As a single woman at 49 years old, I am amazed at the job that women are doing every single day. I honestly don't know how all of you do all of it, all of you are just phenomenal.
I hope that all of you are being monetarily compensated, for endless 24 hour service to groups of people. This work is invaluable and not appreciated nearly enough. I wouldn't last a day, cooking multiple meals for a group, and so many women do it and not only make it look possible, you all do it like professionals. Thanks for sharing, it really is interesting. You all should be celebrated.😉

Thank you for your Fragment Fridays! You've taught me to make some things ahead to save time later on. It has enhanced our dinners overall. With the early work done, making dinner can take about an hour usually instead of two or three. Although I only prepare for 4 people usually, your ideas have been amazing. Thank you for the good thoughts, words and actions. Wanted to tell you about Baked Sweet Potatoes with Ginger and Honey for Brooklyn, also Bulgur Salad with Cucumber, Chickpeas, Red Peppers. Most of us understand just fine what your Fridays are about. Some of us call it meal prepping. You can call it what you want. I've always enjoyed watching you use what you have. It inspires me to meal prep so I have time to enjoy my life.
It's nice to see how you changed from freezer meals to meal prepping. It shows how your kids are changing and what they like. I don't eat most of the things you eat but I've learnt a lot from watching you.
It’s too funny but I never noticed the sounds in your kitchen but I think that’s just normal life in the home. I enjoy fragment Friday because it’s inspiring us to use what we have as well as doing new things like Hello Fresh. You’ve inspired me to,look what is still left to create good meals for my family. I literally try to not go to the store and make what I have work. 😀 Game changer! I truly enjoy each day! You have truly encouraged me in so many ways as we transitioned from ministry life back to working in a private Christian organization and life seemed very lonely as we moved forward. I came across your channel before Covid and when I learned you were near the table rock area, I kept watching. We stayed at a home in NC for a week of rest and our daughters attended a Christian camp nearby. Hope you have an amazing weekend with the family!

Gather your Fragments can be so many things: simply eating leftovers, incorporating leftovers to create a new meal, making a meal with substitutions because you don't have your usual ingredients. Basically getting creative and getting food on the table! I'm inspired by your Friday videos, Amy!

Quinoa with tabbouleh salad is my favorite meatless meal. Your daughter may like it! Tons of flavor from the seasonings and dressing.

I have never tried dipping my eggs in mustard, but a few years ago my aunt told me she squirts some mustard into her eggs like you do with the sour cream, and scrambles them. I have been doing it since! I will have to try dipping them in mustard next time! My husband loves ketchup on his eggs, I can't stand the thought of that haha!

I never heard of putting sour cream in eggs. I have done milk before. I always have sour cream so I'm gonna try that 🌝
Yep ketchup here on eggs too. Or Salsa. My husband uses hot sauce.

We use a little bit of heavy cream or milk. Helps keep the scrambled eggs moist if you have to reheat them if making ahead of time.

I had ketchup on my eggs and I've scrambled eggs with onions and tomato paste, salt and pepper to taste eaten on homemade bread is good. Will try the mustard.
I had mayo on my eggs and my mother in law said that was weird. I said...egg salad? lol Then it clicked for her. I think the same thing is probably true with mustard. You put mustard in deviled eggs and sometimes egg salad. So, it would give that same type of flavor. Should be yummy.

Over here in Belgium, we speak Dutch/Flemish (Flemish is a dialect of Dutch) and the word in Ghent and East & West Flanders for children is "kinders", just the way you said it. Just thought that was a neat thing to know.
I make an edamame hummus that is always hit. Also I never put cumin in my hummus, a few of us are not fans of the flavor.

I always look forward to your Fragment Friday video. I live the concept of cooking it all on Friday. I do have a question though, how do you go about heating up all the big pans of food? In my mind, it seems like it would take just as long to heat it all up as it would to just cook it fresh. Please let me know how you do it.
