose into the place where you have added the wrong colour to suction some resin out. You could try putting the nose to a pipette & seal with a glue gun to make it easier to remove & then use the pipette to suction some resin out.

Claire, I use Frisket film on the back of my pieces. It comes in a roll and you just roll it on to the back slowly and then cut it off. Super easy and no sticky mess on the back when you peel it off later.

Beautiful! I love this, would definitely be a craft my girls could join in with. (They aren't small kids, 11 and 13, old enough to take care and keep their ppe on.. 😊) They've always wanted to try, and I think this one would be relatively easy for them. 😊 I'm not sure they could put them in their windows though, I watched a video of Daniel Cooper's recently where he mentioned someone's resin piece started burning.. He did say it was a prism that the sun was shining through though, so maybe a thinner piece like this would be okay? I really don't know, I'm just a beginner. But they could still definitely hang them in their rooms, or make some wall art. Fantastic idea, will definitely give these a go! ❤

Pink & orange remind me of Hawaii for some reason.
The weather on Sunday was crazy as we ended up with lots of thunder coming & going all day plus the rain was crazy heavy & caused some flooding where I live. Thankfully not enough to cause big problems. Crazy for July. I think we have gotten used to very hot & dry prolonged summer weather.

I love Lia Dias technique where she uses the irridescent window cling in a large mold and places the acrylic on top of the cling in the mold. When it cures, peel back the cling and the pattern and shimmer on the resin. I hope this makes sense. It comes out beautifully. Im lucky I have a laser, so I can create designs to fit my molds.

Before attaching the tape, place your piece onto some paper or card & trace your shapes out. Then with a pen either colour it in or use short hand to plan what colours you want to go where. Then place under the tape & frame so that you can see your plan. Also you could cut out some pieces of paper/card & label each piece with matching colour codes as you have put on your template plan & place these in front of or under each pot of resin to help you pick up the right pot of colour before pouring it in to each section & to attempt to prevent you pouring the wrong colour into the wrong section.
I apologise for this being long winded. I knew what I wanted to get across, but the tossing & turning in bed which caused words to pour out of my brain’s vocabulary & dictionary.
