Culvert Erosion | FLOW-3D HYDRO

If not properly designed, a culvert outlet can experience erosion and undermining due to high velocities of the discharged flow. This FLOW-3D HYDRO example uses the sediment transport physics to compare a few design options for the culvert outlet. Modelling different geometries is easy to do with FLOW-3D's structured meshing approach as the same mesh is used across each one of these examples. Only the 3D CAD geometries were modified for each model run in this video.
