It took awhile but are finally at the final category for the 2019 Lamley Awards! With 2020 RLC Memberships opening this week, it is time to vote on the best of last year. Watch the video and follow the link above to vote. Remember, you choice will ONLY COUNT if you vote in the poll above. What will it be?
It was a real struggle this year to pick one over the rest. Really close with the Super Nova, Willys, Mercedes and C10. I picked the C10 because the color is perfect and the feature. Plus, you can open it. The Super
Nova was a close second because of that packaging.
3rd Honda s2000 2nd chameleon Nissan and first, I have the Honda s2000 and well the pink Beatle. .. but the weight of the c10 the dial and the color wins it for me for the chevy c10. Love that truck!
It was very hard to choose, Mattel did an excellent job with all of these.
I'm going with the 300SL. Maybe not the best color choice, but I like it. And the casting was so well executed, and the stance is just right. And opening doors too!
My top 3 RLC favorites: 1) Porsche 964 (Spectraflame version). 2) '41 Willys Gasser. 3) 1970 Custom Datsun 240Z (Spectraflame blue).

I voted for the Lamborghini. The car is awesome. I also don’t know about you but for me, this is the closest I will ever be to owning a Lamborghini.

That chrome illusion Datsun probably is the best color wise, but I gotta go with the Mercedes Benz 300sl. Reason is that was the first 1/24th scale car I bought as a young girl and I always wanted it to be in hot wheels. About a year ago I was finally able to acquire the 1/18th scale for my collection. Plus seeing I’m no longer a RLC member I got put in touch with a member who sold me his Mercedes so I actually got one for the membership price. I do love the Lamborghini Countach, but the wheels ruin it for me.
Porsche 964 Version 2 obviously!!!....both lovely but the satin grey just pips it, I reviewed them side by side just last week, it’s close though.
300SL Gullwings pretty cool too, love that green!

Difficult to vote, liked them all. Only 1 I didn't get this year was the gray painted 964. Love the Steam Punk Truck - lots of character, lots of detail & great colors. Think I'm voting for the C10. I collect the 67-72 C/K, don't have them all yet but this 1 is beautiful. Love the colors, love the wheels, love the adjustable suspension feature. Looks great raised or lowered.
When I see this the r34 has 43% of the vote
I voted for the 41 Willis Gasser. THAT is THE gasser model for me. There is something oddly amazing about that paint. That and its a Willis Gasser! Second choice would be the standard paint Porsche. I just really like my Porsches.
All around best 55 gasser.....wheels..paint..tampo....stance..10/10!!
Lots of nice models but the '55 Gasser is my favorite.

It's super hard to vote on this. The variety of brands seen here makes choosing so hard since I have so many favorites. I love that Camaro since it has the original tooling with suspension (you NEVER see that anymore in any other line), the ridiculous color-changing paint on the Z, the "needs no introduction" R34, and the icon of a decade that is the Countach. I think out of all of my personal go-tos, I have to concede that the Mercedes is the best model this year.

The c10 probably would have been my favorite but with all the quality control issues. It's not getting my vote. I noticed yours has a crooked tampo also. Probably my top 3 are
1. Countach
2.WW2 Flying Tigers gasser
3. Skyline (details on this one are probably the best of the year)

Skyline GT-R (R34) was a fav but I just had to choose the 41 Willy Gasser.

I would have voted hands down without a moments hesitation for the 300SL if it wasn't for the paint. To my way of thinking the spectra flame paint just doesn't suite the car. Then again it is a Hot Wheels car. I grew up on Matchbox as Hot Wheels didn't come out until I was about 10. Compared to Matchbox they were all the spectra flame equivalent of the day. I remember thinking that these were cars like I saw at the Autorama! They're hot rod show cars!

To me they're all great castings but I voted for the 1955 Chevy bel air gasser. 👍
The skyline was great in the fact that I was able to flip it and have it cover my membership cost and a couple of other RLC cars.

Of course everyone’s voting for that gtr. It’s a good looking casting, but the car itself is way overrated. That 300 SL is a wonderful casting. Though it’d look better in a factory color, and the rims are wonderful. That and that c10. 67-72 Chevrolet pickups are my all time favorite trucks. I’ve owned a number of them, and the lack of good die cast second gen c10s is depressing. I like this casting of this 69

I think this was only a so so year, I'm not a fan of the new waiting room and to know that people with superior computer skills know how to bypass it I'm even more upset. show up early and wait forever some sales only to read that somebody else forgot and signed in late just to go right through to sales page before me. Or the people who get told to sign in over and over.Not enough neo wheels this year either. Still loved all the cars I bought.

I vote for S2000 because it's simply love, but there's Countach, the 300 SL, the Datsun Selection are also amazing!
Gotta be lambo, or merc benz. First of their kind to ever make it to rlc. Friggin mattel man. Ferrari rlc’s would a been bomb and through out their years with the license, didn’t put down a single ferrari rlc release.

Mine is the flying tiger 55 gasser with the rivet in the back of the front axle and the willys gasser and the purple nova gasser glad to say I got all 3 and doubles of the willys and nova thanks friend we appreciate what you do for the hobby

When you flashed the images of the Porsche at the beginning, it made me really dizzy. Maybe you should have a warning if you’re going to have flashing images next time. Just a suggestion.
