- In this video, I am entering a 144F cable and two 72F cables into a 400D FOSC, i will be going over the techniques I use to get a proper seal on the cable heat shrinks

Love the videos brother. I fly out to Utah Sunday and start training as a splicer.
I agree with previous comment, foil wrap should be halfway inside the shrink. Also the path to least resistance when opening the port hole, apply a little heat first. Then the knife will glide like butter.
Thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate it 🙌
Yeah the entire point of the foil wrap is to protect the plastic cable jacket....by the time he finished heating 1 of the cables heat shrinks was completely above the tape😅
I’m so glad we never use these cases at my work. That heat shrinking process is super slow!!!
Yea we only use these cases on feeder networks so not always building them but I sure have built a lot of them over the years
Puny little plumbers blow torch doesn't help.
Great video!
Thanks for watching And subscribing I really appreciate it
Suns out guns out 💪🏻
Gotta let em watch eh lett emm watchh
What does FTH stand for? We are calling that box with the splitters the PFP Primary Flexible Point.
Good question, FDH stands for Fiber distribution hub. Thanks for watching
We use those cases, use a heat gun will open and shrink the seal much faster aluminum sleeve is a lil too far out , 🤷🏽
Yea I use both The torch and the heat gun couldn’t find my heat gun that day thanks for watching 🙌
Crazy this video is a year old .....i thought these splice cases were obsolete in California we've been using 450's instead of 400's for years.....the gel seal is much better
Thanks for watching and commenting. Depends on the customers requirements for this particular customer they like there feeder networks built in the the 400 foscs and the distribution done with the 450D foscs just is what it is every customer has different requirements on how they want the networks built.
im ur new subscriber. can u plz tel me in iptv network router and switches use LC (duplex) connectors by the way in customer end (ONT) there is SC/APC connectors used how its possible thx in addvance.
When it comes to connectors it all depends on the equipment being used all connectors work just depends on what you need to connect the equipment any connector can be put on the end of a fiber
The cables are to far into the FOSC, the ring cut should be aligned to the base of the enclosure as stated in the manual section 5.4.
Otherwise, nice work
It's not a ring cut those are tails😅.....the cables were brought to the base of the enclosure I think you're confusing the central core tube with the outer cable jacket
only the tip
😂🤣
