I cant believe these founders have never heard about hydroponics, its indeed a wonderful technique.
Nope , hydroponics is only good in small farms but once they want to expand it on larger scale . They'll have to burn alot of money , hydroponics is quite expensive to maintain. That's the reason why alot of companies who started hydroponics are making losses
@@Eswarr you are not completely wrong. Let me explain this to you with a simple example. Feasibility of something depends on the cost of its alternative, 100 years back skyscrapers did not make any sense because there was alot of land available adequate for horizontal development. but today they are very prevalent. Now with hydroponics also, overpopulation is making land scarce, so in next decade hydroponics is going to be a prevalent form of agriculture, because its alternative will get costlier. i expected this much of knowledge from these founders, an investor has to be a visionary, not like a layman, who only invests when he knows for certainly that this product is in trend.

Trust me I knew about this late 2019, bought a mini home three layer one and I planted all lettuce and to my surprise I grew beautifully and Trust me when I say this, during the lockdown I had enough lettuce to eat, I use to make everyday sandwich and roti rolls. It was a good survival food.

It’s sad now I don’t have enough time for this… but it’s a hit. We can keep my balcony and it’s beautiful.

Like-
1. Agriculture in countries like Japan where there is scarcity of land depends on such technique, they practice this technique on large scale.
2. This technique, since it doesn't need soil, is most suitable for less fertile or barren land.
3. This technique is less water intensive, so it will serve as a good remedy against ground water exploitation.

One suggestion I am a farmer and I can't shift to this, you can Target those people who live in the urban area and they can install your setup on their roofs with a lesser cost, logo ki hobby bhi Puri ho jayegi and healthy food bhi milega unko

This is very costly.. Minimum 25 Laksh se 30 laks spend Krna hoga.. Same amount earn krne me iss farming ka use krke next 15 saal lag jayenge.. so it's gonna be a Lost tech, It's not sustainable isliye government bhi support nhi krti
@@lakshya56481 that's why, I too said it's gonna be big in future. In fact vertical farming can be done with minimal efforts. They have made it complicated by introducing commodity price preduction. It's easier if the farmers try this by themselves.

Being a farmer, i have some veiws about hydrophonic.
1. 15 lakh for 5000 sq feet is way too expensive.
Explanation : 1 acre =43560 sq feet means almost 8.5 times, i.e. 15*8.5 =127.5 lakh.
Most of the farmer earning about 1 lakh per acre per year so it connt be affordable at large scale.
2. 90% of farmers grow cereal crops i.e. wheat ,maize ,paddy etc at large scale and this is not an alternative for that.

To make this big they should setup with there cost and take the profit percentage till they recovered 2x or 3x as average farmer don't have 15 lakh to invest in starting.
I have been doing hydroponic for the last 6 years as a hobby, what I can say, only Vineeta judged it perfectly but yes it will become big in next 20 years. Factories will be made where food will be grown by hydroponic.
